Need right-click in Capitvate 4 in Aggregated files

I need the right-click to work in my simulations created in Captivate 4 using AS2. They work fine individually, but not when aggregated. I read in the forum that the javascript that allows the user to right click is included in the HTML file published with the individual swf. Of course, that file is not used with the aggregator.
Instead, I get the error message shown here.
Would it work to copy that code from the individual cp file when published and paste it into the Aggregator html file? If so, how would I recognize that code?
Thanks for any suggestions you might have.

is it only me? no one has the same issue?

Have you gone to Edit > Preferences > General > Import Settings to make sure that "Import Using" is set to "AAC Encoder"?

  • Need Right-Click - New Functionality

I'm a recent switcher (went from PC to Mac Mini). One of the features I used a lot in Windows was right-clicking (in a folder or one the desktop) and selecting New and then Text Document, Word Document or Excel Document. An empty document of whichever type would then be created in the current folder (with some default name) which I could then double-click and the appropriate program would be opened to edit the document.
Is there any way to achieve similar functionality on a Mac? I have noticed Automator has a New Text Document workflow which is close. However, it requires you to specify only one folder all new documents will created in. I need something that will always use the current folder in which I am right-clicking.
    Thanks for any suggestions.

As far as I know there's nothing in Mac OS that lets you do it easily, although UNIX people would probably disagree.
You could try looking for shareware. This is one I just found a second ago:
    http://www.naratt.com/LaunchItems.html
Maybe between that and AppleScript you could work something out?

  • Context right-click to export XMP metadata to file

I'd like to have the right click context menu include the option to "Export XMP Metadata to Files" in the Library grid or filmstrip. Currently an annoying trip to the Menu bar is required to invoke this function.

It was there for B4.1. The Contextual Menus are getting crowded, so maybe that's why they took it out.
I like lots of Contexual Menus, too. But they get a little useless if too crowded, so maybe they need ot be user configuarable for what one uses the most.
    Maybe by V1.5?

  • Finder issue: Compress option missing from right-click menu and greyed out in File menu

How can this be, and - more importantly - what can I do to resolve this issue? Thanks.

You mean this ThisService?  Never heard of it before.
Why don't you create services using Automator (in /Applications)?  That's one of the things it is designed to do.  It has no problem with making sure they are properly created and installed in ~/Library/Services so that the finder can see them there under the conditions desgnated when you create them.  You don't even have to log out and back in.
Note, if you like using applescript you can use applescript in automator too.

  • Facing Strange Problem in DIR HOW TO DISABLE THE RIGHT CLICK MOUSE IN THE DIRECTOR? (through parent script/ movie?)

Summary : HARD QUESTION : In the DIR file, the game runs well, right click = no effect. Coz I'm not making right click scripts. BUT in EXE file, right click = ERROR.
    Explanation :
In the Adobe Director screen, this DIR file game is worked 100%.
I tested right click EVERYWHERE... NOTHING HAPPENS.
Because I don't make any programming with "on rightmouseup" or "on rightmousedown" command.
THEN, I published it into EXE...
I tested right click EVERYWHERE...I hoped the result will be the same as DIR tests....
WHEN I RIGHT CLICK IN THE AREA THAT'S GIVEN ON EXITFRAME ME, IT SHOWS ERROR, CHANGING PICTURES.....
this does not happened in the DIR file...
I didn't make a runmode program or anything else.... This is awkward... mystery for me...
WHY THERE'S A DIFFERENCE IN DIR and EXE... it should be exactly the same result.
I have used Director for years.... This is really strange for me...
    >>>>>>>>HOW TO DISABLE THE RIGHT CLICK MOUSE IN THE DIRECTOR?
THIS ONE is useless.... It doesn't prevent the rightmouse click,...
          on rightmouseup me
                 nothing
         end
          on rightmousedown me
                 nothing
         end

