Need Premiere Pro compatible camera -  inexpensive

Hi,
I need to buy an inexpensive camera that is compatible with Premiere Pro and firewire.  any suggestions?

Hello Everyone.
I am using the  latest version in Creative Cloud, which i guess is CS6 on the Windows 8 OS.   I have a pc powered by an AMD A10 Processor, 16 gig ram, with an SSD/HD comibination for my drives.  I have a Focusrite Saffire Pro 40 sound interface.  I am wanting something that Premiere will capture the video real time with 2 - 4 tracks of audio.  I'm putting together videos of me playing guitar to backing tracks and i want to record the video and 2-4 tracks of audio into file simultaneously.
all i have now is an older Logitech webcam.  I'm just looking for an inexpensive camera to get the job done maybe less than $300 or so.  I thought premiere pro would only capture real time from a firewire camera.  Maybe I should use a different software, but I'm paying for Creative Cloud.  The key here (i think) is i have to have multiple tracks of audio like in Premiere Pro CS6
this is all new to me.  thanks to all who reply.

  • [URGENT HELP NEEDED] Premiere Pro CS6 failed rendering

    Hello!
I`ll try to make this quick because I need help asap. I`ve been starting to make YouTube gaming videos 3 weeks ago and my channel is growing up pretty fast. I promised I would make a video everyday but it`s been a full week since I couldn`t upload because I was busy and when I tried to render it failed.
Anyway here`s how it goes.I`ve recorded with fraps some gameplay footage with the resolution of 1360x706. One of my friends reccommanded me Adobe Premiere Pro for editing so I`m using the trial version of CS6. I create a new project and choose a format of 720 25 (cant really remember the exact name). I then import my recorded files and when I place them in the sequence it tells me the resolution is different and asks me if I want to change the sequence settings according to the files. Usually, I ignore it and when I export the Media I just tick the option: "Scale to Fill" and that usually works just fine, quality HD on YT...
But this week it has driven me crazy, I really don`t want to explain how much stress and dissapointment this has caused to me because I think I`ll end up raging...I`ll just tell you I`ve been trying for a couple of days more than 7 time to render the project(each time it takes about an hour and a bit more, so let`s just call it 7 hours wasted). The problem actually is that when I check the output file after exporting the media, the file size is ONLY 24 bytes!!! Other times the file size gets to like half of the one that should be or less, but mainly the render even so takes up a normal length of time of processing but in the end the file is only 24 bytes..Thing is I don`t encounter any error whatsoever...
I really need some urgent help!
    Thanks!

  • Premiere Pro Multi-Cam Angles on External Monitor

On Mac OS 10.10.3 with a Blackmagic Intensity Pro and Premiere Pro CC 8.2...
Is there a way to show multi-cam angles on an external monitor connected to the intensity via HDMI? Enabling "multi-cam" in my timeline only shows the angles on my computer, not the external monitor. The external monitor only shows the active angle.
The feature is available in FCP7 with the click of a button --> show multicam angles.

One editor's huge oversight is another editors yawn, of course. But for those like yourself doing much multi-cam with clients looking over their shoulder, yes, this would be a biggie. And you'll not find any disagreement about wanting it. So ... how about filing a bug/feature report about this? The teams actually do quantify these over time, and the bean counters look at these numbers as part of the logic of where they allow budget for changes/fixes to be allocated. So the more filed the better chance we'll get something like this changed.

  • Is Premiere Pro compatible with "all" Canon XA20's native recording formats (MPEG4-AVC / H.264)?

    NTSC:
    AVCHD - 1080: 59.94P / 59.94i / PF29.97 / 23.98P
    MP4 - 1080: 59.94P / 29.97P / 23.98P; 720 and 360: 29.97P / 23.98P

Yes. There should be no issues handling these files in Premiere Pro CC.

We are lucky in Australia, because of our time zone Windows 7 has been available for 10 hours now.  I searched the Microsoft Windows Compatibilty Center for results of Premiere Pro CS4 and Encore and they are NOT listed.

  • Need help finding compatible camera

have not been able to locate the model #s of cameras listed as compatible with final cut studio found on this website,
when contacting the vendors ie:sony have been told that none of the sony products are compatible,
i just want a camera that will work with my new mac
    any suggestions?

I agree with X, we need to know what budget, what is the proposed purpose - home video, serious amateur, indie movie, aiming to start in business etc etc.
    What's you're level of expertise?
Taking a wild guess, I'd say simplest workflow to get reasonable results on a low budget for non commercial hobbyist stuff - get a minidv standard def camera such as the inexpensive Sony HC-DCR96 (yes it will work with iMovie/Final cut) or the more advanced Panasonic GS500, but give more detail for a more tailored reply.

