  • I need the lens profile for nikon 28 - 70

By the way who the heck wants to chat with some guy in a foreign that is no help ? The is your adobe chat help LOL
I need the lens profile for nikon 28 - 70 where to down load ????

Download and install Adobe Lens Profile Downloader.
With this program you can download a lens profile for 28-70mm f/2.8 for DX or FX format, raw only. Also available 28-70mm f/3.5-4.5 for DX, raw only.

  • Lens profile for Nikon 18-105 1:3.5-5.6 urgently needed

Does anyone have lens profile for Nikon 18-105 1:3.5-5.6. Currently I don't have that lens, so I'm unable to create a profile on my own. Any help will be appreciated.

Nope, the settings has config info.  The downloaded profiles for ACR6.1 are located at the first path, and are the same as for CS5 lens correction.  I followed this process for both my 16-85VR and 55-200VR profiles, later deleted them, and then re-downloaded in an attempt to figure out the vignetting problem.  I did not see a 18-105 profile listed.

I'm looking for a lens profile for Nikon's AF Nikkor 24-50mm 1:3.3-4.5  The profile doesn't appear to be in Lightroom, does anyone have a suggestion of either how to get 1 included or a workaround.
Yes, it's an old lens, but a beautiful one.
    With thanks.

Yay that's great news ... and thanks for such a speedy reply.
Didn't know about the Adobe Lens Profile Downloader ... so have just downloaded it for Mac and found the lens profile.
Appreciate your help ... it'll hopefully be great for correcting the distorion i need.

  • Is there a lens correction profile for Nikon D3100 18-55mm?

Is there a lens correction profile for Nikon D3100 18-55mm? I so don't know what I'm doing

The only profile I could see is a profile for the 18 - 55 mm for the D300.
As far as I know the sensor size is identical for the D3100 and D300, so you can use this this profile.
If the profile is not installed in the list of your Lr, you have to download it. In order to download it you have to download and install the Adobe lens profile installer first.
And before you can install the lens profile downloader, you need to download and install Adobe Air.
These two programs are for free and can be downloaded from Adobe's website.
Nothing is ever easy, is it?

  • Lens profiles for Nikon lenses

    Hello,
Does anyone know a site where users have posted lens profiles that they have made for the Nikon lenses which are NOT included in the Photoshop CS 5 software?
I have a Nikon 17-55mm f/2.8 lens that needs correction when shooting at or near 17mm - and I hate to have to make my own profile if someone has already done it.  I have used the profile supplied by Adobe for my Nikon 10.5mm fisheye lens - and it is spectacular!
Is there a master site where users have posted lens profiles for Nikon lenses?
    Dick

Not yet, Dick. But please stay tuned ... there's something cookin' ...

Has anybody done a lens profile for then Lens Profile for Nikon AF VR_Nikkor 80-400 f4.5-5.6 D Lens?

There is a repository, it's accessible through CS5's lens correction plugin, and there doesn't appear to be one for this lens at that spot at the moment.

  • Profiles for Nikon manual focus lenses

I can't seem to find any profile for Nikon manual focus lenses.  Are those impossible to make with the profile creator?

Here are some of the ones:
    400/f3.5 Ais
    35/f2 Ais
    50/f1.4 Ais
    85/f1.4
    85/f2
    75-150/f3.5
    50-135/f3.5
I think the zooms would be difficult unless you record what focal length your pictures were taken at.

  • Using Lens profiles for Nikon D800 in Lightroom 3.6

When I use Lightroom 3.6 with pictures from Nikon D800, the lens profile for the Mikro Nikor 60 mm lens is not in the list of coice. However, when the picture is from a Nikon D5000, the same lens appears in the list. So, a lens profile exists, but is not open for pictures from the D800. How can I solve this problem? The same is true for the 18-200 mm lens, which however is not suited for the D800 due to heavy vignetting at wide angle, and with the 70-300 mm, which gives good results.

The D5000 is a crop sensor. The D800 is a Full-Frame sensor.  The Profile for D5000 cannot be "scaled" for a full-frame sensor: thus, it cannot be used.
Every lens has multipe profiles: 1 for Raw and 1 for Jpeg in each sensor size.  If one has not been created for your particular lens, camera a file format you have three options.
1: Download the Adobe Lens Profile tool from Adobe Labs and create on yourself. It isn't hard but it is time consuming.
2: Part of the Adobe Lens Profile tool is a Lens Profile Downloader where you can gain access to a community of people who have shared their lens profiles.
3: Wait for Adobe to include it in a dot release of Lightroom.
I checked and I did see the profile for your 60MM available via the downloader.

  • Need Profile for Lens Correction Filter

I have a Nikon D5000. How do I get the correct lens profile so I can use it in the Lens Correction filter?

Profiles are not specific to a camera body, they are specific to a lens model and a sensor size (i.e. a profile for one model of lens will work on all the DX crop-sensor Nikon cameras).