    Dear Adobe Forums friends
I need your help and guide through this problem...
In the game's dir file that is run on the DIRECTOR softwawre,
the game runs perfectly, I can do LEFT CLICKS (coz I programmed the script)
and when I do RIGHT CLICKS = there are no effect ( coz I don't do script for it)
LATER THIS GAME TURNED INTO EXE.
It supposed to run like the dir file as ABOVE. BUT STRANGELY, WHEN
I DO RIGHT CLICKS, it turns Error and showing as the picture attachment.
The right clicks that goes error are above the picture of numeric button only. (in DIR file
this run normal). I looked into the script behind the numeric button picture, there are only "on exitframe me", there are no script I made inside the "on exitframe me" that is triggering RIGHT CLICKS.
    1. I wonder why there are differences in DIR and EXE effect
    2. Why right click? Left click effects are all normal.
    3. IS THERE ANY WAY TO DISABLE ALL RIGHT CLICKs since the beginning of EXE. So the game will be run normal. I don't need right clicks anyway, but whenever people do right click there will be ERROR.??
    4. Is there any way to STOP THE MESSSAGE BOX TO APPEAR IN FRONT OF THE GAME? (I hate the Dirrector Error Message Box), or auto press OK.
NB: this game uses Buddy API Xtras, File IO Xtras.
    Thx
    David S

  • Wired Mighty Mouse and right click on my intel  imac

    Hi,
    This is a stumper!
    1) Wired mighty mouse stated to lose right click functions. Control click
works fine but right click with menus is gone.
    2) Tried steer mouse. No change
    3) Deleted hidmouse user prefs. No change.
    4) System Archive and install. no change
    5) Clean install and Account reinstall (by hand). no change
    6) Nuke and Pave. no change
    7.) Pram reset. no change
    8) Mouse works on other Macbook- not a mouse problem.
    9) Second Mighty mouse exhibits the same problem.
    10) logging into second account. no change
    11) Other 2 button mice work!
    12) I like my mighty mouse, but I need right click!!
    13) Tried Apple Dev hid driver debug . no change
    14) Tried a bunch of other things but this has me stumped....
(and I'm Apple Certified) any other suggeestions or software
I can try? Context plugins are ok...but I'm not sure if there are other prefes to deleted? Also, a totally fresh install should have fixed this...what's going on here? I need to know.

What is strange about my mighty mouse which also experiences similar issues is that you have to be careful where you are pushing it. My right tbutton is set as a control click but if I don't push it in the very upper right hand of the mighty mouse it behaves as a single click. The left hand button, as such, does not seem to be as sensitive to placement as the right hand one. For a long while I could not get it to work at all, until I figured out where I actually had to strike it.
I had never used a mighty mouse until I purchased a new iMac a couple of weeks ago and just figured it was "operator difficulty" as I am far more used to a trackball than a mouse. I may still go back to one if I can't get used to this mouse. I think you really have to put your whole hand over the mouse to make it function properly and I tend not to do that.
Does this help you with your issue? I am not sure, maybe there is some sort of difference in the way the mighty mouse works with new hardware?
Good Luck! Wish I had more to offer other than trying carefully to position your handin difernt places and see if that helps.

  • Why isn't right-click supported in Flash?

As far as I understand, adobe doesn't want flash player to support right-clicking for anything but a context-menu.
I'm creating a new flash game, and once again i'm trying to figure out how to create good controls without being able to use the right click in it.
Once again, it's painful and feels like adobe is giving me the middle finger here.
Why is custom action for right-clicking not supported? It's really crippling for game developers.
Will this be different in the future?

I'm guessing they originally wanted to make a statement that "user interface must be so simple that it doesnt need right click". Then they just never added the right-click because apparently game developers aren't that important for them.
I just saw some games that were made with unity 3d and got kind of envious. The games were fast enough for playing decent 3d-shooters with browser, and also: right-click.
Adobe is coming behind with some system that allows use of hardware acceleration and 3d-api, so that one should be able to make pretty fast 3d games with flash. I hope they add the other mouse buttons by then too, because 3d-game-support but no right-click support is in my opinion just dumb.
If someone knows if the right-clicking will be added later or can guess why it hasn't already, I'd love to hear.

  • How to add a new right-click menu entry in Nautilus file browser?

I want to add a couple of new context menu entries to Nautilus File Browser.
So when I e.g. right-click in View Pane on a file "foobar.conf" an menu entry "edit with gedit" should appear (among the other default entries).
When clicked the file "foobar.conf" should be passed to gedit (and gedit editor opened).
    How can I achieve this?
Under Ubuntu there are nautilus-actions but when I try to install them in Solaris with
    pkg install nautilus-actions
then this package is not found.
How else can I create my own context menues?
I would appreciate to have one script with all my context menus, which when run add them all in one step.

