Need phone repair for medical use-no one will fix ongoing problem!

We have had an ongoing problem for the 12 years that we have been living in our house. We have paid our bill in full on time every month yet we cannot get the service we pay for. My husband got a Pacemaker last month. We now have a medical need for a clear phone line. The problem occurs when it rains, wind blows or there's heavy humidity. Our phone line from the pole does not come directly to our house. Every time a technician comes they ask us why the line doesn't come directly to our house. I don't know, I didn't wire the phone. There's a box on the pole that is not sealed to be weather proof. We've been told that by all of the technicians that have come over the past 12 years. We've had technicians come in vans and left saying we need a bucket truck. After numerous calls and a ridiculous amount of **bleep** apologies I have made appt after appt asking for a bucket truck. Tech doesn't have the right equipment with him...one said his feet hurt and didn't want to go up the pole! I've asked to speak to a supervisor and am always told they are busy but will call back. To this day I have not received a call back. I don't know what to do other than change to another phone company. I CANNOT BELIEVE HOW TERRIBLE THE VERIZON HOME PHONE SERVICE IS!!! I'm terribly disappointed and disgusted. I am at my wits end. Any suggestions on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Before the agent can begin assisting you, they will need to collect further information from you.Please go to your profile page for the forum, and look in the middle, right at the top where you will find an area titled "My Support Cases". Volume bitmap needs minor repair for orphaned blocks

Every once in a while I'll verify permissions using disk utility. A few weeks ago I ran the verify disk and it came up with an issue like the one below. I repaired it and now it has happened again. This is the 3rd time actually. Is my SSD having issues and need replacement or is this common?

The volume Macintosh HD was found corrupt and needs to be repaired.
Error: This disk needs to be repaired using the Recovery HD. Restart your computer, holding down the Command key and the R key until you see the Apple logo. When the OS X Utilities window appears, choose Disk Utility.

The repair is inevitable and the sooner done the less data corruption will occur. Since the previous repair, has any app crashed or have you had to force-quit one? Under normal circumstances, this is the usual cause: the app craps out and doesn't get a chance to free up disk space used on temp files and such before croaking.

Just create a new AppleID for your work.
As Allan suggested, items purchased on one iTunes account cannot be moved to the other account.
However, you can put items purchased on on account onto the other iPhone.

I am fed up with Spring and Apple passing me off to one another and neither will fix the problem. I am unable to receive a connection on my phone.

The internet goes out and I have to reset network setting each and every time. This is only a temporary solution which by the time I release the line with Spring or leave the apple store the issue is back. Sprint indicates that it is a know issue with the Iphone 5 and apple says it is a network issue as Sprint's network is not up to par with the Iphone and can not meet the expectations on the Iphone 5.
I have attached a few picture, as you can see it clearly says I have 5 bars and 3g available but I have no connections what so ever.
This issue affects all data and so I can not send or receive picture messages, use apps, or access the internet. The data goes in and out intermittently and it seems the phone chooses what I can and can't do.
For example I can watch Youtube or Vevo videos but I can not access Facebook or Instagram.
Is anyone else having this issue?

Try restarting your iPhone by holding down the on/off and the home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, double check the volume button just in case. If you still can't hear the tones go into your settings>sounds and make sure the options are on.

Sounds like it's a problem with the Acrobat settings. Did you set them to the same resolution?

I've had the exact same problem, but with 72 songs that I can't get off of my phone!
Also, I have the setting set so that my phone does not show music that has been purchase on iTunes but is not synced.

Need phone number for software return to Apple on-line store

I've decided to return Leopard. It turns out the upgrades I was expecting for iPhone did not get included, and I'm too new to Apple to go through reinstalling programs for a small benefit.
However, I dialed the phone number for the Apple Store listed on the website, and there isn't a way to reach any department that handles returns. An RMA is required to return software.
Sorry to bother everyone with this, but there is no other way to reach the Apple on-line store anyplace I can find.
Suggestions?

Thanks, but I'm hesitant to spend time on an installation that has very little I need at the moment.
I went through a horrific quarter, buying a PC running Vista after a HD crash, finally returning it and buying my first Apple and learning how to use remote connections and install and set up a VM. My first priority is to get back to work after so many weeks non-productive for admin issues.
My workaround for a ToDo list between the Mac and iPhone is silly, and if I could rid myself of that nuisance, Leopard would make the investment worthwhile. If not, Leopard can wait a few months until I've rebuilt my productivity backlog.

I installed Oracle 10.1 on Solaris 10 x86.
Whenever I try to load http://localhost:5500/em, I get a permission denied error.

A few things to check:
1. Check the installation Manual to ensure the owner(installer) of the software has all the required privilege granted to it and that the dbconsole is started by that user (instead of root).
2. Check that you are accessing the correct port. It is not always in port 5500. Check the file $ORACLE_HOME/install/portlist.ini to ensure you are entering the right port.
3. Check that you are using the correct host name. Use the name of the Server instead of localhost. Also if at install time you used the Long Servername (e.g ugoserver.ugonic.com.ng), you will have permission problem when /etc/hosts file has only the entry for the Short Servername (e.g ugoserver). So check and append the long Servername to the end of the line.
4. Remember to have a look at emca.log file for more error message details

I would like to find out if a license is required to install Adobe Digital Editions for use in a business?

I'm giving the same advice a few times on different threads, so I hope it's right.
Digital Editions recognizes most dedicated eBook readers (as in the list) directly so they show up in ADE,
but does not recognize tablets that have eBook capabilities.
This includes android tablets (probably including KoboArc), and ios tablets such as iPad.
If you have a tablet, you need to install an eBook reading app on it: I suggest Bluefire.
Make sure Bluefire app is registered to the same AdobeID as your ADE.
You can then copy epub files from your PC/Mac using a file manager and read them using Bluefire.
(Apple makes it more difficult, you need iTunes, Dropbox or similar to copy).
If the books are not DRM, there is no need to use ADE at all;
either download them direct to the tablet and read on Bluefire, or download to the PC/Mac and copy.
For DRM library books you will find an Overdrive app that allows books to be checked out, downloaded and read directly on an android/ios device.
There are also dedicated apps from various vendors.

Low Battery - Battery too low for Radio use - And Curve will not Charge - HELP!!!

Need help and lost without BB. My BB displays Low Battery. If I try and make a call I get Battery too low for Radio use. I have tried to charge the BB but nothing happens and still cannot make call or charge unit. Tried charging overnight with car charger and A/C adapter. Tried removing battery for one minute and reinstalling.
Any ideas????

When you are connected to the charger, do you see the lightning bold charging symbol displayed over or next to the battery indicator on the screen of the device? If so, then let it charge a while. A battery at less than 10% charge can take an hour or more to get just 10% higher, and then the charging will move faster.
If you are not seeing the charging indicator, then you could have a bad USB port.
If you connect it to your PC via the USB cable, does the BlackBerry appear to connect?
