Need proof of purchase don't have receipt!

Hello back in october i bought a pair of Sony MDR-10RBT's headphones but i need the proof of purchase to get my warranty but i dont have the receipt. I dont entirely remember all the details i gave for the purchase but i know the location and i can tell whatever you need. Also i dont have any BestBuy memberships to help with this.

GTX 470 Twin Frozr II fan bearing failing, need to RMA but don't have receipt

Hi all, I live in the UK and one of the fans in my GTX470 TFII has started to make an annoying grinding sound which comes and goes. Seems like a dodgy bearing, apparently this is common with Twin Frozr cards. Can't seem to find a replacement fan online anywhere (model is Power Logic PLD08010S12HH I think).
Anyway so it looks like I have to RMA the card. However apparently the RMA has to be done through the reseller as I'm in the UK. This is a problem as I bought this over a year ago and don't have any receipt for it, I can't even remember where I bought it from. How would I go about RMAing this card?

over a year probably means re-teller warranty is expired so it would need to go to straight to msi.
the shop you got it from would have your details just give them name address - last 4 digits of credit card and they'll be able to find you.

My Ipod needs hardware repair, but don't have proof-of-purchase

Hi guys, I'm new over here. I don't know if I'm even posting in the right place, or if these forums are here for this kinds of questions. Sorry If I'm using them the wrong way...
The thing is that I'm having some troubles with my Ipod Touch. I first realized that there was something wrong with it when I tried plugging to a car adapter. It kind of sounded over the radio, but with very low volume, lots of noise, and without announcing that it was charging.
Then, I went to my computer, plugged it in, and notice that it wasn't getting any charge neither, nor wasn't being recognized by Itunes nor the typical USB discovery. Then I went to my nearest Apple Store and the guy told me that he needed a proof-of-purchase receipt to validate the warranty and repair the Ipod, and that if I didn't have one, I'd have to pay for the repair, and that for what it looks, I'm better off buying a new Ipod.
The thing is that my mom bought my Ipod last November, in the Lenox Square Apple Store in Atlanta, and she then came to Venezuela and lost the receipt (maybe she forgot she needed it, or nobody told her about the warranty so she threw it away).
My question is this basically: what can I do? I've thought of contacting the Lenox Square Store (preferable via email) to explain them what happened, so that maybe they could help me get something that would work as a proof-of-purchase, but there're no email addresses easily visible and I don't wanna waste a Long distance call just to get bummed out.
What do you guys suggest?

I did! And according to the link you gave, it says that my Ipod is Registered, Expired for Telephone Technical Support, and Active for Repairs and Service Coverage, with an estimated expiration date of November 26, 2010, which seems about right--that's the week my mom came back from her trip!
So I'm a little bit more hopeful now, but still a little worrisome: the guy at the Apple Store checked the Serial Number using the bar code beneath the Ipod Box and said, "I need proof-of-purchase 'cause according to the system, this Ipod left a Store on May 2009, so it's ALMOST out of warranty, and Apple will require them that I give them a copy of the receipt."
Still. I'm thinking of printing that screenshot and showing it to him.

i just bought a used i phone 6 64G from eBay. It is in a very good condition almost new almost a month or two old . Its is also under Apple warranty which can be determined from their website as well. The seller has not given me any proof of purchase as he has already mentioned that i don't need it anyway cz the warranty limit can be confirmed from their website .
my question is simple .
do i need the original proof of purchase to claim a warranty repair ? cz this line on apples website really bothers me
"A validated purchase date lets Apple quickly find your product and provide the help you need "and that i don't have it .. just need to confirm if all is alright now a bit late but for the info it is .. then may be i can ask this guy for the original receipt ?

but to answer your questions ..
1-the eBay gives the proof of those purchases which are from eBay .The original receipt of the new phone when it was first sold, i was asking for that because i thought that the receipt from ebay wont work here despite i have it , the first buyer should have given it to me but told me that i dont need it and he has lost that anyway .
2 used here means that i m the second owner and it was sold to me under warranty (which extends for 9 months more) from another user ..usually people who sell devices give the original proof of purchase but this time i wasnt given .
so i just wanted to confirm if i need to show the first receipt from the apple store to prove that my device is under warranty or the date that shows from their database alone is enough to claim warranty.
i hope you understand what i meant .. its for my own confirmation and to clear my doubt ..

yes my phone has a warrenty till next september the 8th 2015 but 1 year is not enough hence why i got the applecare to extend it to 2016

Imei - need proof of purchase from Apple

I have an iPhone 3GS which I lost and it was then found again, but because it was lost O2 put a block on the imei number. I have been ask to supply proof of purchase so I can get it unlocked, but the imei is different because I had a problem with my phone and it was replaced at the Apple Store. SO O2 say there is nothing they can do, so is it possible to get a 'proof of purchase/ownership' from Apple?

I bought my ipad in summer 2012 and left it on a train late last month and I'm now in the process of making an insurnace claim. I paid in cash and dumped the receipt as the ipad went out of warranty so have no proof of purchase
My question is - can Apply confirm to my insurer that I did purchase and own the said ipad.

