Need serious help with quicktime for windows. PLEASE HELP!!! : (
So i had quicktime on my windows program list and have had it since i bought the computer back in 08' well i got it back from a pawn shop after being down on my luck and they wiped everything out. ever since then i have been uploading pics and videos from my digital camera and the pics are fine but alot of the vids that i have put on here cannot be viewed and when i try to watch them i get an error message saying i need the latest version of quicktime. so i have tried uninstalling it after many failed update attemtps and i cannot get it to uninstall i have tried everything imaginable, from windows utility cleanup to removing it in add/remove programs to just deleting the files in the program list folder. Nothing. i get a prompt saying "the feature you are trying to use is on a resource that is unavailable." and then it goes on to say.. "Click ok to try again or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'quicktime.msi' in the box below." and it already has two diffrent paths located in the entry box and i have tried them both and it keeps giving me the same message as i posted above. i am so lost and it dont help that i dont really know a whole lot about computers. i am stuck between a rock and a hard place.any input would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

Unfortunately, these sorts of msi-related troubles have gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any QuickTime entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try installing QuickTime again. Does the install go through properly this time?
(If you do find a clean download site for the correct version of CleanUp, please don't tell me where it is. Without wishing to sound paranoid (although I grant it does sound paranoid), there is a non-zero chance that posting links to download locations for the utility here at Discussions leads to that download location being shut down.)

Help with Quicktime for Windows 7 64-bit
I am having a problem with the latest version of Quicktime for Windows. When I launch Quicktime and then 'click' on any icon for download I can see the sentence, "Connecting to iTunes" and then I am redirected to download iTunes... Problem is that I already have iTunes.
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit SP1 and up to date.
iTunes version 11.1.3.8
Quicktime version 7.74.80.86
I Unibstalled both products, using the guide provided from Apple. I, then downloaded and installed iTunes first, then I downloaded Quicktime and installed it. I had the same issue. Next, I went to Control Panel/ "programs and Features, used the "change" option and clicked "repair". I did this for both iTunes and Quicktime. They ran fine. No error messages, nothing in event logs, no trace of an install log to try to diagnose this myself. Does anyone have this problem, or can anyone help me to start the diagnosis necessary to solve this?
Second issue came to light after all of the steps I performed; Before, I would conect my iPhone to a USB port and iTunes would launch automatically. Now, it does not. I see my 4s in devices and I see a normal state using device manager. So, I went to "Default Programs" and selected my 4s and the dropdown window no longer has an option for iTunes. However, when I go to choose a default program for audeo, etc. the dropdown mwnu has an option for iTunes.

Doug ShreveI found the problem and the solution. In Internet Explorer ver 11 / manage plugin's, make sure that the Apple plugin's are enabled. My setings were incorrect, the plugin ws siabled. Enabled it and all is well!

I can see it on Windows Media? Need help on this.It says SEDG 720X480 2:1 Mono. Video came from Sd memory card taken with a Samsung Video Camera.
Strangely enough, as a FourCC, SEDG is defined as "MPEG-4 hardware and software codec used in Samsung digital video products." Not a Windows or Samsung camcorder user but THIS WEB PAGE may be of some assistance.
Also I will need to view a CD recorded by the same camera (DVD-RW) file extensions are VIDEO_RM.BUP
VIDEO_TS.IFO, VIDEO_TS.VOB, SAMSUNG.IFO So far these files don't open even with Windows Media.
I don't know what to do to be able to open up these files save them on my Hard drive and then be able to upload them to YouTube. Any Ideas?
IFO files tell how the video content is segmented and where the video data is located. BUP files contain back-up IFO information. VOB files contain actual multipled audio/video data. A DVD formatted to play in a commercial DVD player normally contains a series of files named "VTS##_#.VOB" where ## refers to the "title" series and "_#" (where # is not a zero) refers to the order in which the video title file data is played.
Again, I am neither a Windows user nor an athority on Samsung VIDEO_RM folder structures. However, if your disc contains both a VIDEO_RM and VIDEO_TS folder, then I would normally assume the VIDEO_RM folder is present for legacy purposes and/or to provide information about the refording device while the VIDEO_TS folder actually contains the video object (VOB) file data. In any case, as I am not familiar with what software is available for muxed MPEG-2/AC3 editing/conversion on a Windows platform, I would try viewing the VOB files in an application like MPEG Streamclip (free). If you can play the Audio and video content (be sure to read the MPEG Streamclip requirements regarding codec installation), then you can edit (merge and/or trim) the raw data and convert it to a format compatible for YouTube uploading. (I.e., MPEG Streamclip is commonly used on the Mac for this type of work flow and the app is also available for Windows use.) -

