Need Software of Oracle Workflow for Oracle 9i v2 (9.2.0.5)

Hi,
I want to download Oracle Workflow 2.6.2. Where is the software located on the Oracle download site?
What is the version of Oracle workflow that can be used (integrated) with Oracle 9i Release 2 (9.2.0.5).
Can I install Oracle Workflow as a standalone product.

The inventory file is showing (as last timestamp) the date on which I upgraded the EBSDEV database. So there is no corruption.
Besides - I am looking for some help here - not being told what is wrong.For some reason the oracle home you are looking for does not exist in the Inventory. I do not know of a way to easily add it back, but I do not think all is lost either. ;)
Since you have already upgrade the binaries of the other Oracle Homes you could copy the set of patched binaries to the Oracle Home that is not in the inventory. You will have to run the cat upgrade scripts on the four databases though.
Once you upgrade to 10g you can use OUI to clone one of the oracle homes that a appear in the inventory to same location of the missing home to add it back into the inventory.

    Raja,
    We're having some difficulty getting the StockQuote demo working with the latest OW4J Preview release. We get the demo web page to appear but are not sure how to set Owner, ItemKey, and UserKey such that we don't get the following errors when we click "Run Workflow". Any help would be appreciated.
    Cheers,

  • Oracle Workflow VS Oracle Approvals Management

    Hi,
    I am new to Oracle Apps. I would like to know the difference between Oracle Workflow and Oracle Approvals Management. I a bit confused. Why we need to have Oracle Approvals Management module if the same can be achieved through Oracle Workflow. Am I missing sometiing here.
    Thanks
    IB

    Hi
    I'll try to explain the difference. Workflow is the background process which is followed by the self service transaction. The workflow consists of a series of tasks or functions and exh function will return a 'result'. The routhe through the workflow process will depend on the rersults. For example, if the workflow task is 'validate input' and the result can be 'valid' or 'invalid', after this taks the workflow will follow either the 'valid' path or the 'invalid' path. Eventually, the workflow will reach an 'end' task when the tranaction is complete.
    AME is a process of determining approvers dynamically from the transaction data, or during the transaction. AME is called in different ways from each module in the e-Business Suite. In HR for example, it is usually called during the 'review' process. It will execute a rule based on conditions (which must be true). The conditions are in turn based on the values of attributes you define in AME. Effectively, you can define a business rule such as IF ORGANIZATION = ABC THEN APPROVERS ARE FIRST 2 SUPERVISORS IN SUPERVISOR HIERARCHY.
    AME is usually embedded into a workflow task.
    I hope that explains it in simple (relatively non-technical) terms!
    Regards
    Tim

  • Oracle gateway for Oracle 10g DB on Windows 64 bit server

    Is there any place that I can find Oracle dateway for Oracle 10g DB on Windows 64 bit server? I can only find Gateway for Oracle 11g on Windows 32 bit server. Please help me to identify this. Thanks.

    yingkuan:
    Thanks a lot. The link tells the details. It seems that Oracle has not release Gateway for Oracle database 10.2.0.x on Windows 64 bit server. Probably they don't do it.
    So under this circumstance, if I want to install Gateway (32 bit) on Oracle 10.2.0.3 DB on Windows 64 bit server for Teradata, I probably have to install Gateway software in another Oracle Home, then configure it right. Please give more advice on this. 32 bit Gateway will work for 64 bit database?

