Need Query to Fetch Father & GrandFather Name?
Dear All,
I am using following table to fetch First_Name & Last_Name but not able to find out information for Father & GrandFather name.
per_all_people_f
Which table having Father & GrandFather fields information?
Thanks,
M K
select
papf.first_name, papf.per_information1 father_name,
papf.per_information2 grandfather_name, papf.last_name family_name
from per_all_people_f papf
for arabic names, at least in saudi legislation you can use this function:
/* get employee name in arabic */
FUNCTION decode_arabic_name(
p_person_id in number,
p_effective_date in date default sysdate
) return varchar2
is
v_arabic_name varchar2(5000);
begin
select
(decode((nvl(paf.per_information3,'') || ' '),' ','',paf.per_information3 || ' ')
|| decode((nvl(paf.per_information4,'') || ' '),' ','',paf.per_information4 || ' ')
|| decode((nvl(paf.per_information5,'') || ' '),' ','',paf.per_information5 || ' ')
|| decode((nvl(paf.per_information6,'') || ' '),' ','',paf.per_information6 || ' '))
into v_arabic_name
from per_all_people_f paf
where paf.person_id = p_person_id
and p_effective_date between paf.effective_start_date and paf.effective_end_date;
return v_arabic_name;
exception
when no_data_found then
return '';
when others then
return '';
end decode_arabic_name;

Need query to fetch single record
I am having table t1 with below data
c1 c2
1 10
2 10
when I am using below query
select max(c2) from t1 group by c1
I am geeting both the records.
How can i fetch only record (any one) ?Hi,
Here's one way
WITH got_r_num AS
SELECT c1, c2
, ROW_NUMBER () OVER (ORDER BY c2 DESC) AS r_num
FROM t1
SELECT c1, c2
FROM got_r_num
WHERE r_num = 1
The row displayed will be the one with the highest c2 value (or one of those rows, if there happens to be a tie.)
This is called a Top-N Query, because it picks N items (N=1 in this case) from the top of an ordered list.
Starting in Oracle 12.1, you can also use
SELECT c1, c2
FROM t1
ORDER BY c2 DESC
FETCH FIRST 1 ROW ONLY -
Need Query to fetch the users related to a particular process.
Using FDI DB, Is there a way to fetch the # of users related to a particular process.
For example,
If all the roles within a PROCESSP starts with 'ABCXXXXXXXXX',
I am using SELECT DISTINCT(FUEGO_ID) FROM FUEGO_PART_ASSIGROLE WHERE FUEGO_ASSIGROLE LIKE 'ABC%' to get the count of the participants.
Is it the correct way? -

LEE1212I have more than 500 tables in my database.

I need a query to list all table names and
'insert_date' column's content.What do you mean by "column's content". A table can have many rows. Do you want to display all the distinct value for these columns?
Below is the query to get the tables which has columns insert_Date and update_date
select table_name
from user_tab_columns
where column_name ='INSERT_DATE'
or column_name ='UPDATE_DATE'
/You can write a PL/SQL block to retrive the distinct values of INSERT_DATE for these tables
declare
TYPE ref_cur IS REF CURSOR;
insert_date_cur ref_cur;
lv_insert_date DATE;
cursor tables_list IS
select table_name
from user_tab_columns
where column_name ='INSERT_DATE';
begin
for cur_tables in tables_list
loop
OPEN insert_date_cur for 'SELECT DISTINCT insert_date from '||cur_tables.table_name;
DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE(cur_tables.table_name);
DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE('--------------------------------');
LOOP
FETCH insert_date_cur into lv_insert_date;
EXIT WHEN insert_date_cur%NOTFOUND;
DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE(lv_insert_date);
END LOOP;
CLOSE insert_date_cur;
end loop;
end;I haven't tested this code. There might be some errors. Just posted something to start with for you. -

Query help - Fetch employees working on two consecutive weekends(SAT/SUN)
Hello Gurus,
I have the following requirement and i need your help on this.
We have a table with all employees effort logged in for the days they have worked. a sample data is given below
TD_date Emp_id Effort Archive_month
2-Mar-13 123 8 Mar-13
9-Mar-13 123 8 Mar-13
2-Mar-13 213 4 Mar-13
3-Mar-13 213 4 Mar-13
24-Mar-13 213 8 Mar-13
9-Mar-13 312 4 Mar-13
10-Mar-13 312 4 Mar-13
16-Mar-13 312 8 Mar-13
In the above sample data, we have employee 123 who worked on consecutive SATURDAY and 312 who worked on consecutive weekends (9th, 10th and 16th March) but the employee 213 worked on 1st weekend and 4th weekend of the month(Archive_month). So the output should return the employees who worked on two consecutive weekends as below.
Emp_id
123
312
I have written a query to fetch all employees who worked only on a SAT or SUN which is given below, but i am not able to return the employees who worked on consecutive weekends and i need your help.
select emp_id, count(*)
from timesheet_archive
where archive_month = '03/2013'
and trim(to_char(td_date,'DAY')) in ('SATURDAY','SUNDAY')
group by emp_id having count(*) > 1
order by td_date desc
Please help me with an approach in SQL or PL/SQL to generate a report of employees who worked on two consecutive weekends.
Thanks,