H.264 video should be supported by your basic Snow Leopard operating system. The DVCPRO HD family of codecs is part of the Apple "Pro" codecs package which is normally installed as part of a "Pro" video editing suite installer or contemporaneously installed separately as part of one of the newer pro editing apps like FCPX. if you already have one of these pro suites or apps installed or available, then re-install the correct codec package that is missing. If not, you will need to purchase a Pro suite or app to be able to install the required codec package. -

i am stuck with the need to have a pc due to a proprietary business software... I am a mac user and prefer to use safari... i just had to by a new pc and tried to download safari for windows 8.1 but cannot find it... any help out there?
Apple hasn't supported Safari for Windows in quite a while (and even when they did, you wouldn't want it - total crap). IE 11 actually isn't bad, you can also try Chrome.

Need Help Installing Quicktime For Windows
I bought Quicktime Pro for Windows and want to install it. When I reach the permissions dialogue box in Windows 7 to grant permission to install the software my mouse freezes and I can't move it to select "Yes" and proceed. Any thoughts on a way around this issue?

It seems to work in the sense after a little bit it does change the banner auto and after you stayed on a banner for a while, but it always changes to the same banner.
PLEASE HELP SOMEONE!!!!!!Incognito mode is a Google Chrome setting when you open a new window (Cmd+Shift+N on a Mac Ctrl+Shift+N on Windows) It opens a "private" window with no cookies and no tracking. The problem with it is that when you disable cookies, your license files are not sent to the site (whetehr it's YouTube or xFinity or any other that uses license files for paid content) and it treats you as if you're a first time visitor. Paid videos won't play wihtout the cookies sending the license file info.
This isn't a Flash Player setting. It's in Chrome. I did some research and according to Google, "Incignito" mode is off by default, and can ONLY be activate by the keyboard shortcut. Need help with merging contacts! Please help!!!
Hey guys. I have a little problem with my iPhone 4 with iOS 7. I have recently synced all of my contacts with iCloud so that I will be able to export them to my pc, but this is not the problem. Since I was deleting some of the contacts I have noticed that there is a possibility (in the Edit Mode of the contact) to add a Facebook profile. So I tried to do this with a few contacts.

QuickTime Pro can't extract audio from muxed file formats (MPEG 1 or 2 and Flash).

wondering if any one can help? i am running windows 7 and i recently had trouble with itunes it used to open and work, when i recieved my new iphone itunes decided not to open any more i tried un-install and re-install and it didnt work i reset my laptop back to its factory settings and re-installed itunes it worked for that day then went wrong again. i have tried doing apple software update and it comes up with error and some numbers followed by cc. if i try and re-install itunes it says invalid right to use bonjour.

Why have I lost the data display on my thumbnails in bridge?
I had my thumbnails set to display capture info and file name. Everything was working ok until yesterday. Now they are just blank with on info. How can I get them to display the data again?

Hi all; i am configuring alerts for sending mails . i am on XI 7.0 SP 2.i am not able to find an option like internal processing in ALRTCATDEF settings configurations. Can this be the reason why mails are not getting send.