    Hi
    Each time when you start your computer, you need to restart Oracle as well, its only with Windows XP. The process you have to follow each time is:
    Start -->Run and then type CMD to open command prompt.
    In command prompt type
    svrmgrl and then press
    connect internal/oracle and then press
    startup force and then press
    If you have any problem, then please email me, [email protected]

    jdbc_port="1522"
    jdbc_user="mvdemo"
    jdbc_password="7OVl2rJ+hOYxG5T3vKJQb+hW4NPgy9EN"
    jdbc_mode="thin"
    number_of_mappers="3"
    allow_jdbc_theme_based_foi="true"
    editable="true"/>
    <!--  ****  -->
    But it does not work.
    After use "sqlplus mvdemo/[email protected]:1522/pdborcl", it connected to the Oracle database 12c.
    Does anyone know it?
    Thanks,

    For 11.1.1.7.1 use the syntax for jdbc_sid, i.e.
    //mypdb1.foo.com as described in the README,
    - MapViewer native (non-container) data sources can now use database service name in place of SID. To supply a db service name, you will use the same jdbc_sid attribute, but specify the service name with double slashes in front, such as follows:
      <map_data_source name="myds"
        jdbc_host="foo.com"
        jdbc_sid="//mypdb1.foo.com"
        jdbc_port="1522"
      />
    For 11.1.1.7.0 use a container_ds instead.
    i.e. instead of using
    <map_data_source name="my_12c_test"
                       jdbc_host="mydbinstance"
                       jdbc_sid="pdborcl12c"
                       jdbc_port="1522"
                       jdbc_user="mytestuser"
                       jdbc_password="m2E7T48U3LfRjKwR0YFETQcjNb4gCMLG8/X0KWjO00Q="
                       jdbc_mode="thin"
                       number_of_mappers="6"
                       allow_jdbc_theme_based_foi="false"
                       editable="false"
       />
    use
      <map_data_source name="my_12c_test"
                       container_ds="jdbc/db12c"
                       number_of_mappers="6"
                       allow_jdbc_theme_based_foi="false"
                       editable="false"
       />
    In my case the Glassfish 3.1.2.2 JDBC connection pool definition was
    Property
    url  jdbc:oracle:thin:@mydbinstance:1522/pdborcl12c.rest_of.service.name
    Uncheck the Wrap JDBC Objects option in Advanced panel, i.e. the Edit JDBC Connection Pool Advanced properties page.
    Add a JDBC resource for that newly created pool
    Use that in mapviewerconfig.xml as above

  • Need to call SET ROLE for Oracle before running report

    Hi all,
    does anyone know how I can call SET ROLE for Oracle with Crystal Reports, before running report? I'm using Crystal Reports 2008 to design report (with Server Oracle connection) and Java Reporting Component to run report within a J2EE apllication. If anyone has any idea, I'd greatly appreciate as I'm in trouble.
    Thanks a lot.

    Just a thought...
    If your report's datasource was an Oracle stored procedure, you could call a function to set the role from that SP
    You would be in the same Oracle session from  Report --> SP --> Function, so the role would be retained

  • Linking Oracle Workflow with Oracle Applications

    Hi All,
    I have created a workflow file using Oracle Workflow Builder but dont know how to link it with Oracle Applications.
    Can someone help me by giving the step by step process involved to link the wft file with my oracle application.
    Thanx in Advance.
    K.K.Prasadh

    Hi
    Things ar not clear .
    If it is new workflow , then you will have to modify the application to use the
    workflow. I do not think you want to do that. You need to set up attributes
    of the workflow and create process using Oracle flow routine.
    If you want modify the existing workflow , You need the open the existing
    workflow and modify without changing the itemtype. If you create a new process
    in this item type the you have to assign the process in Account window
    in Oracle application.
    I hope this will help you.

  • Preferred  Oracle download for Oracle certification lab.

    My objective is to earn Oracle database administrator certification(s), Associate, Professional, Master. I own a new SUN SPARC workstation. I want to install Oracle on my SUN workstation. I will use the Oracle installation for hands on learning. From the Oracle web site, product editions section, the available editions are; Personal, Standard, and Enterprise. On the Oracle software download section I found Oracle9i Database, Oracle9i Lite, and Oracle9i Personal, in addition to other downloads. Of all the available products which download is the product of choice for building my Oracle lab.
    Thank you in advance for your guidance.
