NEED SERIOUS HD / FCP HELP

Hello everyone, I appreciate you all taking time to read & answer this post for me:
I am wondering if you can help me with this problem i am having...here's the background story and my questions;
i had avcd files that i converted with titanium toast (as an HD divx file) then from there i imported it into FCP 5 for editing..
i edited everything, now I was exporting the file ..if i play the exported sequence in quicktime the size of the video is small...it's not full HD 1440 x1080 resolution...it's much smaller and there is black all around the video - hope that makes sense..
Also - at times - i do not get any video on export - just audio.
ANY IDEAS HOW TO FIX??
Oh - and this video is going to be streamed online, I need the final file to be 1440 x 1080 HD or HD MOV file, I've never worked with HD files before - so I am very new to this, any help will be greatly appreciated.

It started there. You encoded to the wrong format. DIVX is not an editing codec by ANY means....that is why you are having issues. And most likely you encoded to some very off the wall frame size, not standard broadcast size. You needed to encode as DVCPRO HD (since you have FCP 5), and that would be 1280x1080 anamorphic.
BUT...you edited everything at your wonky import settings, so there really isn't much you can do. YOu didn't notice this big black border when you started editing? I don't know how to solve the issue you have with the footage in the current state...so much is wrong. I can only suggest re-encoding to a proper format and re-editing.

PS- We found out we had an "intruder" on our computer (or a hacker..?), but we removet it/them. (if thats any help)

I lost all email 6 months and older in mac mail. In my in-box as a well as all other folders I created. I expected that the mac email software would keep all email as it did for me in when I used to use Outlook. As well I thought I was covered with the Time Machine I have installed. Well.....The Time Machine that I was aggressively encouraged to buy apparently doesn't back up email. If it does, I must need some secret decoder ring to unlock where it is. I need serious help. I lost months of professional and personal data. I need to fix this immediately and find some way to get my email back. Please help.

In March when I upgraded to Lion and iCloud I also experienced a similar problem (cluster of problems) which was solved by a password reset (conforming to new requirements) for my Apple ID. I'm glad to see that many nice people contributed and your primary problem is fixed. My comment is on your Quicken problem.
Your data inside Quicken 2004 is on borrowed time. In the process of researching personal budgeting apps I found many reports on the web that indicate Intuit as a company is scaling down Quicken (desktop) development and its future attention to the Mac platform will be minimal.
Did you know that Intuit is behind Mint.com? You may be hesitant to put your financial data "in the cloud" and I may be being sheepish, but.. bbaaaa, bbaaaaa, the cloud is where it's going. I know first-hand want a pain in the arse it is to customize an app to your liking. I spent several hours on Mint.com setting up categories and tagging transactions. It's tedious. I didn't look because I wasn't a Quicken user, but perhaps Intuit was nice enough to provide a data conversion path for Mint.com. It is worth a look.
My second suggestion is to scour the web for a hack solution. You can't be the only person who is facing this problem. Quicken was very popular. I just bet someone has posted directions or some code for exporting the Quicken 2004 data and manipulating it for something else.

Cold boot problem with X-FI Fata1ty card... Need serious help!

Hey guys:
I just finished upgrading my computer. Realized that I have a cold boot problem. In order to identify the source of problem. I began the following test.
. Remove everything except, cpu, heatsink, ram, video card. Tried to boot with those devices. => No cold boot problem.
2. Install the rest of the ram sticks (I have 4 x 52 in total). => No cold boot problem.
3. Install the other video card (my setup is 7900gtx in SLI) => No cold boot problem.
4. Install the Creative X-FI Fataty card. => COLD BOOT PROBLEM
Once the computer is shut down via the front power switch on the case, the computer will not boot again. To boot the computer, I need to switch off the main power switch on the back of the psu and switch it back on; then turn on the computer via the front power switch on the case. I tried the problem with and without the sound card. Whenever the sound card is installed. There is the problem. If there is no that sound card in my rig, then there won't be any cold-boot problem.
My rig specs:
DFI Lanparty nF4 SLI-DR Venus
AMD Opteron 65 CCBE 609 - Stock speed
4 x 52 MB G.Skill Samsung TCCD LE 2.85V DDR 400
CPU Cooling - Tuniq tower 20

The onboard sound is disabled. Unfortunately I sold the Seasonic PSU to my friend. The OCZ GameXStream is suppose to be the higher grade psu than Seasonic PSU. Also, the cold boot problem only exists if the sound card is plugged to the motherboard. I tried change different pci slot. It doesn't seem to help the problem. Did you try removing the Battery for a couple of minutes, insert back and see if it makes any difference ? If no change then you need to visit Nokia Care

Argh that's frustrating! I never noticed that key did not work in InDesign.
A bit of research and it turns out the MS Office has this as an option in their software. But I cannot find an option in InDesign preferences to make this work.
However, somethings are not listed in the shortcuts and preferences and are hidden triggers in InDesign which can be accessed through a script.
I'm not saying it's possible to activate the Insert Key through a script, but it's plausible that it can be activated.
Maybe ask on the scripting forum? InDesign Scripting
I know this may be a possibility as with InDesign's earlier versions of PDF export to interactive documents there previously was no way to export interactive pdfs as single pages if in Spreads.
But the option to toggle this setting was scriptable.

One generate a HTML file and use the Web.Show_Document to display the help file.
Two use shareware like 'Help Workshop' which can be found at www.cnet.com.

Try doing a level reformat of the iPod's flash storage instead to see if that kills the restore loop using the instructions in the article below.

I assume you know where your catalogue file (the lrcat file) is located. In the same folder is a previews lrdata folder which you should delete or rename in Explorer, then start LR again.
If I've made incorrect assumptions above, sorry, and we'll go back over it from the start.

As far as I know they can't be deleted, just remove any personal info from it (credit card details etc) and stop using it.
If you downloaded any content via it then you will need to remember it and it's password, as content is tied to the account that bought/downloaded it, so if you move to a new computer you'll need to authorise the account on it if you want to use any of its content there (or if you bought apps with it you'll only be able to download updates to them via that account)

It only uses 32bit, and my computer needs 64bit.   Please help.

64-bit windows can run 32-bit applications just fine and always has. They are just limited to a small amount of memory.   If something isn’t working it’s likely another problem like an incomplete download or trying to install the Mac version on a PC or something like that.

If you can’t get things to work, then please post a screenshot of the error and a description of what you’re trying to do that lead to the error.
Also the term “downloading” refers to transferring a file from a remote server, across the internet, to your local computer.   The term “install” means running the program that was downloaded on your local computer to put the working program on your computer that you can run.
It would be helpful to know if your saying that the actual transfer across the internet part isn’t working, or if that part seemed to work, but when you run that installer program you’re seeing an error.

If restarting Mac or reinstalling OS X does not correct this symptom, you likely have a hardware problem. Contact Apple Support or an Apple Authorized Service Provider for service.

I'm sorry we cannot help you.
You have Jailbroken your device. Apple does not support Jailbreaking and as such having done so has voided your warranty and forfeited any support from Apple and by extension these forums. We are not allowed to discuss Jailbroken devices in any way by the Terms of Service of the forum.
You will have to find help elsewhere. Ask the person that installed Cydia to restore the phone.