  • Premiere Pro CS4 camera compatibility

I have a Sony HDR-HC7 and I was wondering if the camera was compatible. If any one know please let me know.
    thanks

Yes you camera is compabitble: its a hdv camera, it records on mini dv.
Connect it to the firewire and you can capture directly into Premiere.
Choose a 1080i 25 (PAL) or 30 (NTSC) preset and edit away.

  • Premiere Pro CC crashes after 25% rendering, has particular issues with directional blur effect

I've only been using Premiere for a single project as my university specified we should use it, I'm not used to such a complex programme, or even video editing to be honest, so bear with me. (I'm following that guide on what information to add to questions on this forum)
I'm using Premiere Pro CC with the 7.2.1 update, that's the most recent update
    I'm on Windows 7

    6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 Build 7601
I'm not actually sure what a codec is but my source material is just one .jpg image, I put effects on it in one project then imported it to another project though

Premier crashes when it gets to the point in my sequence where I used the directional blur effect (I'm pretty sure that's when it crashes anyway), it also can't export I assume because it can't render
this is like 4 seonds of video as well
I reaaaaally need it to work soon because I have university deadlines to meet and I need Premiere Pro to finish my work
Hope someone can give some advice

I tried it without the directional blur effect and it rendered fine, for some reason it just can't deal with directional blur...

  • Smart rendering for DNxHD quicktimes not working in Premiere Pro CC

Hi if I understand things correcty PPCC should be able to smart render DNxHD codec in a quicktime wrapper back . If so this does not appear to be working. I am noticing small differences if I pull in a DNxHD quickitme clip in to Premiere and just render straight back out again no effects just cuts as DNxHD Quicktime. My sequence is set up to be the same as the codec. Although I do notice that trying to set the exact settings for the quicktime codec is not easy as it resets back to the defaults of DNxHD 220 59.94i so maybe this has something to do with it and their is no option to choose the MXF setting for my medi a as Adobe have neglected to make a DNxHD115 preset.
If you look on the YC waveform you can see the changes occuring when you compare the two side by side. This however does not happen if you render out as Opt1a MXF as it does appear to smart render and when ingested back in you see no difference with the source DNxHD clip. I also notice that when you choose the Opt1a option it has an extra check box for smart rendering.
Anyone noticed this. It all works perfectly for ProRes quickitmes so just wondering why its not working for DNxHD quicktimes.
    Simon

    Hi Simon,
Here's what I have for you:
Smart Render support for DNxHD wrapped in QuickTime was added in Premiere Pro CC
You must have Avid codecs installed
No option to check to enable smart rendering is needed, Premiere Pro always tries to smart render by default
The first thing I would check is to see if the DNxHD (QuickTime) codecs are installed or not.
    Thanks,
    Kevin

  • Which cameras are compatible with the capture feature in adobe premiere pro?

My son is making stop motion videos and wants to be able to use the capture feature on adobe premiere pro where you connect your camera via USB and can capture images on your computer through your camera. I'm looking into buying him a camera and am trying to find a list of digital cameras that are compatible with this feature, he has a small fuji camera now that will not let him do so.

What the other users have said is correct. Premiere captures through FireWire or through SDI/HDMI via a 3rd party solution.
For your situation I would say the best bet is to connect you camera to your computer via USB or use a card reader and copy the entire directory to your hard drive and ingest into Premiere via Media Browser.
If you Google 'how to make stop motion in premiere pro' there are tons of great tutorials.

  • HD camera compatible with Premiere Pro CS3?

What is the cheapest high definition camera compatible with PPCS3? Or, best deal for the money without spending a fortune? If not a particular brand/model, what output formats can I look for and be sure of native compatibility? I also would prefer a camera that records to an internal hard drive and/or flash card.
Thank you very, very much in advance!

    Attention Ayn Randian,
Getting camera advice from the user forum may prove a contentious issue.  I don't doubt you'll get the opinions of a couple of different users who have very differing views.  I'd suggest you call Adobe Tech Help or look for it in the 'Knowledgebase" where you can find a list of cameras Adobe 'supports' with CS3.  Go with what Adobe states it supports, not the regards of users on this forum.  Take for example the other post listed here.  HDV is definitely a good choice when looking into camera options.  However not just 'Any hdv camera will do', and any user that infers otherwise is not assisting you.  Going out and buying even a good hdv camera may leave you with a unit that isn't supported by Adobe and hence useless.  As previously indicated Adobe supply's a list of compatible cameras, use it.  Otherwise I suggest you do not purchase a camera unless you know for sure whether it will work with Adobe CS3.
