Dear Friends,
Please give me the path to find out portal-addin plugins for JDevevloper 10.1.3.3.
Thanks & Regards

All the portlet wizards are available out of the box with JDeveloper 10.1.3.3, there are no add-ins required.

  • New Portal add-in for JDeveloper

    Hi,
I just installed the new Portal add-in for JDeveloper 9.0.3 which additionnally to the existing JPDK portlets supports now the new standard JSR168 portlets generation.
When trying to generate standard portlets, the wizard starts OK and all the screen are there, but when clicking on the finish button to generate the code, nothing seems to happen and no error message or anything is displayed !!
    Any suggestion ??
My operating system is W2K workstation using JDeveloper 9.0.3.2.
    Thanks,
P.S. I have followed the installation instruction (copying the required files into the jdev/lib/ext directory and the jdev/lib/patches directory).

    George,
It sounds like you haven't followed the download and install instructions for the portlet container (called 'PDK Standards Preview' on portal studio).
Although the jdev addin can build portlets suitable for **any** jsr 168 compliant container, part of the install depends on jar files in the JWSDP 1.2 distribution which you download as part of the container install.
Check the jdev addin install doc again, specifically pre-requisite number 2.
If you don't want to use the Oracle JSR 168 container, then just download JWSDP 1.2 from java.sun.com and grab the same jar files from that. Although, note that in this case the deployment instructions in the tutorial article will not apply - as they are oc4j/jdev specific. You'll have to figure out how to deploy into your chosen container yourself.
    Regards,
    Gareth

  • Portal extension plugin for JDeveloper release 10.1.3

Metalink Note:356550.1 says 'The expected time of arrival is second quarter 2006' [for portal extension plugin for JDeveloper release 10.1.3].
When will this be available for customer use? We notice it can already be downloaded from an internal Oracle website.
    Thanks,
    Jon

    Hi,
expectation is this month or early next year. The version of JDeveloper is 10.1.3.2. Maybe if you ask this question on the portal forum they have a more precise date

  • Unable to download Fusion Order Demo zip for JDeveloper 11.1.1.3

As per earlier post, the new url for download the demo is no longer working ...
Re: Fusion Order Demo zip file which works with JDeveloper 11.1.1.3.0
Is anyone following up on fixing the broken link?
I need to the download to try out the SOA part of the demo, any help / suggestion is appreciated...

    Hi Pricilla,
You can go to http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/samples/fod/index.html and you will see a "FusionOrderDemo_R1PS2.zip" link.
Or you can download it directly from the URL contained on that link, which is http://download.oracle.com/otn/java/jdeveloper/11.1.1.3.0/extensions/FusionOrderDemo_R1PS2.zip

  • Visual Source Safe AddIn for JDeveloper

    Hi All,
Is there an addin available for JDeveloper
somewhere for Visual Source Safe ? I know there's one available for JBuilder 4 ...
    Thanks.

See the following discussion group post for information on the custom addins:
    http://technet.oracle.com:89/ubb/Forum86/HTML/000174.html
You could also use Oracle's own source control system (Oracle Repository) rather than Visual Source Safe. This has a much tighter level of integration with JDeveloper. See
    http://otn.oracle.com/products/repository/demos/jdevviewlets_viewlet.html
    for a demo.

  • Portal Addin broke Java installation

    Read Hat EL Workstation:
I downloaded the portal-addin.zip and folled the install instruction. It did absolutly not work. Instead it broke my Java installation. When calling java from the command linie I get:
    libgcj-java-placeholder.sh
This script is a placeholder for the /usr/bin/java and /usr/bin/javac
master links required by jpackage.org conventions. libgcj's
rmiregistry, rmic and jar tools are now slave symlinks to these
masters, and are managed by the alternatives(8) system.
This change was necessary because the rmiregistry, rmic and jar tools
installed by previous versions of libgcj conflicted with symlinks
    installed by jpackage.org JVM packages.
When I look at the java links I see
    java -> /etc/alternatives/java
    java -> /usr/share/java/libgcj-java-placeholder.sh
but the script contains nothing but echos:
    cat /usr/share/java/libgcj-java-placeholder.sh
    #!/bin/sh
    echo "libgcj-java-placeholder.sh"
    echo
echo "This script is a placeholder for the /usr/bin/java and /usr/bin/javac"
echo "master links required by jpackage.org conventions. libgcj's"
echo "rmiregistry, rmic and jar tools are now slave symlinks to these"
echo "masters, and are managed by the alternatives(8) system."
    echo
echo "This change was necessary because the rmiregistry, rmic and jar tools"
echo "installed by previous versions of libgcj conflicted with symlinks"
echo "installed by jpackage.org JVM packages.
    Questions:
    1) How are the links supposed to point in order for my java to work?
    2) How to get the portal addin to work?
    3) How can Oracle provide me with such crap which screws up my system and wastes my time?

Are you able to answer an Oracle customer (and partner ) on this topic?
Or is this forum a dead-end??

  • Is there a suitable porlet-addin for JDeveloper 10g 10.1.3EA

Is there a suitable porlet-addin for JDeveloper 10g 10.1.3EA and if so where might I find it.
The one I found produces the following error:
Severe(2,369): No class def found for addin oracle.webdb.jdev.PortletDevelopmentAddin
    OR
Is there a workaround this problem?
    Thanks in advance.

    JDeveloper10.1.2 supports the portlet addin.
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/ias/portal/html/jdev.addin.install.guide.html
A portlet may also be created in JDeveloper 10.1.3 by adding a portlet.xml configuration file to a web application.

  • Portals Extensions for JDeveloper 10.1.3

    Hi
I am trying to install the portal extensions for Jdeveloper, I get the following error when I run Jdeveloper after the install command
    java -jar C:\portal-addin-install.jar C:\Jdeveloper
    The error is
    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: oracle/ide/addin/Addin
Severe(2,369): No class def found for addin oracle.webdb.jdev.PortletDevelopmentAddin
    Can someone help??
    Thanks,
    Savithri ([email protected])

The extension installer was for JDev 10.1.2 and 9.0.5. JDeveloper 10.1.3.2 comes with an up to date version of the portlet creation extension.

  • I need a reliable browser for portal.

I have a portal sertup at the moment with Messenging, Calendar, Instant Messenging and the Tarantella add-on installed. My problem is the browser crashes all the time. Netscape Navigator 4.78 is the version I am using. Do you have any recommendations to use for this product because without a stable browser for this product it is useless to my staff.
    Any help would be great.
         James
PS Navigator 7 is coming out does this have the staminer to support Portal 3.0 SP3, or should I wait for Portal 6.0?

The main reason you would need JVM support is for SRAP/Gateway ( for running netlets/netfile etc ..) which is what you would need for netlet and netfile support. SRAP/Gateway is still not released for portal 6.0 and will be released shortly. I believe the planned support for it would be Netscape 6.2.x browsers with java plugins. Listing of all the plugins will be available through the release notes, currently testing for it is still in progress, hence I did not list the plugins we support.
I believe Satish gave corrent information based on the release notes for Portal 6.0, now referred to as the core portal which does not contain SRAP/Gateway.

Hi Once you unzip the software you will get an html file called
    jdev.addin.install.guide.html
This gives detailed step by step instructions to set this up..
    its as simple as executing
