How to upload file and put in BDC, need sample func specs to practice on...

Hi guys,
I do not have anything to do as of the moment, so I want to practice BDC on, lets say SU01. I have seen existing BDC programs here and I am confused as to why some are using read dataset, open dataset, etc. and others are not using them at all. Anyway, what I want to do is to create a flatfile and upload it then populate the fields in t-code SU01.
Also, if its not too much, I want some functional specs or requirements that I can practice here in the office:)

Hi,
In order to practice BDC you better go through recording first through the Tcode SHBD. There you provide the name for the recording and also the Tcode you want to use for BDC. Once you complete with the recording you press the back button and click on program button in the application toolbar. You get the complete program written to execute the BDC in both session method and also Call transaction Method.
BDC can be done using some flat files in presentation server as well as application server. Data sets will be used for loading the file from application server. For presentation server functions like Ws_Upload and WS_download will be used.
So if you want to create Flat file in presentation server upload the same through BDC you use functions BDC_open group for opening a session,BDC_insert group to insert the flat file and bdc_close group to close after completion of the upload of data.

I need some XP drivers for Satellite L350D-110 PSLE8E

Hello there.
I have now my brandnew Toshiba notebook. It comes only with VISTA, a very nice looking system.
But I want to use my notebook in our office too and then I need to install XP Professional.
XP is already installed, but i need some drivers to complete the system installation.
Here is screenshot from my hardware manager (hope it will work in this forum):

Or is there a chance to get a downgrade option from Toshiba?? Without a downgrade I cannot use my brandnew notebook.....

For the Satellite L350D and Windows XP there are all drivers available.
I think you forget to install two or more drivers.

Search for your model and you will get a list of all drivers. Then you can compare which drivers you didnt install yet.
As Jeffrey said, I should be the AMD Processor Driver, Realtek driver and the card reader.

Need power adapter specs for WRK54G

I was just given a model WRK54G wireless router that is missing the power adapter. Would someone who owns one of these provide me with the voltage and current output specs for the power adapter? Hi guys, been reading your forums, blogposts, etc and am getting more confused. I'm just a video girl trying to produce meaningful content through web videos for small to mid sized businesses and want to come over from the dark side.

All the current iMac models (both 21.5" and 27" with OS X Mt. Lion 10.8) will run CS4, 5.5 and 6 just fine. They will also run Final Cut Pro X just fine. Ditto for most any application you may want to use.
Below are some notes (specific to your apparent requirements) that may help you with your purchase decision:
Notes on purchasing a 21.5" iMac
All 21.5" iMacs come with 8GB RAM but you cannot add more later. I strongly suggest getting the maximum RAM (16GB) when you order the iMac.
The basic hard drive is a 1TB 5400rpm drive. It will work fine with Adobe CS but you will probably want the added speed of the optional 1TB Fusion drive for better performance. Some people will recommend/argue for one of the optional SSD drives instead, but they are very expensive and still only come in relatively small capacities - I don't recommend the SSD drives. Get the Fusion drive and spend any extra money on a good external hard drive for backup and/or extra storage instead of an SSD.
Notes on purchasing a 27" iMac
All 27" iMacs come with 8GB RAM and you can add more later, up to 32GB
The basic hard drive is a 1TB 7200rpm drive - it will be fine with Adobe CS. There are upgrade options to a 3TB 7200rpm drive or a 1TB or 3TB fusion drive - these will be fine also. There are also SSD drive options, but I do not recommend them. (Same comments as above.)
Notes on all the current iMacs
iMacs no longer come with built-in CD/DVD drives. If you need one, you will need to purchase the Apple Superdrive accessory drive ($79)
All of the iMac graphic processors (GPU's) are compatible with Adobe CS 4, 5.5, 6
It is very difficult to impossible to change or upgrade the hard drive later on, so don't buy low-end thinking you can add a better internal hard drive later.
Be aware that Macs always come with the latest (most recent) version of OS X. And OS X Mavericks (10.9) is due to be released soon (in the next month or two). There is no guarantee that the older Adobe CS 4 or 5.5 versions will run on OS X Mavericks. If you cannot upgrade to CS 6 in the near future, you may want to purchase now rather than after OS X Mavericks is released.
For what it's worth, I'd recommend the 27" iMac if your budget can afford it. You will appreciate the larger screen size and added capabilities over the years you will use the computer.