Need query to find out whether exactly 2 columns are used in any index ?
Suppose i have two columns ID and Status (or any number of columns ) belongs to table customer...
Now I want to create below index
Ex. create index test1 on customer (ID , Status )
But before creating this index i want to check that whether there is already index on these 2 columns ? May be by other name ?
Need query for this.
Plz help.Hi Shubhangi,
Your requirement is very difficult to fulfill , i have made an attempt to replicate your reqrmnt & write a query wherein you need to compromise on few things , let us see if it works for you
Supply table_name/owner & Number of column on which you want to find indexes
e.g.
select distinct INDEX_NAME,column_name
from dba_ind_columns
where index_name in (select distinct index_name
from dba_ind_columns
where table_name='&table_name'
and table_owner='&owner'
having count(column_name)=&column_count group by index_name);
Enter value for table_name: ADDRESS
Enter value for owner: ASAP
Enter value for column_count: 2
INDEX_NAME COLUMN_NAME
FKIDX_AD__SF_ST_FO SF_STRUC_FORMAT_NM
FKIDX_AD__SF_ST_FO SF_TYPE_NM
SQL> /
Enter value for table_name: ADDRESS
Enter value for owner: ASAP
Enter value for column_count: 3
INDEX_NAME COLUMN_NAME
FKIDX_AD__SF_ST_FO_1 POSTAL_CD
FKIDX_AD__SF_ST_FO_1 SF_STRUC_FORMAT_NM
FKIDX_AD__SF_ST_FO_1 SF_TYPE_NM

Fetching master item name and its description in oracle apps .
Hi all,
I have to fetch master item name,its description,ordered item name,its description for a sales order .
Do any one know the table names and link or Query.
Please help.I assume ordered_item_description is same as item description (in 11i)
Yes - there could be a relationship between customer item and your inventory item.
You can set it up by going to Inventory > Items > Customer Items > Customer Item Cross References
Hope this helps,

Query Builder List of Report Names & their corresponding Folder Names
HI there,
I have in excess of 6000 reports deployed in my Crystal system.
I need to pull 2 sets of data:
1. I need a list of all report names & their corresponding folder names
2. I need a list of all report names & their corresponding folder names where:
a) The destination for the schedule is set to Email
b) The 'to" field contains any email addresses with the value @fcl.internal in them
Grateful for any assistance you can provide.
Many thanks....CorinneThis is a challenge that will require multiple queries or an application using the the SDK.
To get the folder where a report is located, you'll need to query CI_INFOOBJECTS where SI_ID = the PARENT_ID value in the report. To get the entire path, you'll have to "walk" up the PARENT_ID values until the value is 0, which is the root folder.
I'm not sure whether you can get to the SchedulingInfo properties in the report to filter based on your second requirement - I'm working on an application to pull this information in my "copious" spare time, but I haven't had the opportunity to get into that part of the application yet.
For some samples of code using the .NET SDK to do various thing, see my website at [www.dellstinnett.com/sample_code.html]. Code for walking the folder path is in the BOECommonInfo assembly.

Query to fetch all the responsibilities for which OA page is attached
Hi Team,
please help me to prepare a query to fetch all the responsibilities for which OA page is attached.
thanks in advance
Thanks & Regards,
Sriram THi,
Querys which you have provided was helpful.
But i was struck with the following issue. As the function is not excluded directly it may be excluded via a menu to the responsibility.
Even though it is displaying the responsibility name.
The following query is used to display the responsibility name with menu and function exclusions.
please help me on this.
SELECT r.RESPONSIBILITY_NAME
FROM
fnd_responsibility_vl r,
fnd_form_functions f
WHERE f.function_name = 'VSFFFRMADMN'--f.form_id =p_form_id
AND r.menu_id IN (SELECT me.menu_id
FROM fnd_menu_entries me
START WITH me.function_id = f.function_id
CONNECT BY PRIOR me.menu_id = me.sub_menu_id)
and r.menu_id not in (select frf.action_id
from fnd_resp_functions frf
where frf.action_id=r.menu_id
and frf.rule_type='M')
and f.function_id not in (select frf.action_id
from fnd_resp_functions frf
where frf.action_id=f.function_id
and frf.rule_type='F')
Thanks

SQL query to fetch WIP jobs agains a customer
Hi All,
Can anyone please help me with a SQL query to fetch WIP jobs agains a customer.
Regards,
ShrutiIf you are using ATO functionality and if you are reserving sales orders to work orders, you can link them as follows
Using customer name, identify the open sales order headers and lines.
For each line, query reservations (mtl_reservations) using demand id fields.
For those reservations where supply = wip job, use the supply id fields and get wip_entity_id.
Using wip_entity_id, get wip_entity_name(job#) from wip_entities table.
Once a job is completed, this link is lost.
