Need screenshot of black text on pink background

I tried taking a screenshot of the text I need in Keynote, but it came out without the pink. Can I accomplish this in Pages? I just bought Pages to try to accomplish this (a deadline!)--but when I add a text box to a pink paragraph, all I see is a black box. No letters.
I'll learn Pages later, but I have to get this done tonight. Yikes! Help?
If it can't be done in Pages--can you offer any other ideas?

Is this what you need?
I Used a Shape instead of a Text box as you can also write text in a Shape. You change the colour in the Inspector > Graphical tab > Fill

  • Black text on white background has horrible glow after export & viewed on TV.

    I'm wondering how to correct a glow that develops around black text after exporting. Black text is on white background of course.
    Export settings:
    H.264
    HDTV 1080p 24 HQ
    I've checked of 'use max. render quality' as well as 'render at max. depth'
    If someone could help, that would be greatly appreciated!

    If you want to try the contrast change.
    In Titler ..make the White Fill less than full white. ( Color Picker Fill)  235 to 245 should be fine.
    I would not mess with the Black and you should not need to Key line anything with Grey.
    But maybe you did not make this text in Titler.
    If not..you need to make the changes in original application. eg PhotoShop.
    What TV is involved in viewing this?
    How does the Text look in the PPRO Monitors?

  • Cursor disappears in Word 2004/2008 with white on black text

    When I turn on white text on black background, and open a document in Word 2004 or 2008 (or text entry field, in, e.g., Firefox**), when the pointer changes from an arrow to an "I-bar" shape, it disappears. If I toggle back to black text on white background, poof -- there it is. I talked to Apple support and they were able to reproduce the problem, but said it's with Word. I talked to Microsoft support, and they said it's an Apple problem. I don't care; I just need a way to fix it, because using Word is difficult w/o a pointer, and I need to use Word. Anyone have any ideas? I do NOT see a problem with, e.g., Mail.app, where the cursoer also changes to an I-bar at times, but remains visible even in high contrast mode. Note also that this probem does not occur using Word for Windows using Windows high contrast mode (which, however, really is primative compared to OS X's mode).
    **Re Firefox example: I'm filling out this form right now, and although the insertion point is visible (the vertical bar where text is entered), the pointer (the arrow that changes to an I-bar when it's inside this text-entry box) is not. All I need to do to make it visible -- as in Word -- is hit Ctrl-Cmd-Opt-8 to toggle the text to black on white, and there it is.

    Thanks for the suggestions.
    1. White on blue is a partial solution. It's actually still a little glarey for me (I have an eye problem), and, of course, when I switch from Word to another program, I have to toggle back into white on black for the other program, so I can see it.
    2. I thought of Pages, too. It works fine, except that I need to exchage documents with PC users, who use Word. For some reason Pages displays line and page breaks in different places than does Word, which is a problem when moving docs back and forth. (Apple support told me that Pages renders fonts and line spacing differently from Word, and there's no way to make text look the same in both programs.) Thats a deal-killer, because the folks I work with and I need to see page layouts exactly the same. TextEdit doesn't have the features I need.
    3. As to other programs: It also happens all other Office apps, in Mozilla Thunderbird, and with Palm Desktop for the Mac. It does NOT occur, oddly, in NeoOffice. I initially thought that the re-write of Word from 2004 to Universal Binary in 2008 would fix the problem, but it didn't. Maybe other folks who are listening (reading) in can try it on some third party programs. I don't have or use anything else that I can think of.

  • Change Text Color and Background

    Hello
    I need to change the text colour and background for an entire text box and it's contents with as little iteration as possible
    For the Background I am using textframe.fillcolor
    and for the text I am usinf textframe.parentstory.fillcolor
    Is this correct?
    Thanks

    Hey!
    Yeah, that's ok.
    Also you can adjust color tint, and color text per paragraph like this:
    //fill text frame with color
    app.selection[0].fillColor = app.activeDocument.swatches.item("Red");
    //adjust fill color tint
    app.selection[0].fillTint = 20;
    //fill second paragraph
    app.selection[0].parentStory.paragraphs[1].fillColor = app.activeDocument.swatches.item("Red");
    //fill third line
    app.selection[0].parentStory.lines[2].fillColor = app.activeDocument.swatches.item("Red");
    Hope it helps!

