Need part number - PAV board - eMac 1Ghz, ATI graphics version

I just acquired an eMac with a non-working display. The previous owner took it to an Apple Store and it was diagnosed as having a bad PAV (Power Analog Video) board.
Is it possible to get the part number for this board (without having to disassemble the computer)? The computer works connected to an external monitor but I'd like to get it fully working again.

Thanks for the reply. The part number on the board might be 820-1487-A. It is etched onto the board itself. A previous version of the eMac has a similar board with the code 820-1296.
It has been "advertised" as a PAV (Power Analog Video) board (on eBay and from a authorized repair center) but that might not be technically correct. It is a large circuit board that runs perpendicular from the CRT.

  • Need part number to replace primary internal battery

Hi, I have been receiving Error Code 601 stating my primary internal battery storage capacity is very low.  I am trying to find the correct replacement part number.  I have been searching the site but am not confident I have the correct part number.  My laptop is critical to my job and I must order a replacement ASAP.  I appreciate the guidance!

This is a slightly misleading error message as it does in fact refer to your notebooks main battery, not the cmos battery. The reason it is call an internal battery is to distinguish it from the extended batteries that you can purchase with some models that attach to the outside of the laptop. Your battery should have a label with P/N.

  • Has anyone else overclocked an Emac with ATI Graphics

I ran accross this the link below when researching if my Emac 800 w/ ATI graphics can be overclocked:
    http://www.lbodnar.dsl.pipex.com/eMac/eMac-upgrade.html
This person made it sound pretty easy and the thought was that this processor was actually underclocked by Apple in it's 800 MHZ version at the time, and could be run without overheating up to 1.33GHZ or higher. I however, could not make a lot of sense of how the soldered jumpers are laid out in the pictures and am not very experienced at soldering, so I am not racing off to pull the motherboard out of my Emac to do this mod. It seems like a great concept that a major speed increase could be had with just a couple of hours with a stready hand, a decent soldering gun, and some know-how of what you are doing.
Has anyone else tried this in the 5 years since this article was posted, as it seems like it would be a great upgrade?
    Steve

Actually mine predates the eMAc s with the capacitors issues (the USB 2.0 models).
I just though it was interesting that there were all these people teying that upgrade 5 years ago but no one has posted anything online about it since.
Makes you wonder if most of those overclocked systems self destructed after 6 months.
The only way I'd probably try it is if I located a cheap 800 MHZ system board somewhere and felt more confident about soldering in the first place (therefore I'd only be out my investment in the extra board if it didn't work).
I was wondering if anyone else had done this mod in the past several years.

  • Trying to replace the Keyboard for HP Pavilion DV7-3180us. Need part number & compatible parts.

I have a HP Pavilion DV7-3180us laptop.  I have to replace the Keyboard because I have about 7 missing keys.  I have been looking for a good replacement but I want to ensure that I am getting the lowest price and the correct part.   I don't have a lot to spend on it but it looks cheaper or about the same price, to buy the whole keyboard rather than the seperate keys.  Is this keyboard compatible with other keyboards?  This would give me more options to find one in stock and a reasonable price.  Also, need a new AC Adapter charger.  I have seen it listed with 3 different watts 65w, 90w, & 120w.  Is this accurate?  I find the parts listed under my computer manufacturer number but I am skeptical that it is correct.  I have seen some reviews where people say that the keyboard replacement listed for DV7-3180us did not fit.  Anyone with any help to make this easier I would very much appreciate.  Thanks.

    Hi:
My advice is to read chapter 3 of the dv7 service manual below, and cross reference the part numbers or only buy the parts you need with the HP part numbers.

  • Need part number part name for Mac Mini 1.42.

