Need some help, big time.

Aloha:
I went through the whole Airport Express procedure (about 20 times) and finally came up with a green light on my Airport Express. So I took it to a spot in my house where the signal from my Airport Extreme gave me two bars on my iPad.
I plugged in the airport express looking for the big increase in my iPad signal, but it remained on two bars. No increase in signal strength what-so-ever!
What might I have done to bring this about?
I am about ready to chuck the AirPort Express into the deep blue Sea.

Thanks for checking. Let's do some checking on your setup.
Open AirPort Utility, select your AirPort Extreme first, and click Manual Setup at the bottom. Click on Wireless just below the row of icons, and make sure there is a check mark entered next to "Allow this network to be extended". Jot down the exact setting that you see for Wireless Security here as well. Update to save any changes and allow 25-30 seconds for the AirPort Extreme to restart.
Temporarily, move the AirPort Express to the same room as the AirPort Extreme and allow 40-45 seconds for it to power up. Open AirPort Utility, select the Express and click Manual Setup. Click on Wireless below the row of icons. Your settings should look like this:
Wireless Mode = Extend a wireless network
Wireless Network Name = Name of your AirPort Extreme wireless network
Enter check mark next to Allow wireless clients
Wireless Security = Exact same setting as your AirPort Extreme
Wireless Password = Same password as the AirPort Extreme network
Confirm Password
Click Update and allow 40-45 second for the Express to restart. Unplug the Express and locate it for now at a point that is about 1/2 the distance from the AirPort Extreme to the area that needs more wireless coverage. Power it up and wait for the green light.
Then check to make sure that the Express is extending by using the same test earlier in this thread. Check your signal, etc. and please report on your findings.

You can't sync your music back from an iPod to iTunes, the transfer of music is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there is a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows posted in this thread: MacMuse - iPod to iTunes
If you prefer something more automated then there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the files from your iPod, this is just a selection. Have a look at the web pages and documentation for these, they are generally quite straightforward.

Make sure before you start that your iPod is set for manual update. If you are using the iPod in manual update mode, your iPod is safe from being accidentally erased when you connect to an empty iTunes after reinstalling your operating system. However if your iPod is set to automatically update you will get a message that your iPod is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press *No*. Pressing "Yes" will irretrievably remove all songs from your iPod. Your iPod should appear in the iTunes source list from where you can change the update setting to manual.
You can use a keyboard command to prevent your iPod auto-syncing with iTunes. While connecting the iPod to the computer on Windows hold down the Shift + Ctrl keys (on a Mac hold down the Option and Command (⌥ and ⌘) keys). This will stop the iPod from auto-syncing with iTunes and the iPod will appear in the source list. Wait until you are sure the iPod has mounted, and that it will not auto sync and then you can let the keys go. This may take between 20 to 30 seconds depending on your computer. Then go to Preferences>iPod and check the "Manually manage songs and playlists" box: Managing Your Songs Manually
Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync again.

Need Some Help Big Time please

Right one day when i was leaving my house turned the computer off as you do.
came back in turned it on and when it comes to the white apple logo to load all of a sudden a black screen appears with all this text.saying something about there being no debug information and the very last line it says is
panic:we are hanging here...
it completely disables my keyboard and mouse any suggestions to what is wrong?

Need some help frist time useing dreamweaver

There are only two ways to process form data -
1. Use mailto:[email protected] as the action of the form
2. Use a server-side scripting method to a) harvest the
form's data, b)
process it in some manner, e.g., enter it into a database, c)
formulate and
send an email to one or more email recipients, and d)
redirect the visitor
to some ending page
Method 1 is quite simple, and is also the least reliable. It
depends both
on your visitor having an email client already installed on
their computer -
this eliminates public computers, or home users without email
clients
installed (more and more it seems) - and on the installed
email client
responding to
the mailto call. It is not possible to use this method *and*
send the
visitor to a
thank you page as well.
Method 2a is the preferred method, since it eliminates the
problems of
method
1, but it means that you have to grapple with
server-scripting somehow (ASP,
CF, PHP, perl, etc.).
Method 2b would be to use some third-party form processing,
like

You would have to decide which of these methods is best for

Needing some help with Time Capsule Error. New to Apple Support and not super tech smart.

