Need procedure to change ip address on private interconnect in 11.2.0.3

Could someone please send me the procedure to change the ip address of the private interconnect in 11gr2 rac (11.2.0.3)
The interconnect has been configured using the default HAIP resource during installation of a 2 node cluster on the aix 6.1 platform. I have searched metalink but cannot find a doc with the procedure to make the ip address change.
The sys admins gave us an ip address on the wrong subnet so now we have to change the ip address of the en1 interface.
If anyone has steps in terms of shutting down the clusterware and correct order to make changes this would be very much appreciated.
Thanks.

Thanks, I seen this one also but I was just hoping to see some official documentation from oracle on this topic. I searched metalink and there is a doc id called
"Grid infrastructure everything you need to know" but it does not speak to this configuration change or even how to disable the clusterware in the event that you need to perform maintenance and do not want the clusterware to automatically come online.
Although I love google too... but If there are any official documentation on this topic I would really appreciate to know where it can be found?
Thanks.

  • Best/safest procedure to change IP addresses of complete GroupWisesystem

We are running NetWare 6.5 and GroupWise 7 in a 24/7 environment. All of our internal IP addresses are changing. We have:
-One server with primary domain and post office. Under this domain, another server runs two POA's and a third server is running only a POA
-Then we have one server with secondary domain and post office. Under this secondary domain, there are two servers running only a POA each.
    -One server running GWIA
-One server running the WebAccess agent and another server running the WebAccess application.
Is there an order of succession that should be followed to safely change these IP Addresses?
Are there things "not to do?"
Is there - maybe - a great document that outlines such a process?
Thanks in advance for any assistance!

There isn't...because wise folks use dns host names (even fake ones, set
in the hosts files) to avoid this issue :)
The POAs and GWIAS will mostly just work unless you specifically bound
them to an ip address (which you don't say).
What will require trickiness is the MTP setting for the POA, which is
bound to a specific ip. It will have to change, as will the MTAs. Then
down everything and do a top down rebuild to force it through.

  • Changing email address within Enterprise

We will be changing our email address from fsc.edu to fitchburgstate.edu.
I have been told I need to manually change this address  for all scheduled reports on the Enterprise.
Is there an easier way to do this instead of going into each report?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
You can just explain the requirement to your Web Admin. If possible, he would do for you.
If you need quick response, please post the same question in Potal Management Community.

  • RAC 11R2 Private Interconnect Issue

    Friends
We had setup our Oracle Clusterware on Solaris Sparc with a version 11.2.0.3 PSU 2 patch sets. Some changes happen at the OS level and the private Interconnect IPs were picked wrong by our Oracle Clusterware registry.
The clusterware is down. We are not able to bring up the clusterware. There will be a need to change the private IP configuration at the Oracle Clusterware level and now the clusterware is down.
Is there any way we can change the configuration in private Interconnect ?
Whenever we are trying to do a change. Getting the error message "PRIF-10: failed to initialize the cluster registry"
    $ oifcfg setif -global vnet2/10.131.239.0:cluster_interconnect
PRIF-10: failed to initialize the cluster registry
    Thank You !

We are not able to bring up the clusterware. Some changes happen at the OS level and the private Interconnect IPsWhy you clusterware is not starting?...please post alertlog and crsd.log of cluster (only relevant info).
If the error on crsd.log is : PROC-44: Error in network address and interface operations Network address and interface operations error
This errors indicate a mismatch between OS setting (oifcfg iflist) and gpnp profile setting profile.xml.
You will restore the OS network configuration back to the original status, start Oracle Clusterware. Then try make the changes again.

Can I change the public hostname in my Oracle Database 10g Cluster using Oracle Clusterware?
Hostname changes are not supported in Oracle Clusterware (CRS), unless you want to perform a deletenode followed by a new addnode operation.
The hostname is used to store among other things the flag files and Oracle Clusterware stack will not start if hostname is changed.
    Changing the Private Interconnect
o Change of the IP Address: change the IP address in the hosts file and/or DNS and make sure that ASM and the database also use the same interconnect
o Change of the private node name used by Oracle Clusterware: requires a reinstall of Oracle Clusterware
So, Public or Private hostnames can only be changed by removing/adding nodes, or reinstalling Oracle Clusterware. VIP Hostnames can be changed
But you can read this idea (reinstall CRS)

