Need new graphic drivers for Satellite L650

Hello everyone,
I'm going to explain my situation, that I think many others have this same problem with the toshiba right now.
1 year ago and some month pass after I got my first laptop Toshiba Satellite L650-11F and in the beginning I was thinking this computer will work without problems for at least 2 years. Well, today I found one "BIG" problem with the toshiba... I can't install the new drivers for my graphic card AMD ATI Mobility RADEON HD 5650 from the official AMD driver website.
Today I buy Battlefield 3 for my machine, but my drivers are old, can't handle the graphics well and the solution is to download the new drivers from AMD, but is impossible. What I ask is for the Toshiba Dev's get the new AMD drivers ready do download as fast as possible, because right now I got in hands a game that was suppose do run without a problems and the old drivers killed the game completly.
I receive all the time new drivers for WLAN all the time, I don't need that. My graphic card don't have updates for almost 1 year, is a joke!

It is well known that display or graphic drivers for mobile units (notebooks) should be downloaded from notebook manufacturers download page. Offered drivers must be tested. Many people have reported the same but, generally speaking, it is nothing new.
Portable units have specific design and built in cooling system is designed to cool down hardware placed in notebook case. New drivers force graphic card can force graphic card to run with more power and offer more performance. More performance means more heat. If the cooling system canot cool down graphic adapter result will be overheating or even hardware damage.
Thats the reason why notebook manufacturers dont offer graphic card drivers update so often as manufacturers for cards designed for desktops.
One other thing: notebooks from series L are not the best machines for gaming. I have used several Toshiba notebooks in the past and it is my personal opinion.

What to say many notebooks are delivered with the nVIDIA GeForce FX Go5600.
So you can try to check another notebooks series which were delivered with this graphic card and try to use this display driver.

So check these both sites. Maybe you are a lucky man and will find a newer display driver!

Where can I find new display drivers for Satellite P100

Hello,
i need new display drivers for my Notebook (Satellite P100), but it's only Version 84.0 to download.
I need version 162.0 or higher.
On Nvidia Web-Site is the new 167.0 beta, but does it work with my system?

The Toshiba graphic drivers on the Toshiba European driver page are not the same like the original graphic driver from the graphic card manufacturers.
Therefore you cannot compare the driver version numbers!
Generally the graphic driver which appears on the Toshiba page is the newest Toshiba driver.

I bought this A100 (PSAAKL-00E002) in Malaysia. Below are the specs
* Intel Pentium Dual-Core Processor T2060
(1.73GHz, 1MB L2 Cache, 533MHz FSB)
* Genuine Windows Vista Home Basic
* 512MB DDR2 SDRAM
* 80GB Serial-ATA HDD
* DVD SuperMulti Double Layer Drive (DVDRW/RAM)
* 15.4" WXGA TFT display
* ATI Radeon Xpress 200M, up to 128MB shared VRAM
* Integrated Wireless 802.11b/g
* 56Kbps Modem
* 10/100Mbps Ethernet
and upgrade to 1GB Mb RAM currently.
I occasionally get BSOD in Vista Basic. Not that frequent but occasionally BSOD. I felt the new Vista is kinda sensitive to any drivers changes. Eg. screnario: I bought a new mouse, plug it and it will start installing the itself. After installing the mouse drivers, i went to control panel->mouse to change some settings.... well.... BSOD... :(
So i decided to downgrade to Win XP Pro instead. I manage to get everything installed except the graphics card drivers: ATI Radeon Xpress 200M.
I tried to download from all the Toshiba website but none of them is working. I even tried to download from ATI website itself. Everytime i try to install the drivers it prompts me, missing "INF".

yupe..i'm facing the same problem. it is not BSOD but it is freeze and halted. You can try to remove one additional ram. It will work fine in single 512MB RAM. I tried single 1GB ram, it will halt in vista too. i had post the message, but i can't found the message anymore in my history message now. someone is reply me but my post is missing now?? :(. help!

Need Win7 graphic driver for Satellite C75D-A7310

I have a new Satellite C75D-A7310 and installed windows 7 64 bit on it but can't find the drivers for the video chipset. Does anyone have any idea where I could get this. I have tried Toshiba website which was no help.

It was not easy to find something useful because all newer models with AMD Quad-Core A6-5200M Accelerated Processor with AMD Radeon HD 8400 Graphics are not supported for Win7.
After long search I found older model Satellite C50D-A with the same specification and it is supported for Win7 64bit so display driver you can find here . I hope it will works for you.
By the way: I hope you have created recovey media if your notebook was delivered with preinstalled OS.

