Need new page without header or foot?

When I choose a new page (document) in Pages 5.0.1 it still gives me a formted header and footer which I cant alter or remove. Please help

I have now found how I can take the header or footer away totally, (Pref in inspector and untic header, sorry if not perfect English I'm using Swedish version)
My problem is that I want to format the footer my self. Now it is divided into three fixed boxes and I need to adjust that layout or prefarably totally create my own.

the page more than 100 lines and try to format the text from ribbon actions(format text area). On mouse over of font or fore color, the control jumps to the highlighted content area and not able to select the color. The page scrolls down and not able to click

Consider this scenario also.
A content editor web part is added toward the bottom of the page.
Text is added to this (direct in the web part, not via a 'content link')
You highlight some text and go to the Markup Style dropdown...
Everything is fine until you hover over the "Paragraph" markup style, and suddenly the page scrolls to the web part you are editing, and you didn't have a chance
to click and apply the "Paragraph" formatting
I have tried testing this with text typed directly into the Content Editor, text pasted in from somewhere else, and text pasted in from somewhere else using "Paste as
Plaintext" option in the ribbon. In each scenario, I get the same results.
Furthermore, I have also tested this in both IE8 and IE9 and get the same results.
I can get it to occur most regularly with trying to apply the Paragraph "Markup Style" but
I've also seen this happen with Font Size (any font size). It's very frustrating since you aren't able to actually apply the formatting you need because the page jumps before you can click. Has anyone experienced this before. Any feedback would
help.

I try to apply full scroll bar to the page including header and footer, the ribbon is missing after I scroll down to the web part. And I cannot apply the "Paragraph" markup style to the content.
I recommend to use the SharePoint core styles to preserve the native functionality and GUI.
By design in SharePoint, the ribbon is always at the top. When you select the content, you can apply the "Paragraph" markup style in the ribbon.

Making a link to a new page without it appearing at the top...

Hi guys,
I have what appears to be a simple question, but have not been able to locate it on the boards.
I have a page in which I'd like to have several links to new pages I've created. However, I would NOT like those new pages to appear as quick links at the top of my web page. Is this possible? Every time I create a new page in iWeb, it adds that page as a link at the top of my Website. I want new pages without those links at the top...

Need to remove the header and footer regions on one page

Hi,
I have a requirement to remove the header and footer regions on one page only. The regions I'm referring to contain the following:
Header:
Company logo, Home link, Logout link, Preferences link
Footer:
Copyright info, Privacy Statement, Home link, Logout link, Preferences link
These are the standard Oracle header and footer regions/page items, so I am not specifying a particular page name, although it would be the create time cards page we want to modify.
Also, we only want to remove these regions/items from ONE page, not an entire responsibility.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

In order to hide,
Home link, Logout link, Preferences link
Use this code in the processrequest of the controller on the page on which you want tohide these
OAPageLayoutBean page = pageContext.getPageLayoutBean();
page.prepareForRendering(pageContext);
page.setGlobalButtons((oracle.cabo.ui.UINode)null);
And for hiding the Copyright info, Privacy Statement:
Click on Personalise page link
then Click on Choose Context
Choose "OAFooter" as Scope
and click "Apply"
and then Personalise the Copyright and Privay Statememnt icon and set rendered as False.

How to print main window data in second page without header

hi friends.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
I am printing billing docu details in main window ,the data is coming in two pages but there is problem in printing as the tables is continuing in second page the line is not coming for the table for first row,space is also coming for second page for header .
my issue is to remove space before printing table and line should come for the table for 1st row in second page.
please help .

1. For the line not coming on the top row of the second page, check if the rowtype u have used in the table has been given a border on the upper side.
2.For the space issue in the second page, I assume you might have used only a single Page in your smartform and the same page is called again.Hence as per the main window size and length data will be displayed in all pages of the smartform.
You may need to create a second page with the Main window length occupying the compete page so that data display starts from the top of the page. next Page attributes of the smartforms should be entered accordingly.