To manage selected files or directories, you can use specific Nautilus variables like NAUTILUS_SCRIPT_SELECTED_FILE_PATHS.

  • Print from Windows Explorer Right Click (Adobe Reader X, WinXP)

When I right click on a batch of PDF files in Windows Exploer (WinXP) and click "Print" Reader used to print them all to
my default printer.  With Reader X windows waits patiently for me to close Reader before printing each file.

Subject: Print from Windows Explorer Right Click (Adobe Reader X, WinXP)
I am also getting exactly the same problem, highlighting multiple pdf files right clicking and choosing "print" prints the first document, fails to close the adobe x window and sits there patiently untill it's manualy closed and then the next document prints  - repeat - loop.
Have this happening on just about every windows xp machine in the office that I try it on and any and all versions of "Adobe X" that I care to install.
would love a fix for this, reinstalling 9 manually on every PC would waste a day of my life.

  • Right click will not open files

Up until yesterday I could right click on a photo or movie file and I would get a menu coming up that would let me choose which program I want to open it in. Now I do not get this. The right click works, such as in a browser, or I can right click on a folder in the side bar and get a menu, but not if I go to a folder on my hard drive. Can anyone help? I have tried several different mice, I get the same thing.

    Hi Shirley,
The google drive menu icon looks like this (red arrow)
I had this problem too today, and I've spent a few hours figuring out what the exact problem was.
There was nothing wrong with my back-up clones, and I didn't do any major updates, so I was puzzled.
After a few reboots I noticed the problem wasn't there until Google Drive app asked access to my keychain, and from this point the right-click problem came back.
I can confirm that the temporary fix described above works for now. Good to know, google is aware and trying to fix it.

  • No right click on icon view

The right click doesn't work in the finder in mosaic view. When I use list view there is no problem. But I've always liked the mosaic view, but now I have to switch to list view to enable the right click for compressing or sending my files or anything. I think is a problem in finder and is not related to the mouse. I also have a wacom tablet (usb wired) an the pen and mouse behaves the same way. Anyone else with the same problem or was just my installation?

If you select that right-click context menu entry then you block all images from that domain and not one specific image, so do not use that.
    * Check the exceptions in Tools > Options > Content: Load Images > Exceptions (e.g. sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net)
You can use these steps to check if images are blocked:
    * Open the web page that has the images missing in a browser tab.
    * Click the website favicon ([[Site Identity Button]]) on the left end of the location bar.
    * Click the "More Information" button to open the "Page Info" window with the Security tab selected (also accessible via "Tools > Page Info").
    * Go to the <i>Media</i> tab of the "Tools > Page Info" window.
    * Select the first image link and scroll down through the list with the Down arrow key.
    * If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "<i>Block Images from...</i>" then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.

  • Weird right click problem

Okay, this started mid day yesterday, and I can't find any topic on it. When I right click on something (i.e. folder, file, or even the back button in Safari) it acts like a double click. I haven't installed anything new lately other than Quicktime and itunes update this morning. I checked my Keyboard & Mouse setting in the system prefs, and everything looks fine there. Any suggestions?
Oh yeah, I even tried loggin in as a different user and it still happens. Tried running Disk Utility.
    Thanks!

    Glad to hear that!
    Enjoy your Mac

  • EA2 right click to open SQL file/opening file creates new connection

    EA2, win XP pro, sp2
    1. Right click to open an existing SQL file missing from the context menu.
    2. Even after I set my default path to look for scripts, it opens in Documents and Settings\USERID\Application Data\SQL Developer
    3. When I open a new file or script, it creates a new tab in which I have to pick the connection. In 1.2, it used the connection of the tab I was in. Am I missing a setting for this?

1 I suspect the Open File item might be missing because it is integrated with version control and they have left that outUse the main toolbar / menubar Open. Ctrl-O also works.
The local context menu "Open" was removed not due to version control but to reduce the clutter on worksheet's toolbar & menubar.
Though it might have been convenient, I think when you get used to, you'll appreciate that we want to save the space for other really context sensitive menu's for worksheet.