-Some chipset drivers (?) (PCI Subsystem or something)

Hi,
unfortunately there are no drivers available from toshiba at the moment, but you can try using generic drivers from the manufacturers of the hardware
(e.g. if the soundhardware is a realtek soundcard then download drivers from www.realtek.com and so on..) and run the machine with these drivers.

Need Win XP drivers for Satellite A100 (PSAA2)

Dear all!
I had an troyan horse program, so I have formated by Portion Magic.
I have installed 2 new Windows (Recovery cd-rom for XP is corrupted) on "C" and "D" , but there are some problems now:
the following things are listed with an "?" in the device manager: 1.
Ethernet-Controller
Sm Bus Controller
USB Universal Host Controller
pci device (PCI Bus 7, device 6, function 3)
videocontroller (VGA-compatible)
2. I checked the system by Everest, but it can not recognize that device (marks as [NoDB]).
3. I can not install driver for that devices from Toshiba site....Windows does not see, does not recognize drivers for Ethernet-Controller . Absolutely.
I know that procedure, but that driver could be installed by any way!!!
4. Especially important. I can not connect internet. Connection light is green, connection looks like to be OK, but I can not download any information from internet, I can not open any site!

Please have a look on the Toshiba Canada website. Its pretty easy to download all drivers:
http://www.toshiba.ca => Support => Mobile Computing => Drivers and utilities
Then you can search for your model.
Im a little bit confused because in question 3 you said that you cant install the Toshiba drivers and at the end you said that you cant find the Canada drivers
Please download and install all drivers and then problems are solved because without driver you are not able to go in the internet.

There are 29 of them. (There are only 24 listed for Windows Vista.)

Sound and graphics drivers for Satellite P200-1EE and Windows XP

Hello all,
I just bought a new Sattelite P200-1EE. I had it downgraded to Windows XP Service Pack 2. from Vista.
I have two problems:
1. I cannot find the graphics driver for the ATI Radeon Mobility HD2600 for Windows XP. When I hit the link,
I get an "could not connect to remote server".
2. I cannot get the sound driver to work. In fact, I can't even see the sound card. Ishel there something else I need to install?

Regarding the point;
1) It looks like a driver server issue possibly the guys maintain the server. I would recommend checking this in next few days.
2) First of all you have to update the XP to the latest state. All available MS hotfixes for XP must be installed. Very important are these patches; KB888111 and KB835221. You have to install these patches before the sound driver installation.

The Satellite L300-AA2 PSLB8C seems to be an Toshiba Canadian series.
But the drivers for Win 7 32bit could be also downloaded from the Toshiba European driver page.
The Satellite L300 PSLB8E is an European series and the same like the Canadian model PSLB8C.

But I must warn you, , momentarly there except for Wireless and the Display no other drivers available. Either they will upload the other one or you will have to search for the remaining drivers in the internet (like LAN, flashmedia, etc..)
But I think they should update the section soon and make the drivers available for us..

Improving Graphics Card for Satellite L650

I have a Satellite L650 and I was wondering if it was possible to upgrade the graphics card from the integrated Intel one to hopefully a dedicated one with at least 512 MB. I've tried looking around and it doesn't appear if you can, however I'm not the most technologically advanced person.
Also, if it is possible, could a link be provided to a graphics card that would work?

No, upgrade of GPU is not possible.
Mostly the GPU is soldered to the motherboard. But even if you would be able to remove the GPU from the motherboard, the BIOS would not handle another chip

Need New Graphics Cards For Editing PC

With the workload I deal with on a regular basis I often find it's my graphics that freeze up or it's just too slow rendering out Premiere Pro, After Effects and 3D work. So I'm looking to purchase either 2x(Mid Range Graphics Cards) or 1x(High End Graphic Card) for my editing PC. I'm really not that tech savi so I'd love some advice/recommendations to what I could/should get. By budget isn't that small but I wouldn't want to spend too much more for little difference (Maximum total £400/$650.12)

Have you had success to remove it from the mainborad?
Sorry about these questions but Im a little bit confused. As far as I know graphic card is part of mainborad and cannot be replaced separately.

I need some XP drivers for Satellite L350D-110 PSLE8E

Hello there.
I have now my brandnew Toshiba notebook. It comes only with VISTA, a very nice looking system.
But I want to use my notebook in our office too and then I need to install XP Professional.
XP is already installed, but i need some drivers to complete the system installation.

For the Satellite L350D and Windows XP there are all drivers available.
I think you forget to install two or more drivers.
Here you can download it:

Search for your model and you will get a list of all drivers. Then you can compare which drivers you didnt install yet.
As Jeffrey said, I should be the AMD Processor Driver, Realtek driver and the card reader.