Repeating entered field on subsequent pages as header or footer

I have created a static form that in case they print the form and the subsequent pages get separated they would be able to identify by the last name appearing on all the pages in either the header or footer. Any help?

Creating new page without linking to nav bar

I am creating a website that will have lots of pages. How can I create a page that doesn't link to my nav bar? IE.. I have home, about myself, resources etc.. each time I make a new page and name it, it automatically lists the webpage name in my nav bar. I only want say 5 topics in my nav bar but will have well over 50 pages in my site.. How do I do this? Thanks.

How can I have pages which do not display in the navigation menu?
1. Open iWeb then select a page you don't want to display in the top navigation bar
2. Open the Inspector and go to the 'Page' tab
3. Uncheck the "Include page in navigation menu" box
4.Now this page will not appear in the navigation menu but the navigation menu will still appear on that page as the "Display navigation menu" is checked (unless you uncheck that one too)

Hello! I would like to create a new page in the top level section. However, I do NOT want to link it through the menu bar widget... and instead, link it through a hyperlink or button from one of my main pages. I do not want this page to be a drop down from the menu bar either. Thank you in advance!!

News page without using blog theme

Hi,
I would like to add a news page on my iweb site where i can write small texts.
I want to display the title and a few lines with a "read more" feature
Using the blog theme is not what I want because I don't want people to have access to the archive of those news.
or is it possible to hide the archive page for site visitors?

You can use blog template and by pass all the above problems (your concerns) with AJAX aka fancy javascript and redirect straight to the latest blog entry - there is no manually link to the latest entry.
I had built a widget that would would work in iweb3, but there is accessing problem the widget with iweb2. here is my example: http://www.cyclosaurus.com/
notice the above page redirect to my latest blog entry...
all that is done with javascript, so how are you with javascript?

HTML format , setting header and footer on a page

Hi,
I am generating a report in HTML format .
In this I need to display the header and footer on each page .I tried to design the report layout according to the page.When I take the printout of these pages the header and footer are not in place . One reason I could find that if I show the data grouped by and the data for that particular group extends to the next page the footer shifts to the next page and the whole setting is disturbed. Is there any way to keep these haeder and footer fixed. Tried in many different way but could not resolve.
Any help would be appreciated.

check the REPORTS ESCAPES properties on REPORT LEVEL. there you can define text/HTML that has to be printed before and after the report, a page or the parameterform.

What code to navigate from page without opening a new page?

Hello, I have a flash button embedded into a css/HTML page that I want to use to navigate into a new page without opening a new window. Here's the code I'm using in the SWF which I got from the adobe tv tutorial:

The flash button is the "about Ian" button on the upper left. I want the navigation to be like the traditional rollovers on the page. (I'm working my way up to having the embedded flash button fade into place, that's why I'm using flash.)

If you look up the navigate ToURL function in the help documents it lists all of the window options available. For your case you can use:
navigateToURL(new URLRequest("http://ianmartinphotography.com/about.html"), "_self");

The appearace (CSS stylesheet) shown to the user depends on what stylesheet is associated to that user's Home OU. One style may be designated as the Default. If a default is specified, it is used for any user whose home organization (OU) has not be assigned a style. If no default is specified, the default Cloud Portal stylesheets is used. If a hierarchical organization structure (like in Cisco IA for Cloud) is used, you may specify that a style is inherited by all child OUs of a parent.
The high level steps to creating and applying custom stylesheets for individual organization units are:
Create a new folder in RequestCenter.WAR/custom e.g. RequestCenter.WAR/custom/ABC-Company;
Add the custom style sheets (copy and customize). Filenames must be custom.css and portal-custom-header.css.
In CP, go to Administration>Settings>Custom Styles. Add a new stylesheet by clicking Add and then navigate to the folder you created.
Assign OUs to this stylesheet. Note that a user may be a member of many OUs, but CSS stylesheets associated based on the user's Home OU. For example, if Sarah belongs to the Finance Team, the Marketing Team, but her Home OU is Operations, she will get the Operations stylesheet appearance.