  • The background is missing. Black text is now appearing white. Cannot see most of the page, because the text is white!!!!! HELLLLLLLPPPPPPPP!

    Some of the text shows up in black or a shade of blue. The firefox logo is in full color. I have tried Tools/Option/Contents/Color - the settings are correct, but even after rebooting the computer, still missing most of the text. The background is white.
    Checked other Browsers, and none of them are appearing correctly. Firefox is my "beloved" browser, so I am turning to you for help!

    Reset to the Firefox "Default" theme in Add-ons > Appearance. Then, if you wish, find a different Theme or Persona, that is not so dark:

  • IWork '09's template chooser shows black text on a black background. Not very useful, how to change?

    Hi -
    For some time now, the template chooser that I see in any iWork application shows the name of the file as black text on a black background.
    This can't be normal, right?
    I'm looking for a way to change this into something with more contrast (black on grey/black on white, for example).
    How?
    I tried trashing preferences from my user account, the issue persisted.
    I'm about to try under a new user and I'll report back.
    Kind regards,
    Edd Turner

    Good that you try things out. If it doesn't help you might need to reinstall iWork and do the updates again.
    Use Yvan's script to uninstall iWork fully.
              •          Go to http://www.box.com/s/00qnssoyeq2xvc22ra4k
              •          Choose public_YK > for_iWork'09 > other_iWork'09 items
              •          Click on uninstall iWork '09.zip, decompress it, open it in AppleScript Editor and click the Run button

  • In my group text one of my friends texts is pink while everyone else has the standard black text. Why is this?

    in my group text my friend has pink text while everyone else has the standard black text. why is this?

    Hi,
    You can change it in several ways.
    In Messages > Preferences > Viewing you can change your outgoing background (Balloon) colour, which then gives you access to change the Font and it's text colour.
    This works Mac to Mac in Messages using any service (iMessages, AIM, Jabber, Bonjour and yahoo).
    iMessages users on iOS devices will not see it as it does not do coloured Balloons  (the App only colours your outgoing ones to tell you if it is SMS or iMessages but does not send the colour)
    You can also change individual IMs or iMessages by using the Format menu (Show Font and Show Colours)
    And as Eric says there is the Keyboard/Contextual Menu method.
    As lots of yours are "white" I presume this is iMessages on several iPhones and one computer.
    iChat (the forerunner to Messages used to attribute random colours to incoming IMs in a group chat so they (people) looked different.
    This can't be done in Messages 7 and 8

  • Is there a way to change the color of the Bezier Curves and points to a different color other than black  I find it perplexing while setting points and curves working on a photo that needs to be separated from it's background for placement on transparent

    Is there a way to change the color of the Bezier Curves and points to a different color other than black  I find it perplexing while setting points and curves working on a photo that needs to be separated from it's background for placement on transparent backgrounds. Any thoughts?

    Yes. Well, sort of: instead of a "path", set the pen tool to "shape" in the tool properties. Then set the fill colour to transparent, and the stroke colour to the colour you want. You can also set the stroke width.
    Not perfect, but at least you can see the path more clearly - the anchor points and handles still remain the default colour. Open the path panel, and right-mouse click the path shape to create a selection based on that shape. The Paths panel menu also allows you to create work paths based on that shape.
    Unfortunately when you try to move the handles the black thin outline appears again until you release the mouse button.
    This is one of several things that works better in Photoline: in Photoline, once the path is set to a specific colour, editing the path uses the actual colour and stroke width. which is extremely handy for creating path based selection with awkward background colours and/or a high resolution screen. In Photoline the handles and bezier points are also much, much larger, which makes it rather simpler to work with as well - especially on a higher resolution screen. And when selected the handles and points are a clear red with a black outline - again easier to spot and identify. I just works better, in my opinion.

  • ITunes 11 has black background with black text

    I had previously set iTunes to use the dark grid theme. Now I've upgraded to itunes 11 but i'm stuck with cases where I have a black background and black text with no preferences option to fix it. (the same problem I had with the previous itunes version, even when i tried selecting a different theme it wouldn't change)
    examples include the downloads window
    And views like album view that the text changes color based on the album art, and the background is supposed to too but mine doesn't, so sometimes the icons/text will be unreadable. Like the close, play, shuffle, etc buttons in the screen shot below.
    I have tried retinstalling iTunes several times between 10.6 and 11 to fix various bugs but it's never worked properly.
    Thanks for any help anyone can provide.

