What is the need of Transport connection tab in RSA1.for example,I have a cube and I saved in a Transport request.using SE09 I transport it,then What is the need of Transport connection tab.

If you want to transport one cube only then you can transport it through Se09.
But if you want to transport 10 cubes and the corresponding infoobjects and structures along with it then it is not possible for you to go in each individual cubesand corresponding update rules,infosources again and again.......as it a big overhead.
With transport connection you have to just select the cubes and transport connection takes care of other issues with the grouping you use.
Also in the case of Queries it always better to use transport connection as you cannot trasport all the the constituents through SE9.
Also through transport connection you have the flexibility to change the packages of the elements insted of going to go each object individually.

We have two types of requests for BW objects..
1. Customizing Request
2. Workbench Request
and another One for Bex objects
Depends on the object type the corresponding requests are assigned.
ie During activation on prompting screen when you click creation buttion or assignment only corresponding request type will be created/displayed depends on object type.
In other way if you do it from RSA1-> Transport connection, it will allow you to assign only in the right request type with respect to object type else system through you a error with analogous message.
You can create request by different way.
Type 1. During object creation/activation, in prompt you can create a new request else you can assign in existing request.
If you are not getting the prompt during activation then reason is two..
a) Object is in $TMP development class where transport is not possible.
Here go to menupath Extras->Object directory entry->select object..(Assign in appropriate package/development class)
b) Object is already in the request, from se09 you can find the request where object is locked
Type 2. Creation of request from SEO9.
Go to SE09, Select appropriate request type radio button and click ok.
You can directly add the object inside the request if you know the object type and other required details.
Even here you can move the objects from particular request to another request by clicking on option"Include object"
Type 3. Creation and assignment of object from RSA1
From RSA1-> Go to tab Transport connection.
Collect all your required object similar to business content installation.
Click on truck button you will get a prompt where depends on the situation you have to create/assigne development class and create/assign requests.

Unable to find the Transfer Rules in Transport Connection

Hi Guys,
I am on BW 3.5.
I am unable to find the Transfer Rules created in transport Connection. I need to Transport these changes. I was able to Transport Communication structure and the Infosource.
I tried activating the Transfer Rules and also replicated the datasources but it does'nt prompt me for a Transport request.
Hence I need to explicitly Transport by going into Transport Connection where I am unable to find the object.
Please help me on how to include this object in the Transport request created.

Another way is to go the transfer rules or update rules or any object which you want to transport->extras on top>Object direct entry>change the package from $temp>rest you know

RMI Protocol over JRMP transport: connection refused

I changed the look and feel for disco plus to Jinitiator. I then started getting error RMI Protocol over JRMP transport: connection refused to host: 192.168.1.1
I changed the settings back to java plugin 1.4 but I'm still getting the same error on all client machines.
I'm running windows 2003 and application server 10.1.2.0.2

When you changed to JInitiator what did you set the style to be? Also, why would you not want to use the Sun Java?
Anyhow, try getting the users to clear their local Sun Java cache, this will release the applet causing it to reload upon next connection, and try again.
If you want to retry JInitiator, try this:
1. Go to Control Panel | JInitiator 1.3.1.x or whatever version you are using
2. Navigate to the Proxies tab
3. Uncheck Use Browser Settings
4. Click the Apply button
5. Close all browser windows
6. Reconnect to Discoverer Plus
If the above steps do not help, try editing the security details of the Options menu in the Internet Explorer using this workflow:
1. On the client machine, launch IE
2. From the toolbar, select Tools | Internet Options
3. Navigate to the Security tab
4. Click on the Trusted Sites icon
5. Click on the Sites button
6. Add a fully, qualified HTTP link to your server
7. Close all browser windows
8. Reconnect to Discoverer Plus
Of the two solutions above, the first is most likely to fix your issue. However, I advise all my customers to set up the application server connections as being trusted sites.
One additional thing would be to delete your cookies. Discoverer Plus loves cookies.

Pop up window occurs when assigning package in Transport Connection

Hi
After collecting objects through transport connection, when i click on Assign package button, a pop up window occurs, which says "Change package for the following Objects" and gives a list of all the objects and check boxes with it.What is the significance of this popup?...
By default i can see that some infoobjects and other objects are checked in this.But some of the infoobjects selected here are not required for my transport. When there are large number of objects
checked here, it becomes difficult to identify and uncheck the objects that are not required.
Is there a standard way to handle this popup?..or Suggest some options to overcome this...so that unwanted objects are not collected here...

I assume you want to transport your objects only. So just collect them in Transport Connection as you are doing now and make sure you have checked all required objects by you. And then just click Transport Icon (Truck). If any object from your list dont have yet package assigned, you can assign and then further collect in by giving transport number. You dont need to click Assign Package button.

