Need remote for Creative Inspire GD580

This is normal. An optical or coaxial connection is only capable of passing over a stereo PCM signal (you're getting this now), or an encoded stream (AC3, from DVDs for instance). If you are playing back a DVD then it will work provided the settings are all correct. For other audio, you will not get 5.1 over that connection. This thread has some more detail:

No Xbox360 for Creative Inspire GD580 ?

Hi all,
i've tried everything to set up my 5.1 in my Xbox360 Dashboard, i can hear the rear sound when my 360 start, but just after, the Dolby Digital light shut down on my Inspire GD580 decoder and it automatically return on Stereo mode ;-(
My first Xbox fully works with it, but i can just have stereo on my 360...
Could someone help me, plzzz
(of course, i've plugged the optical cable on the video cable (i had the premium pack with optical output on the video cable, and i've seted up my 360 Dashboard on Dolby Digital 5.1 mode)

In order to fully optimize the 7.1 speaker you have, you will need to get a sound card that support 7.1 speaker system. The Audigy 2 ZS series range support this.

Donc voila j?ai un probl?me avec mes enceinte Inspire GD580 combiner ? ma carte son Sound Blaster Audigy. Lorsque je joue ? un jeu vid?o certains sons ne sortent pas (cela arri've lorsque les jeux utilise L?EAX), de plus lorsque je test les haut parleur a l?aide du ? I have a problem with my enclosure Inspire GD580 to combine with my chart its Sound Blaster Audigy. When I play a video game certain sounds do not leave (that arrives when the plays uses the EAX), moreover when I test the high speaker using the "Creative Diagnoses" I hears only before left and right!
Do you have a solution?

Yes, it can support a 6. speaker system. Infact, the soundcard is capable of supporting up to 7. speaker system.

hi, people, I need Drivers for? Creative-Labs PCI28 PCI CT-4750 to windows 7, I installs a few drivers but in the SO dont work very well, because this card have 2 out of audio and only sound out (green out), I think the problen is the drivres, I cant found, need help, im from venezuela, mi english its not good T_T

in the control panel > sound > only appears the opcion "mono and stereo"

Unless you can get the last XP driver from 2002 to install in compatibility mode, you can pretty much forget about it. That card is just way to old to get any kind of driver for Windows 7.

Creative Inspire GD580 5.1 speakers

Im thinking about buying these speakers for use with my xbox 360. But i am unsure how exactly to connect the xbox 360 to the speaker system. At the minute i have my xbox 360 connected to my HDTV through a VGA cable, but if this poses a problem, i could easily use the HD component wires that came with the console. So any advice would be very helpful.
And another question. I was told that i will need to purchase extra cable so that the speakers can be placed correctly around the room. Will i need 2 gauge speaker wires? or will 8 gauge wires work. Im not sure what this means, but it was what i was told.

The X-Box 360 comes standard with RCA (red/white composite) audio out. As an option you can purchase the S/PDIF (digital) audio out.
I own 2 different Creative speaker systems. The GigaWorks S750 and the MegaWorks THX 5.1 550. Both these systems use the analog mini-jack in (front, rear & sub), and the S750 also has the little "table box" with M-port, mic in & headset out (mini-jack).
Can I use any of these Creative ssystems to connect to the X-Box 360? If yes, what is the best solution and which converter(s) is needed?

Help Need Help for Creative M

my Creative Muvo and Creative Muvofm will not read in my coputer.
when i it put in the a USB port nothing will pop up.
then when i go to My Computer it will not be there.
then when i am at the My Coputer i right click and go to Hardware and then Device manger i see that it want to read it becasue it will be there and then it says that i need to reinstall the hardware. so when i do it does not work. then it is the same thing all over agian.
so can someone help me. i need it. this problem happens for both mp3 players.

Try this. Install the driver on the pc. Right click on my computer and clock on manage. Go to windows services and make sure that Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) is set to automatic. Reboot the pc. Now try connecting the mp3 player before starting any software. See if it is now recognized. Which models of Muvo do you have?

AC Power cable for Creative Inspire 5.1 Console 5500D

After many years of happy useage my power adaptor has given up the ghost and you cant buy these any where for love nor money! Can someone please advise if I can buy another power cable from Creative which will work with these speakers. The model number on the adaptor is: TEAC-66-24900V AC ADAPTOR.

Mp3 Player not detected in Vista ,I need drivers for Creative Zen Micro in Windows Vista 32-b

Hi ,?Im trying to install my Creative Zen Micro in windows Vista , But A Compatibility Problem appear and i can't install it .Windows Show me that a new hardware is found? and what i have to do , i Install it with the CD , but The installation can't be successful and a message saying me i have to contact Creative Support for the dirvers appear and the installation can't be completed. I updated my Firmware as stated by Creative Labs support team. I downloaded on my son's PC which has Window's XP Pro edition. Again, on his PC there is no problem with recognition of the device and/or player. However, when I plug my player into my PC which has Vista, the device manager has a "!" next to ZEN Micro Photo. So my PC "See's" the player. However, when you right click and then go to "Properties" it states that "The drivers for this device are not installed (code 28)" Then it states to "reinstall the drivers" But when I tried to install or reinstall the "Driver" using the install wizard, I get an error message... "An error occurred during the installation of the device" and " A service installation section in this INF is invalid" Then a pop bubble appears and says "Found new hardware" You may have a problem with your device. It may not be working properly" So what do I do at this point. The only way for me currently to download music is to use my son's PC. At least I have another option... I feel sorry for the rest of you. When will creative wake up and smell the Vista!!

I have other problem too. I tried to play DVD movie with PowerDVD 6 and Center speaker doens't work if 6 channel or spdif audio is enabled on PowerDVD settings. No speech of any movies. When I change example 4 channel audio speech will play on center speaker. Creative Speaker Settings have 5.1 enabled. In games center speaker works properly. Serious Sam 2 is only game that I have played now and not working but it seems to be latest game patch problem. Latest patch disabled EAX effects.

It's normal if you're using Digital connection. The audio test file from the software is not an AC3 signal. You can find the explaination in this Knowledgebase article SID576.

6600 is quite old model too. You should check out their newer model of speaker like the I-Trigue 5600 if it's available in your country. With this speaker, there's a line in at the remote. With this line in, you can have the TV connected from rca to minijack to the remote and to top this off, the speaker itself have the CMSS feature from creative sound card and with this feature, you can upmix the tv sound to 5. soundfield and it definitely sound good.