Can not get the MacBook Pro to back up to Time Capsule. Can any one help me with the following Error Please?
The backup disk image “/Volumes/Data/XXXXXXXXXX MacBook Pro.sparsebundle” is already in use.

We don't see that error much but it is about the easiest to fix.
Pull the power on the TC.. count to 10. Plug the power back into the TC.
Viola.. working TC again.

Try This:
1. Download Airport Setup for Windows and Install (v5.3.1.9)

2. Connect your DSL or cable modem to the Ethernet port on your AirPort Express.
3. Open AirPort Utility, select your AirPort Express, and click Continue.
4. Follow the on screen directions
5. If you have a cable modem which is also used for a phone line, you might have a problem with the cable modem assigning a valid DHCP number. This happened to me and unplugging the modem does no good because it has a battery. If this is your case, you will have to unplug the cable modem and remove the battery, then replace the battery, hook back to the Airport express and plug back in.
6. If none of these things help, then post back and I'll see if I can help you figure it out.

My airport problem has returned big time --Need some Help!!

Aloha once again:
I though that this was fixed by simply changing channels on my airport router, but that fix only lasted for a few days, but now it's back and even worse. Let me give you some background on this problem. Here's my original message concerning the problem:
I have my Airport Router connected to the Internet via DSLcable. I then tie my two computers into the internet via their airport cards. For about 6 months this system has been working just fine. Recently my desktop computer quit listening to the router and can no longer connect to the internet. It shows no signal strength and the name of the network on the Airport is not seen in the "connect to internet" panel. The same Airport works just fine on my LapTop and I am using it right now to get this message off to the internet.
I have fixed permissions, removed the airport card and cleaned the connector, the antenna plug and removed the system configuration folder from library preferences all to no avail!
This problem has been hounding me, intermittently, for over a year now What can I do to remedy this??? HELP!!!!

The suggestion to change channels, that came from this original request, worked but just for a very short time. Now I have to shut down my computer overnight to get connected and then it only lasts for several hours and the connection quits.
I thought maybe heat was a problem, but the last time it happened I opened the computer and played a large fan right on the card. This did not help. I shut it down for the night and it was fine the next morning for about 2 hours.
One new data point; if I turn off just the airport on my laptop computer overnight, that will fix the problem for a short time also.
Still need some help!!!

First, power off both the Time Capsule and AirPort Express.
Wait a few minutes, then power up the Time Capsule first, and let it run for a few minutes.
Temporarily, move the AirPort Express to the same room or close proximity to the AirPort Express and power it up.
If the Express powers up correctly, power it off again and move it approximately half the distance between the Time Capsule and the general area that needs more wireless coverage. Try to minimize obstructions like walls, ceiling, heavy furniture, etc as much as possible.
Please report on your results.

Please i need some help time capsule and airport express wireless extender

hello everyone and thank you for looking at my post. i do need some help. i am not very good at the computer programing so i might not use the right terms. i have a time capsule that i just replaced an old pc type router with. i have a fairly large house and can not get wireless signal to the one end of my house. so i went to the apple store and bought an airport express after being told how its just plug and play and itll setup with my time capsule and waala iv just extended my wireless signal. well it did not seam to work that well for me. i have done all the setting up that was told me to in the book to do and i still have get to get a wireless signal out of the express i then hooked up an ethernet wire from the express to my girlfriends macbook. and what do you know now im seeing the express in my airport utility. but then i unplug the ethernet and im back to not seeing the express. what am i doing wrong and what do i need to do. please help me if you can. thanks alot.

Let's double-check your base stations' settings ...
o If practical, place the base stations in near proximity to each other during the setup phase. Once done, move them to their desired locations.
o Open AirPort Utility and select the Time Capsule (TC).
o Choose Manual Setup from the Base Station menu, or double-click the base station to open the configuration in a separate window. Enter the base station password if necessary.
o Click AirPort in the toolbar, and then click Wireless.
o Choose “Create a wireless network” from the Wireless Mode pop-up menu, and then select the “Allow this network to be extended” checkbox.
o Next, select the 802.11n AirPort Express Base Station (AXn) that will extend this network, and choose Manual Setup from the Base Station menu, or double-click the base station to open its configuration in a separate window. Enter the base station password if necessary.
o Choose “Extend a wireless network” from the Wireless Mode pop-up menu, and then choose the network you want to extend from the Network Name pop-up menu.
o Enter the base station network and base station password is necessary.
o Click Update to update the base station with new network settings.