  • I cannot find a profile for Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR

Hi, I have tried to download a profile for my D3100 kit lens - Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR but cannot find it in the Adobe Lens Profile downloader.
Adobe says that it is supported (two years ago: see it at this link from October 2010    http://blogs.adobe.com/lightroomjournal/2010/10  )
Since it is listed many places as being supported, it is frustrating that I cannot find it in the Adobe Lens Profile downloader.
Am I doing something wrong? Or can I download that profile without using the downloader.  Can I use the lens profile that is shown with a different camera.  I see similar lenses under D300 and D90 in the folder with about forty NIKON lens profiles (but only two for the D3100). However, under Lens Correction when I tick Nikon as model then I only see about seven lenses in the drop down list.  How can I see the full contents of the folder?
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks
PS.  I was going to ask where the profiles are stored but luckily I have found them after a search.

I too would like to see this lens profile added to the list in Lightroom, in addition to the Nikon DX AF-S DX NIKKOR 55-300mm f/4.5-5.6G ED VR. I've found a similar version of the 18-55mm under the D40, but not for the D3200, and I haven't been able to find any profile matching the 55-300; only 55-200.

  • Profile for Nikon AFS 17-35 f/2.8?

Is there a profile available for Nikon AFS 17-35 f/2.8?  I cannot find it.

You're welcome for the info. and profile.
Yes, you should back the lens profile from the user contributed database, up to your local machine (your own hard drive) so you will not have to search for it each time.
WIthin Photoshop CS5, in the Lens Profile menu(that you have reached by choosing "Filter" on the top menu, then "Lens Correction"), you will see the middle menu on the right which states "Lens Profiles". Immediately to the right of this title is a small icon, that looks like a miniature triangle with lines beside it. Click it (left click). Choose "Save Online Profile locally". The profile is automatically saved to this location(I use WIndows XP and it varies according to your operating system):
    C:\Documents and Settings\HP Owner\Application data\Adobe\Camera Raw\Lens Profiles\1.0
    Downloaded
The file is not named well, I tried this with the D3S Profile and it is named with mixed up letters about 50 letters long. I would rename the file(right click the file and choose rename) to something more obvious, like "Nikon 17-35mm f2.8 AFS RAW" or such, and leave the extension as it is, which is .lcp.
Thus the lens profile is saved to your hard disk and Adobe should find it and show the new name if you renamed it,when you invoke the Lens Profile command and you have an image (Raw) shot with that lens and the exif data shows that lens to be the one taking the image.

  • CS3 and camera raw for Nikon D5000

I have dowloded the 4.6 plug in (installed automaticallywith updater). I still can not open my raw images
in cs3.  Is the Nikon D5000 only supported by cs4?

Camera RAW support is only added to whatever version of Photoshop is current at the time the camera is released which would have been CS4 for your newish camera.
CS5 is just around the corner (next 2-3 months) as is Lightroom 3, which will both have the ACR 6 color engine so if you can wait, that would be the version to upgrade to.
In the mean time, you can use the DNG Converter 5.6 to convert your RAWs to DNG (saving the original RAW somewhere in case something happens) and use whatever version of ACR you want.   The DNG Converter will give you a choice of what version of ACR to be backwards compatible with.

  • Seeking Profile for Nikon AF-S 10-24mm 3.5-4 5G ED for LR3

The Lens Correction Profile addition to LR 3.2 does not include a profile for my Nikon AF-S 10-24mm 3.5-4.5 G ED lens.  For some reason this lens is left out of the long list, including all 7 of my other Nikon lens, that are included.
Any recommendations on for a custom settings to create the correct profile for this particular lens?

Thanks - I have Photoshop CS5 as well as LR3.  So now at least I know I can Edit In Photoshop from LR and add the Lens Profile for my 10-24mm lens.  However, I have an iMac and wasn't able to locate the file CS5 used from the search online feature in Filter Lens Correction in order to move it over to LR3.
So if anyone can help further - the good news is the CS5 profile helps with some of the distortion at 10mm, but I'd still prefer to avoid the extra step and do it in LR3.  This is a pretty handy lens, there is very little distortion if any at 12mm, but it's pretty noticeable at 10mm without the help of the filter correction.

  • RAW support for Nikon D5000

I just got a Nikon D5000 but PSE 7.0 cannot load the RAW images.
I saw that ACR 5.4 with D5000 support is now available but it does not have the install scripts for PSE 7.
Has anyone been able to manually install the data files for the D5000?

    Thanks.
I went through the ACR 5.4 zip file and found the correct file (name=1003, size = 10.8 mb). copied that into the PSE 7.0 directory C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 7.0\Plug-Ins\File Formats and renamed it Camera Raw.8bi
PSE 7.0 now works perfectly with my Nikon D5000 raw files.