    Very Big thank you All of you for your help !!! It's been an hour that I didn't know what to do to see which songs to chooses because of the grey typo on black background !!! Merci
    defaults write com.apple.iTunes high-contrast-mode-enable -bool FALSE
    Enfin sauvée après une heure de galère à chercher partout comment changer la skin de itunes 11 alors que c'était en fait un bug d'affichage !!!

  • Is there a setting to make a PDF print with no background and black text?

    I made a nice booklet that has colorful blocks in the background and sometimes white text and sometimes black text. We are not going to print it, it is just going to be a PDF on our website. Can I set it up so that it always prints without the backgrounds and makes all the text black?
    I just don't want people to have to print huge fields of colr if they end up printing this out on a little ink jet with expensive and finicky cartridges...
    BT

    There are is no as such specified setting for customer or reader printer, because it depends on the printer setting of customer. However, you can mentioned that, if any one want to print book as black text, follow this setting http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/print-black-white-acrobat-reader.html

  • Need help with extracted text

    I am fairly new to CS4 and I extracted low resolution text to place on a new background. The text is important as is but I need to know how to clean up the text and make it better. After I place it one the background, it is not as clear, sharp, and vibrant as I need. I tried doing a color overlay and I also tried placing a style on it(cannot find one good for black text) but still it is not good enough. Any ideas how to make the black text better? I really need it as soon as possible...thanks everyone.
    Melissa

    You may never get it to a good quality.
    Can't you type it out again in a similar font?

  • How to change white background with text to transparent background

    Good afternoon,
    I have a jpg file (part of our logo) white background with black text and I would like to change it to transparent background and keep the black text (to be able to insert it on a cup image).
    I tried to change it in photoshop, however, when I slide the "opacity" and "fill", the text got ligther as well.
    Do I need to have the original psd.file to be able to do that, or can you please lead me through with jpg file? (I tried to save the jpg to psd and png, but it did not help.)
    I looked on one of your videos, but I could not find one of the features under "Select" tab.
    My plan is to recreate the text to have the transparent background if necessary (It would be great if I can avoid that). However, how do I find out which font was originaly used? Does photoshop has this feature, or do I need to go trough each of the font one-by-one?
    My last question is, how do I change space between letters (to have them more tight. I am not able to find it.
    Thank you for your help,
    Klara

    If you can get teh original PSD file get it, your task will be a lot easier.
    I suspect that won't be an option to you.
    If you know what fonts are being used, that also would be of benefit to you. In other word remake it using your image as a template.
    If it going over an image, then a multiply blend might work for you.
    All that fails then you are down to removing the white background. The problem this option is it will not look as good due to the thin lines on the fonts. But essentially, Load the image into photoshop, make sure the layer isnt locked, then try the magic eraser tool on the white background, bam it'll disappear, but leave the white inside the O white you will have to do seperately.
    Messing with levels will help you with more of the white. Myself i'd rebuild it using the fonts.

  • Downloaded book pages are almost black with black text

    I have downloaded books from Internet Archive (such as: http://archive.org/details/firstrecordsofma00marl ) and the pages have a very dark background with black text.   Not easily readable.   They are viewable OK on line.
    I use Windows XP v3 and Adobe Reader V 9.5
    I have also had this problem with books downloaded from Google but usually I can download it a few times and I'll get a readable copy.
    I believe these pdf's are good because they were created by Universities and/or Libraries and must have had some sort of vetting.
    So I presume it is my Adobe Reader which I have the latest updates.   I have books downloaded from years before that are OK (at least they were the last time I looked) so what do I need to make my Adobe work?
    Thanks
    Dave Mason

    I have no problems reading that particular book you linked, after downloading it.
    First thing to check: was it somehow corrupted during the download?  The size of the correctly downloaded PDF is 3,723,338 bytes.  Is yours the same size?
    Sometimes the graphics driver can also produce such discolorations, but you write that you can view it correctly online, so that should not be a problem.
    I viewed the PDF with the latest Adobe Reader 11; perhaps you could also update to Reader XI.