Cannot See Transfer Rules in Transport Connection

I have searched Notes and Forums and have not found a solution for this!
I performed some configuration in our newly upgraded BI system. We
were on BW 3.5 and upgraded to BI 7.0
We also change how our landscape was interconnected.
Our BW Dev system used to connect to our R3 Sandbox system.
Now our BIDev system connects to our ECC Dev system.
This is the first project i have worked on since the upgrade was
successful. What I am finding is that I get the following transport
error when I look at the STMS logs from BID to BIQ.
Transport Error
Start of the after-import method RS_ISTS_AFTER_IMPORT for object type(s) ISTS (Activation Mode)
There is no DataSource with these attributes
Reference to transfer structure 1_CO_PA2900010_DS_BA not available.
No activation possible.
Here are the details when I click to get more info on the error message:

Message no. RSAR436
Diagnosis
Transfer structure 1_CO_PA2900010_DS_BA should be transported into this
system.
However, no DataSource mapping refers to this transfer structure.
System Response
The transfer structure was not activated or deleted.
Procedure
Ensure that DataSource mapping, with a reference to the transfer
structure 1_CO_PA2900010_DS_BA is on the same transport request. Use
the transport connection to create a consistent request.
Wierd Behavior
The big issue now is that when i go to the transport connection in RSA1
and I want to collect Transfer Rules, I see a small subset of all the
transfer rules I would expect to see. I am looking specifically for
the transfer rules: 1_CO_PA2900010_DS PCDEVC200
Similiar behavior occurs when i am looking for "3.x DataSources" in the
transport connection
I can see these rules in other areas of RSA1 such as Infosources.
Please assist with finding these transfer rules in the Transport
connection.
Other then this transport both ECC and BI system landscapes are up and running normally.

Thanks for jumping onto this thread. I am going to complete the transports and see if i have any system name conversion issues to address. I may need some guidance on ensuring that BID, BIQ and BIP have the correct entries in RLOGSYSMAP.
To answer your questions:
1. Was the new source system added as an additional source system or was the R/3 Sandbox source system renamed?
Bryan: The new source system was added by renaming the R/3 Sandbox source system/Executing BDLS. The original source system was PCSNDC200, and we BDLS'd that to PCDEVC200.
2. To what Source system do the transfer Rules belong to that you are missing?
---Bryan: The missing transfer rules (and all source system dependent objects that are missing) belong to PCDEVC200...I fixed the missing object issue, by going to "transport Connection" and clicking on 'Source System Assignment' (or Shift+F7) and then checking the box for my source system, in my case the box for PCDEVC200 was not checked previously.
3. Was the "conversion of Logical System Name" entries updated correctly after the new source system was added in BID?
---Bryan: The answer to this question i will find out tomorrow when I transport to Production (fingers crossed, the BID > BIQ transport went well with name conversion!)

AnyConnect List of Gateways in Connection Tab

Some of our users (e.g. researchers, technicians,...) need to connect to multiple VPN Gateways outside the scope of our Installation, often alltogether different companies. They find it tedious to manually change the gateway in the connection tab back and forth between our gateway and the gateways of the companies they have to log in to do a specific task.
Since the connection tab offers a drop down list (which contains only the last used entry) how is it possible for an end user to keep a record of used gateways to select from? Can the client be brought to remember previous connections?
I don't think that client profiles are of help because the actual list of gateways needed is specific to the respectivew user.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

In addition to what Rick correctly answered, you can manually build a profile file (or set of files) and save it in the users' proper local directory for those remote sites that don't publish a proper profile automatically.
The file locations vary by OS but for Windows 7 and 8 they are stored in:
C:\ProgramData\Cisco\Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client\Profile
...by default.
The syntax is pretty simple. Something like this (substituting your desired host name and address) suffices:

Transfer ODS with Transport Connection

Hi all:
       In Data Warehousing Workbench,i want to use Transport Connection to transfer ODS from DEV
to QAS; When i drag the ODS ZCH_DV01 into the Collected Objects,there is a error "Object '4C22YS5Z07BT88EVNXAO5S7YP'(ROUT) of type 'Routine' is not available 'A' ".
But although with the error,the ODS also can generates the Request ID.
I want to kown when i transfer the Request ID to QAS,whether i can use the ODS correctly in QAS and how the mistake take place.

    I check the table RSUPDROUT,but i can not find the routine item "4C22YS5Z07BT88EVNXAO5S7YP"
   in D or A OBJVERS. Wether i need to add the routine item into the table RSUPDROUT.
   Then i drag the DSO into the Collected Objects again, finding that the error not    same as the first    time;for example there is no "4C22YS5Z07BT88EVNXAO5S7YP" !