On the back of the housing that holds the hard drive and the superdrive there is a brownish flexible plastic strip that is the length of the back of the mini. Well when I was doing an upgrade of the superdrive I bent this plastic piece out of shape and it would not stay so I am running with out it. I assume, seeing the fan in on the other side of this plastic strip that it keeps the air circulating with in the system and slips out the sides of the housing. The reason I say that is before I did the upgrade the heat from the back of the unit was not all that hot now with out the plastic strip it blows extremely warm.
So anyone know the part name or number so I can look it up and see how much it is.

"Well if there were no serviceable parts then otherworld computing would not be selling hard drive and superdrive upgrades which is what I did along with a 1 gig memory upgrade."
That should actually state... "no end user serviceable parts".
Either way, just because XYZ Company sells parts, doesn't give anyone any special authority.
Just because the Acme Bungee Cord Company is willing to sell you a bungee cord, it doesn't give you any special right to strap yourself to the nearest bridge and go for a jump. (Splattered brains on rock formations are not included as bungee cord users are expected to use their head)

  • Dynabook C7 - Need part number for keyboard and touch pad

    Hi there!
I have a few questions about my toshiba dynabook C7 laptop.
I want to change my old keyboard and touch pad as they do not work properly. The problem is that i can't find those parts because this model was delivered only for Japan market. So maybe somebody knows number of the models of those parts that might be suitable for my laptop? Or name of the laptop that is similar to my dynabook c7. The full model name is TOSHIBA DYNABOOK C7/212CMEN portege 4101 series
    Thx in advance.
    Cheers!

Hmmm... it can be pretty complicated. As you probably know it is not easy to get any info about those specific for Japan produced notebooks. I am pretty familiar with Toshiba notebook models and your notebook can be the same as Portege A100.
Google a little bit around and try to find info about Portege A100. I believe this notebook was offered in UK only.

  • T430u need the part number for the Sata cable

I have a t430u where the Sata cable is broken, i need the part number, I have searched around, called lenovo support (they said it was under warrenty, the say it was a bad hard drive and want $600 to replace a board) I know it is the Sata cable that clearly has 2 broken wires.  how do i know, if i hold the two loose wires to the posts, the machine boots and runs, but it is way too small to solder. any help would be appreciated.
t430u, and it is the mini-sata on one end an a right angled non-sata end.  I don't have a picture until i get the laptop returned from IBM.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I believe 04W4436 is correct. In the U.S. IBM does the parts distribution.

  • Got an emac 800MHz with ATI graphics - What wi-fi card do I need?

    Hi all
I have bought a second hand emac 800MHz. It had 384Mb of ram (Which I have upped to 512Mb for the moment), bought it for the grand sum of £18
I have also repalced the cd-rom with an old DVD Ram drive which I had laying around
I bought Mac OSX 10.4 and got sent an original DVD (2 discs) and CD (5 discs)
I am using my Netgear WG111 usb wifi adaptor but would like to use an airport/extreme card so I can reclaim back one of my USB ports and give the adaptor back to my mother.
Now I am confused as to what eMac I have.
I know there were a different revisions of eMac.
I know it is an 800MHz CPU and it has an ATI graphics card.
Looking on wikipedia it says my emac is a "Northern Lights" model rev b and I should get an airport extreme card but I'm sure this is incorredt as the slot under the the screen seems very thin.
I bought of ebay an airport extreme card but it is very small and may be for a macbook even though it said emac in the listing but it only cost £8 so that nothing and I should be able to sell it on.
Is there anyway of confirming which one I need.  If anyone needs a pic I can take one when I get back from work.
Also I know Apple says not to change the hard drive but I have an old 160gig drive sitting in a draw and want to preplace the 40gig that is in there now!!!
    Can anyone help?
    Regards
    Rick

See if this helps with identity:
How to locate the serial number and identify your model
According to the MacTracker database and Everymac.com, you need an AirPort Extreme. However, both the ATI Graphics eMac 800 and the previous nVidea model (which uses the original, slower AP card) have model number A1002 so this could be a little trickey. An ATI 800mhz eMac should be order number M9150LL/A. Might look for that
Everymac.com has put up a beta page of a Mac search identifier here:
    http://www.everymac.com/ultimate-mac-lookup/?search_keywords=1903
It would be worth giving the new function a try.
"I bought of ebay an airport extreme card but it is very small and may be for a macbook "
You can look at the AP slot on your eMac and get an idea of size. It's easily accessed:

  • Ibook g4 12.1/1.33 -model M9846LL/A - need hdd ribbon part number!! help!

