Need SAP USER License Type i got License no from FM

Hi All,
I need to display all SAP user details with License no and License Type.
I got License No from function module : SLIC_GET_LICENCE_NUMBER, but i did not find any table or FM for License Type...
Is there any table of FM to get the License Type.

Suppose if I craete a user type other than DIALOG such as SYSTEM or COMMUNICATION etc; will this be counted as License User. Or only DIALOG users are paid license users.

When I go User Classification Display screen, under Contractual User Type column all my 150 users are marked "Operational" but for those which I defined as System / Communication User are defined any contractual user type.
What does it mean??

I think FM BAPI_USER_GET_DETAIL will do. Structure ADRESS contains everything.
If you like to display at screen - use BAPI_USER_DISPLAY.

SAP user license & audit

Hi all,
      I am a starter in SAP.
      If i suppose procure 10 user license and installed the SAP package, can i create more than 10 user id's. Will the system allows me to do it? If yes how can SAP AG will check it.
      Also can anyone tell me when SAP will conduct the audit in an implementation project. i have heard something like 'sox' audit. I am not even clear about the terminology used. Pls give some inputs.

as it follows the independent concept so an audit team can represent the internal organization or external.
actually it is performed to identify and evaluate complex business and technology risks and related opportunities for internal control improvement to reduce the risk and enhance the quality, assurance and security of information systems and business processes.
so the organization needs to perform it either by using its internal team who are aware of the concept of SOX std. or the organization can give this job to external unit to do the same.

Hi,
Before running USMM, it is recommanded to set all the userids (except SAP* and system generated communication users like TMSADM etc) to dialog. Service user can be used for the purpose of multiple logins without prompt that this user id is being used by other user also. This is agains the contract. That's why it is always recommanded to first change the type to dialog orelse on demand, explain the specific purpose to change the use type to other than dialog.

SAP User Licensing is a complicated matter that varies from region to region. This is something that should really be discussed directly with your account executive.

How to buy additional 6 users license more from different vendor

Hi
If i buy 30 licenses from Vendor #1 and then later on buy additional 6 licenses from Vendor #2, do i have to pay AMC for 30 licenses to Vendor #1 and AMC for 6 licenses to Vendor #2 or pay AMC for 36 licenses to either Vendor#1 or Vendor #2.
please suggest me.

Don't get confuse this is depending on your business agreement.
There are three way
First
Vendore@1 you have to purchase 30 license for that you have to pay AMC for 30 license
Vendore@2 you will purchase 6 license for that you have to pay AMC for 6 license
Second
Vendore@1 you have to purchase 30 license and Vendore@2 you will purchase 6 license
for that you have to pay AMC for 36 license to Vendor@1
Third
Vendore@1 you have to purchase 30 license and Vendore@2 you will purchase 6 license
for that you have to pay AMC for 36 license to Vendor@2
But the right way is you have to pay AMC any one of them because no one can answer if you have in trouble
and in SAP there are no name on license file which you have buy it Vendore@1 or Vendore@2.

One of my user's computers has died and they do not have access it to sign out of the cloud. How can they get it running on their new laptop?

As per my understanding, limited professional users are upper management people who do not carry out transactions in the system. They only use reports to check out data.
Here is what SAP documentation says:

A mySAP Limited Professional (Cat. III) user is a named user who performs limited operational related roles supported by the software. In particular employees of business third parties are to be licensed as mySAP Limited Professional users.
Those employees of business third parties that are performing functions or roles normally performed by the customer's employees, for example independent contractors, consultants or temporary employees need to be licensed as Professional Users.
The mySAP Limited Professional User license includes the rights granted under a mySAP Employee User license.

So if you are talking about line managers who approve/reject e.g. invoives, sales orders, purchase orders, etc I think you are going to need professional user license. <b>I am open to correction though</b>

I have joined the organization newly.. Next week SAP Auditing is coming for Auditing. Now my mangement dont have any documents for number users license we have. I want to know the no of users license approved from SAP. Is there any way to find it out from Service Market Place. or any other way for it.

But that is what am mentioning. They dont have the End User License Agreement document with them . That is the problem now. Actually initially they had only 75 users .They have the EULA for that . Later they extended 25 users .for that they dont have any documents.
Is there anyother way to find it out!!!!

I am Chartered Accountant and having 2 years of domain experience. I have completed my training from a small institute that is not SAP partner. I have very good hold on SAP FI and CO modules and want to appear for SAP FI certification. I DID SELF STUDY AND I AM TOO MUCH CONFIDENT ON THE SUBJECT.
But for appearing any SAP certification I need SAP USER-ID. I DON"T KNOW HOW CAN I GET IT IF I AM INDIVIDUAL CONSULTANT??

Elgibility for Certification:
You should either complete your training in any Authorized Training Center or Should have experience of more than 2 years(not sure if it is 2 or 3 now) in the said module.
If you dont have any of the above, then certification wont happen in India.

SAP user assigned with roles from HR-ORG incorrectly

Hi All
I have an issue where a SAP user appears to be receiving role assignments from some HR-ORG object erroneously.
I have checked the user's HR positions and organisational assignments and they do not have any roles assigned.
I also checked the job and no roles are assigned there as well.
Where could these roles be coming from if they are not coming from the position or org unit?
User currently has direct role assignments in SU01 except for 3 roles which appear as indirect assignments (HR assignments) in SU01.
Is this is a bug and is there a note to fix it?
Please could someone let me know why this is happening.

Please see below screenshot, it is an Org assignment but single roles also belong to composite roles.
PBS is not meant to be active and PFUD is scheduled as a daily job. CUA is not active here.
User is assigned to a position and org unit but roles are not provisioned via the Org/position. So there is a 0105 mapping, I have checked those positions and org units but no roles are assigned there.
Basis release 731 and level 0005, SP - SAPKB73105.

User Type 53 is:
53 mySAP Limited Prof. (Cat III) mySAP Business Suite Limited Professional (Cat III)
Check whether the active user types for both the user ids in these two systems are in sync or not. Also make sure that there is no wrong value is set in SU01 for the user id. Both system should contain same settings for company specific settings.. like ... Company address, Decimal Notation of users, Time Zone of user, License type etc. etc. ...
Check these things and let us know what you got.

User license type

we are on GRAC 10.1 SP6. Created custom field for user license type for both request form and role attribute, both appear. Also followed the SAP note 1736817 for mapping. Maintained mapping for connector group, assign group field mapping. custom field is mapped to system field name LIC_TYPE, table name IS_UCLASS. The field is available for edit on the request, but when submitted, the value does not populate on the target system. Also would like to have drop-down using ACTIVE field in table TUTYPA. If anyone has successfully done either of these, please respond.