First we need to check , whether the LAN settings is set to detect settings Automatically or not.
Follow below steps .
1)Open Control Panel and then click on the option "Network and Internet" .
2)Click on Internet options, click on 'Connections' tab.
3)In the 'Connections' tab, select 'LAN' settings, you will be able to view the Local area network settings box.
4)Check the box-"Automatically Detect Settings" and then "uncheck" all the other check boxes like 'Use automatic configuration script', 'Use a proxy server' , Bypass proxy server' ,then click on ok button .
5)Click on "LAN settings" button again , make sure "Automatically Detect Settings" is the only option selected, keep the LAN properties window open.
Then launch Premiere Elements 12 and try to sign in.
If the settings were already set like that or you face same issue after signing in , let me know

Use an existing request in transport connection

I want to add objects into an existing transport request with transport connection.
How can i do?
Can i create a new one from transport connection but not transport it automatically? only insert objects inside it.

I think we can..
Please go through the steps below,
1. Go to rsa1 -> business content
2. Choose 'grouping' as "in dataflow afterwards"
3. choose 'collection mode' as "collect automatically"
4. choose 'infoproviders by infoareas' - choose appropriate infoprovider and 'insert objects for collection'
5. Select your query / queries
6.choose 'create transport request for BEx' and select appropriate development class
To Release a request....
se09/se10, 'modifiable' is marked, and 'display', cursor on you request and click truck button (release),
if request has 'child' request, need to release it first.
To delete or remove request
Goto SE03
Requets/Tasks > Unlock Objects
Give the Request num & Execute
Now Delete the Request on SE09
It is possible to rmove before transportataion from SE03. Well if you want to remove from after transportation it can happen in a case like this. While you delete the obect in dev, it should ask for a request and when that request is transported the object will get deleted in the target sys too.

Can't see Update rules and infopackage in the transport connection

Hello, experts!
I need to transport newly created (and activated) update rules and infopackage from Dev to QA environment. When I open transport connection and select infosource, I don't see new update rules and infopackage. There are few update rules for different source systems in this infosource and I can see all of them in the transport connection except for this new one.

Transport Connection of a Query

When I am in transport connection and choose my query, the characteristics and key figures are displayed. If I right click there are options:
Transport All Below
Do not Transport All Below
Add optional objects
Remove optional objects
What do these mean? Thanks

Has to do with whether all related objects get transported along with the query, e.g. InfoCube, Update Rules, InfoObjects, Variables, etc. Normally, for a query, you would <b>not</b> want to transport the Infocube or InfoObjects. If you created new variable for the query, that would need to go.
Never used the Optional Objects.

Configuring the Transportation Connection Point in defining Routes

Dear Friends,
I have to configure the Route Determination for two customers:
The Route follows like this:
Route-01: Norfolk--> Chicago---> Cleveland
Route-01: Norfolk--> Chicago---> Denver
I have configured everything except I am confusing in configuring Transportation Connection Point. This Trans. Connection Point is used for Load Transfer point.
In Trans. Connection Point there two Tabs called Reference Customer/Vendor wherein I can give the number of the customer so that while creating Sales Order the Route will come automatically. and Reference Shpng.pnt/Plant.
For the creating of Transportation Connection Point at Cleveland and Denver I dont face any problem as in both the cases only one customer is there because of two different customers.
But in the case of Chicago and Norfolk how can I give both the customer numbers so that while creating Sales Order the Route should appear automatically.
Could anybody explain which factor triggers the Route to appear automatically while creating the Sales Order?
I have to use these Transportation Connection Point in defing the "Route Stages".

I need to create a Transportation Connection Point to materialize a border between Canada and USA that will be crossed by shipments from Montreal to Boston.
Attached to this Transportation Connection Point, I have to fill in some address details.
Which address details am I supposed to fill in: the ones of the canadian border office or the ones of the american border office?

If the Goods are moving from CANDA to USA and the places like Air port orTrain station or Border crossing or sea harber comes under Canada then you can maintain the Canada address.

Selecting multimple items in the "connections" tab

is there a way to select and change multimple items in the "connections"-tab in DVD Studio pro?
I have a track with 40 chapter markers. The end jump of the first 10 have to go to menu 1, the next 10 to menu 2, etc.
Now I have to drag the menu-button on the right side to the left 40 times, and that takes a long time...
so is it possible to change a bunch at once?

You can only assign one at a time, however:
You can simplify the list (basic, standard, advanced) though you'll need at least standard or advanced to see chapter markers.
Also, I used this on several discs before I realized that not only could I drag targets from the outline on the right, but also drag a target horizontally from one source to another in the column on the left. I think that ill help you process quite a bit, where you are applying the same target to a consecutive stack of markers.