I got my artwork and saved it to my Desktop
Opened up Microsoft Paint and clicked on "File" and "Open" and found it to get it on the screen to resize it
Clicked "resize" and a box for changing it opened up
Checked the box "Pixels" and "Unchecked maintain aspect ratio"
Set Horizontal for 640 and Vertical for 480
Clicked on "OK" and went back to "File" and did a "Save As" and chose JPEG Picture
It came up "File Already Existed" and clicked "OK" (really did not care about the original artwork I found because wrong size)
Went to iTunes and on the movie right clicked on "Get Info", clicked on "Details", then "Artwork"
Go to the little box on the top left that shows your old artwork and click on it to get the little blue border to appear around it and hit "Delete" to make it gone
Click on "Add Artwork" and find it where you put the one from above on your Desktop and hit "Open" and OK and your new artwork is now there and all good.
Sounds like a lot of steps to follow but after around 5 or so you will fly through it. This worked perfect on my iPhone 6 Plus and I have artwork on my Home Videos now.

Triple-click the line of text below to select it, the copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):

In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Paste into the text box that opens (command-V), then press return.
From the folder that opens, remove any items that have the letters “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari, and test.
The "Silverlight" web plugin distributed by Microsoft can also interfere with PDF display in Safari, so you may need to remove it as well, if it's present.
If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:
~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again.

We have a set of oracle clients running on T5220 zones that need some help.
If, for example, I execute the query "select (all) from dba_objects", trace output reports 90% of the elapsed time spent under "SQLNet message from client".
Here are OS details for the clients: Solaris 10 5/08 s10s_u5wos_10 SPARC
Running "uname -a" from the client gives:
(SunOS bmc-ste-app 5.10 Generic_127127-11 sun4v sparc SUNW,SPARC-Enterprise-T5220)
Here are OS details for the dataserver: Enterprise Linux Enterprise Linux Server release 5.2
Running "uname -a" from the dataserver gives:
(2.6.18-92.1.6.0.2.el5 #1 SMP Thu Jun 26 17:44:55 EDT 2008 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux)
The RDBMS is 10.2.0.4
Again, please note, there is no application in the picture here. We are just running a simple catalog query (select * from dba_objects) from sqlplus. Why the wait on something like this? The wait also occurs when a different query is used (select (all) from SYS.COL$ where rownum < 50000). And it doesn't matter if I used the full client or the instant client. I still get the same high-wait.
We had thought - maybe this is a network thing - so we put a test client on the same subnet as the dataserver. This helped - but not enough. The wait is still way too high even with firewalls taken out of the equation.
We've also looked at arraysize, SDU, kernel settings. And we've spent time going over tkprof, truss and sqlnet-tracing.
Has anyone ever had to solve this HIGH WAIT ON CLIENT issue? Is there a work around or some tweak I'm missing.
Is anyone configured like we are (linux dataserver, solaris clients)? If so - did you see anything like this?

We have the exact same issue. Did you ever solve this issue? We have a t5220 and have just upgraded our 11.5.10.2 11i system on it from 9.2.0.8 32-bit sparc to 11.2.0.1 64-bit sparc. Things should be faster but arent, and our consultant has tracked it down to high wait times when the apps tier using forms connects to the database tier on the same box. So even though the t5220 is both server and client, there is something about the client sql connection.through TNS that his having trouble. Thanks for any information. We've also created an S/R with Oracle.
Note: I am well aware of the other issues with the CMT server series but this particular issue seems independent of the regular / known issues and remains a mystery to us. Other known issues with the CMT servers for SPARC:

You're just adding terms together. There's a series of them, so you need a loop. Each pass through the loop could add one more term. Note that each term has a denominator that is bigger by 2, and it's either added or subtracted (or to look at it another way, you're adding negatives alternately).
The main issue is how accurate you want it to be. You can't add the digits together forever. So you have to choose a stopping point. You can stop based on a time period (when you've run out of time, stop adding new terms) or on precision (when two subsequent values are close enough to each other, stop).
You'll probably want to use java.math.BigDecimal.
If you give some more details about the assignment I can make some more suggestions.
Why don't you give it a try and see how it works?