How to find the serial number of your Apple hardware product

Boot Camp Version 1.3b expired.. need to update but don't have windows.

So let me run you through what I did so far.
I got a version of Boot Camp 1.3 beta. I successfully installed it and began to go through the steps to set up windows. I skipped the burning the windows CD option and went straight to the partitioning. I created a 20gig partition named "Bootcamp."
I then realized I needed to burn the windows CD from Boot Camp in order to install it. So I quit the Boot Camp Assistant Application. The option to burn the windows CD was no longer available so I scrapped the Boot Camp Assistant, re-downloaded the 1.3 beta version and installed it.
Still no opportunity to burn the windows drivers CD disc. So I quit the assistant once again. I attempted to re-open the Boot Camp Assistant and I got an error message telling me it expired. So I set the date back on my clock to a date before the beta version expired (prior to Sept. 30, 2007).
Then, I got this error message:
This version of Boot Camp Assistant is not supported in Mac OS X v10.5. Use Boot Camp Assistant 2.0, located in /Applications/Utilities/.
And that's where I am right now. I still have to have the date set back to before Sept. 30th, 2007 to get to the error message above or else it tells me the version is expired.
So I've determined that I need to update Boot Camp to version 2.0 or higher, except I don't have windows installed on my computer yet. The mac support page tells me that I have to open windows and then install the updates to the latest version of boot camp... which I obviously can't do because I haven't installed windows yet.
So I'm stuck with a partitioned drive and I cannot use the Boot Camp Assistant. I need the assistant to burn the windows install CD that I need..
I'm in quite a pickle. Any help would be appreciated.. thank you.

I don't have the Leopard disc because a man updated it for me in the mac store when I brought my laptop in for repairs.
You need to get that disk to use Boot Camp. Mac OS X 10.4 disks don't contain the drivers.
So, I have this Mac OSX install disc.. do I just insert it? And then what? How do I go about installing windows after that? I'm a little confused about how to get to the drivers and what to do I'm just not sure.
Once you've partitioned the drive and installed Windows, start up the computer into Windows and insert the disk. The installer should automatically start.

Don't have receipt, but iPad isn't 1 year old - Can anything be done?

My iPad has developed a fault in its sleep/reset button. Eg - it acts like the button is being pressed, when it isn't. I'd like to bring it in for a fix, but they tell me the iPad is no longer covered. It was a birthday present in January (2011), and I don't have any sort of receipt.
Is there anything that can be done? Could a print out of the credit card transaction be used in lieu of a actual receipt? Or anything else?
I'd really like to get this fixed, but I was given the 2nd hand impression that it coud end up being very pricey.

It may show up as 'equipment' but I bet they still had to enter the serial number of hte iPad. Try verizon's site, 'my verizon' and see if it shows what piece of equipment you have, when the contract started, etc.
I'd think they'd have to register the serial number or something, Iwould think it'd all be part of activating the device.

I need a WM that don't have hotkeys

Hello, I usually play games that need a lot of Essential Hotkeys like "Esc", "ALT+Click", and a lot of combinations. But my WM have all these keys binded, and I can't play well.
I can Execute a graphical application (like a Warcraft III) without any WM? Or there is a WM that don't have any hotkey binded (In KDE I have removed all hotkeys and works well, except "Esc" Key, and I need it fully for the game...

If you start X with startx, you can just change your xinitrc to exec xterm instead of your window manager. From there you can start whatever games you want to play. This has the additional benefit of freeing up more RAM.
Thought you can just start the game you want directly instead of starting a term.
Well you could run different games this way without having to edit your .xinitrc file

I need proof of purchase of my original iPhone

So I had an iPhone 5 bought for me back in 2012 when it was released and I immediately purchased Protect My Bubble insurance for it. Soon or later the camera started playing up so I took it to Apple and they replaced the entire phone within warranty. Now my second phone has broken and it's out of warranty, therefore I need to claim off of my insurance to get it replaced. However they want proof of purchase, in order to get this I need the IMEI number of my original iPhone as well as proof of replacement. Is this something Apple would be able to provide me?

Repair (5S) Needs Proof of Purchase?

Looking for a quick response, I hope, to what I hope is a simple question.
I am trying to set up an iPhone 5S for repair.
Normally, when we submit phones for repair (company, not consumer), we are not prompted for a proof of purchase after the request is entered.
In this case, we are.
Also, the system is showing that it's an iPhone 5 when it's a 5S - could this be causing havoc of some kind?
Any insight would be appreciated since we've never had this come up before and I can't seem to find anything that speaks to it.

I am trying to get my free update and I cannot figure out how to get proof of purchase!

I tried the program and after giving the date and selecting Apple Online Store in the dropdown box it did not even ask for a serial number on the second page, just confirmation information for the sale. Make sure you enter this information exactly as it appears on your receipt and it should confirm from that.