  • Help, need to change IP address on host database for Portal

    Hi folks,
Rather urgent assistance (as usual) needed. I have an installation working correctly on a pair of Win2k machines, one as the 9i database, one as the 9iAS/Portal. The app server has 2 NIC cards, one with public IP address (which is ok), one on the LAN. I need to reconfigure the LAN addresses on both the machines. Initial Portal install done without DNS, i.e. actual server/host addresses entered in the configuration.
I have tried changing all of the TNS/Listner settings and the NIC card IP addresses and restarting the machines. The likes of SQLPlus work ok, with the TNS connect name allowing over the LAN access into the database with the new LAN addresses. I cannot seem to get the 9iAS/Portal to find the repository with the new addresses.
Can someone help please? I can't find the answer in any documentation or other postings.
    Thanks in advance
    Rob

There are other modes of operation for the plasst as well. I am listing them below but the formatting will make it difficult to read. If you like I can email it to you.
    Bill G...
Configuring Portal when the HTTP server host name of the Infrastructure is changed
Run the following from the $ORACLE_HOME/assistants/opca dir
ptlasst.bat -mode SSOPARTNERCONFIG -i typical -sdad portal -host myApache.domain.com -port 7777 -silent -verbose
    NOTE:
    (1) This command would create a new Portal partner application in the SSO to reflect the changes of the Infrastructure. Before running this command please ensure to configure the SSO with the correct hostname by running the ssocfg.bat script located in the Infrastructure install (<infra_home>\sso\bin).
The value for -host parameter will be the IP address of the infrastructure server and -port will be the port where the infrastructure http server is running on.
Configuring Portal when the HTTP server host name of the Middle tier is changed
    ptlasst.bat -mode MIDTIER -i typical -host myApache.domain.com -port 7777 -ldap_h myOID.domain.com -ldap_p 389 -ldap_w welcome -pwd secret123 -portal_only -oh /home/oracle -chost myHostname.domain.com -cport_i 8001 -cport_a 8000 -wc_i_pwd invalidator -mc false -mi true -silent -verbose
    NOTE :
    (1) The -host value should match the serverName value of the httpd.conf
    (2) The -chost should be updated with the correct webcache hostname. In a default iAS midtier install the -host is same as the -chost.
The value for -host parameter will be the IP address of the midtier(portal) server and -port will be the port where the portal is running on.
    Parameter Description Default Value Mandatory
    -i install_type Installation Type

  • What is the procedure to change the hostname and IP address of iAS?

    Dear all,
I would like to change hostname and ip address of iAS, is it just only
change the kregedit or i need to change some config file?
    Thank you for your help!

    Hi,
i am not sure what do you mean by changing ip address and machine name.
Is the IP address and machine name of the installation machine changed?
Then you can change the ip address and machine name from kregedit. If
you want to run it from some other machine, you wont be able to do it.

  • My iCloud address on the iPad needs to be changed. If I press "delete account" it tells me I will lose all the content including pictures. How can I change it? I see other people have had the same problem

I have had to change my e mail address but I cannot work out how to amend it on my iCloud account. If I press "delete account" the box appears telling me that I will lose all content including photos if I continue. The box asking for a password keeps appearing but I just press cancel and continue.
I have not attempted to upgrade to iOS 7 until this problem is sorted. Can anyone help please?

If you mean that you created a new icloud account using a new email address as the primary address, then when changing to that account on a device, all data maintained by the old account will be deleted.  I was not aware that photos are included.  But as for photos, ALWAYS sync them to a computer for archiving, never rely on icloud as your only backup.
If you want to keep the contacts, etc. data from the old account, then go to Settings>icloud and turn off the services, one at a time.  When doing so, you are given the choice to keep the data local or delete from the device.  Later, when doing Delete Account and logging into the new account, your data will sync up to it.
If, on the other hand, your changed email address is just an alias in the existig icloud account, then there's no reason to delete the account as the alias is just another link to the same account.

  • How can I change the address included. In my apple ID without needing credit card details?

I incorrectly entered my address information when creating me apple ID. I went to change it in my settings but it requires me to enter credit card information, which I do not have. So how ca I change the address?

iTunes Store - click 'Account' in the list at right and log in. Then click 'edit' next to your address. This will take you to Payment Details. You should be able to edit the address there without changing the credit card - is this where you are having a problem?
Alternatively you can go to http://appleid.apple.com - click 'Manage Your Apple ID' and log in with the ID in question. Click 'Addresses' in the list at left and you can edit the address.

You may not have to change your Private IPs (let's say 10.10.10.x) because these are your interconnect addresses and are "private" to the RAC nodes...