Need some design idea for a multi- thread concurrent system

I am totally new to this area. Hope ppl can give me some suggestion for the following project.
The project is using socket to deal with huge concurrent data. Server will send me more than 50K (maybe more) XML strings in a short time.
I need parse strings and save them in the data structure.
What I have done is using ExecutorService to deal with this problem. Unfortunately, it's already too slow even I don't save data into data structure.(data structure will cause synchronization problem, and make system even worse).
I was required to develop this software in a single machine and windows based OS.
Should I only use single thread to do this project? or some other strategy?
Can anybody give me some suggestion.

BPC Expertice Needed: some functional questions for Proto

I am working on a prototype and we would need to have some questions answered. Any hint is most welcomed.
BPF
- Are BPFs assigned to a user or can a user run different BPFs (i.e., one same user running one for budgeting and another one for sales data).
- There is a feature that allows to set the system to send an e-mail some days before running the BPF. We have reports of this feature not working properly. Has anybody managed to keep it up running?
- Can we set a BPF not to run until another BPF is done?
Security
- Can we set the security in such a way that we allow one user to input only cost data for one entity and at the same time only sales data for another entity? (what would be the best scenario for achieving this? having cost and sales data that in one same application or having them in two different applications?)
Reporting (mainly EvDRE, but could be otherwise if it is any better)
- How can we set a report so that the expansions are based on a value of a crossing (instead of a value in a property)? (i.e., having a dimension "asset" and having a report dynamically showing only those assets of purchase year superior to the Current View year? Using evdre's expansion properties? suppressions?)
- How can we have linked dimensions? That is, having set one member of a dimension we would like to have the members allowed for another dimension filtered (i.e., if one dimension is "shops" and another one is "products", having set shop A we would like to be able to offer a list with only the products available in shop A....similar case to the previous question, but this time for slicer dimensions instead of axis dimensions )

Can we set a BPF not to run until another BPF is done? We have thought about using a special workstatus needed that would be set up only in the second BPF, but maybe there is a better approach.

How can we get linked dimensions ? We would need to have in reports something like what there is available for journals through the Journal Validation Rules where having selected a member of one dimension (driver dimension) makes available to the user only a certain set of members of another dimension (driven dimension). Anyone implemented it? Maybe using VB code?

Need some suggestions for creating a software based digital I/O counter

Hi All
I've been using LabVIEW to sucessfully create a number of fluid level monitoring applications for oil well drilling. bear in mind that I'm a geologist not a software engineer so you may have to talk/type slowly .
I've been using the USB 6009 & 6008 for these aplications so far, they are however limited by only having 1 counter per DAQ. What i'd like to do (if possible) is use the some of the digital I/O channels as counters. The events i'm attempting to count are simple open/closed pulse signals from a micro switch. The micro switch is attached to a slow running mud pump which is sending up to 3 pulses per second but is usually running at 10-80 pulses per min. The slow cycle rate of these big pumps means I can't use a frequency aplication as they don't seem to work below 1hz.
I've tried to use a case structure to create a counter but I'm afraid I can't seem to get the logic right to turn the output into a counted output. Anyone got a suggestion for things I could try?

You described your situation quite clearly.
As you probably know the digital inputs on the USB-6008/9 are software timed, so you have some uncertainty in the time of any sample. Depending on your OS that uncertainty will typically be on the order of a few milliseconds but occasionally may be much longer.
To count the pulses in software requires a combination of several things.
1. You need to have a data acquisition method which is fast enough to capture each high and low state of the pulses produced by the pump. For software timed Digital Input a good way to do this is to have an independent, parallel loop which reads the input line rapidly and passes the data or transitions to another loop via a queue. This is known as the Producer loop in a Producer/Consumer architecture. Examples come with labVIEW. A 10 ms Wait in the loop is probably appropriate.
2. You need to convert the digital inputs (levels) into pulses or transitions to be counted. Suppose you want to increase the count by one every time the logical level changes from False to True. To do this you need to know the previous level and the current level. A shift register is one of the best ways to do this in LV. Add a shift register to the loop. Initialize it to False. Connect the result of the Digital Read to the right terminal of the shift regsiter inside the loop. When that Read is True and the previous value (obtained from the left terminal of the shift register) is False, increment the count value (which is also kept in a shift register) in the case structure.
3. You did not indicate what you are doing with the counts or what the pulses represent. Do you need to measure the frequency (or the period which is the reciprocal of the frequency)? Do you need to accumulate the number of pulses? Over what time period?