    Hi,
    Quick question..
I have an ibook g4 12.1/1.33Mh (model M9846LL/A) that was given to me, it works but but its looking for the system (hard drive) it needs a new hard drive, the problem here is that the old hard drive was taken by the former owner out with the ribbon included and I cant get in tour with him, so I need to get a new ribbon to be able to connect the new hard drive I already have - such thing missin I did not know until I opened the ibook-, I cant find such part number anywhere on the web or where to buy it... can anyone help me on this?, I have taken the hole laptop apart and just waiting for the ribbon.
The part number for the logic board is 820-1832-A if it matters...
    Thanks
    murillo

Thanks so much for your reply.... after looking around for a few hours I finally got the part I needed and order, this is the one:
    http://www.macrecycling.com/hard-drive-connector-ibook-g4-1214-p-100234.html
The last ibook made (12.1/14.1 1..33Mh) was built differently (logic board) and does not use the normal ribbon (like the one you were kind to appoint, this one connect to the other side of the logic board), this logic board does not have other connection for the ribbon, just a straight adapter on the same side where the hdd is located, it just needs an adapter to connect, look at this logic board:
    http://www.macrecycling.com/logic-board-133ghz-ibook-g4-12-p-100237.html
This one shows the actual logic board and as you can see the connection is made (on the left side of the picture just above the capacitors)...
Finally I was able to order the part so I should be ok.. thanks so much for your time...
    Have a nice weekend.

  • Mid-2010 MacBook Pro 15" 2.8 GHz Logic Board Part Number

    Hi all,
I have been searching for a few hours trying to find the part number for the logic board one of my MBPs.  I, unfortunately, have the Mid-2010 15" MBP with the bad GPU that results in endless kernel panics.  (I also had the first Pentium chip, the pentium 60 with the floating point error in 1995 too).  I upgraded the MBP to the 2.8 GHz, core i7 (2 core) processor when I ordered it in 2010.
Anyway, the apple tech guide exploded view does not show the part number for the 2.8 GHz.  It only shows the part numbers for the other 3 configurations - 2.4, 2.53 and 2.66.  I took the cover and discovered my my EEE code is "QAG".
I have just started trying to figure this issue out (too much time has passed and Apple will charge me to fix).  I want to try and find a replacement logic board and do it myself.   Does anyone have an idea what my part number is for the logic board?  None of the sites I searched have a 2.8 GHz board listed just 2.66.
An alternative question - In my PC building days, some motherboards were compatible with multiple speeds of main processors.  My computer model number
    MC373LL/A
is the same as the 2.66GHz model.  Does the 2.66 GHz logic board support the 2.8 core i7 too?  I don't want to screw up and order the wrong part.
    OSX Yosemite is installed.
    Thanks,
    Tony

  • Satellite Pro A120: What is a part number of mother board

    Hello,
I want to know the part number of my Toshiba Satellite Pro A120-223 systems board, I've been trying to look for it on actual board, but I can't seem to find it written anywhere.
Is there a database of part numbers anywhere online..? I've been searching but failed to find anything.
I want to know (for future references) if I'd be able to upgrade my current mobo of 533MHz FSB and really poor graphics onto a higher end system should I suddenly become completely fed up of my current one. I've been reading about the core 2 duo mobile processors, and their performances, but they're 800FSB, I can't upgrade without a total mobo replacement.
    Any thoughts..?
    Thank you.
