Need some help here. cannot communicate with Fingerprint sensor

Ok, so I rebooted and was able to install the new sw ver. .245 ...but the T500 still cannot communicate with the sensor. It asks me to verify that the sensor is "ready" but give no guidance on how to do so in any of the help options or in the fingerprint reader manager or the device manager...so how can I find the sensor??? Very frustrating. Please help.

Need some help - here is the problem with I import.

I am importing a flv file. The flv file runs fine outside of Premiere. When I import it, the audio imports fine. The video however imports and displays when run at SUPER slow mode.
For example, when I run the imported movie, and let say all I am doing (my movie) is counting from 1 to 10 (via audio) and moving my mouse cursor slowly from the bottom of the screen to the top (visually), My mouse cursor will still be rising from the lower 1/4 of the screen while I hit 10 (audio wise) in number.
If that example is too confusing to understand, sorry... The video is just not matching the audio in speed and is sizeable different.
Anyone know what is going on here?

I'm not sure you're doing anything wrong. I had the exact same issue with Camtasia files that I was using for some tutorials.
Is there any way to get the source file before it was converted to .flv?
Do you have the entire Creative Suite? If so, set up a dynamic link to an AE comp that contains the .flv file. IIRC, that worked for me before I decided to edit the tutorials in AE anyway. The only potential issue I see is that the processing overhead for a 2-hour dynamically-linked comp may exceed what your system (or Pr) can handle.

when i take the Ipod out of the usb, i cut it on, and it's just a constant green light in the front that wont go away. it wont play, and wont have any affect on the buttons or anything. it's just a steady green light.
it wont show my battery life until it's cut off.
do you have any idea what's going on?
i'm so uber angry it isn't funny.
P.S.- I've had this ipod for like, almost a year.

Slide show in PowerPosint for mac 2011 on iMac will not open full screen mode on secondary monitor. Regardless of how I set the slide show preferences it always opens on primary monior with secondardy monitor having totally balck screen. Need some help if anyone else has run into this problem.

1) May I ask if anyone could just tell me how to actually create a partition like Windows do in Mac OS? I need the partition to do my backups and save some of my important documents.
2) Can we actually create a password to secure certain of my files so that anyone wants to browse it will have to enter the password? Is it possible to do that?
3) Im also trying to use Visor(i cant remember the name, it's a software to enable Mac to run windows without the boot camp) but i tried on my friend's Macbook, I cant use the MSN camera function... Anybody have any idea??? Or it's not compatible with the camera built-in.
4) I want to use "3D Studio Max", its it compatible with Mac OS??? and will it be laggish if i uses macbook 13" white?

With your external drive attached, open Disk Utility, found in Applications/Utilities. Choose your drive on the left, and use the Partition tab to set up the number and type of partitions. Partitioning will delete all data on the drive.

Don't forget that the Mac, just like Windows, is multi-user. You can set up a user for yourself and one for guests or specific people. Nobody can see anybody else's files. You can lock your computer when you go away from the desk if you want absolute privacy.
Or, you can create an encrypted disk image (also using Disk Utility) to store private files if you really want to stick with one user account.

Do you mean VMWare Fusion? I believe iSight support is included in the VMWare Tools - when you're running Fusion, there's a menu option to install/update those tools.

I believe it's Mac only, so you should check the Windows specs (RAM requirements, graphic card VRAM, etc) to see if you can run it within a virtual Windows on your Macbook.

Need some help here please

My computer was sent away for repairs and among other things (it was a very sick computer) it was reformatted. When I got my computer back I downloaded iTunes and plugged my iphone in. It recognised that i had a iphone and an account but I cannot do anything with it on itunes - I cant move the apps around, I cant put music on - nothing. If anyone knows how to fix this little it would be greatly appreciated.
P.S I am about as far from computer savvy as you can get so step by step instructions would be a bonus lol

By design, the iphone will sync itunes content with one computer at a time. Any attempt to sync such content with a second computer will result in ALL itunes content being first erased from your phone & then replaced with the content from the second computer. This is a design feature and cannot be overridden. The itunes content sync is one way: computer to phone. If you have photos that were synced to your phone or music ripped on your own that were not backed up, you will first have to extract them from your phone using third party software:

Once you've done that, do the following in the order specified:
1. Disable auto sync when an ipod/iphone is connected under preferences in itunes, which in windows is under the edit menu.
2. Make sure you have one contact & one event in whatever programs you use for that purpose on your computer. The entries can be fake, doesn't matter, the important point is that these programs not be empty.
3. Connect your phone, itunes running, do not sync at this point.
4. Store>Authorize this computer.
5. File>Transfer Purchases(To make sure all purchased content on your phone will be in your itunes library).
6. Right click in the device pane & select reset warnings.
7. Right click again and select backup.
8. Right click again & select restore from backup, select the backup you just made. When prompted to create another backup, decline.
9. This MUST be followed by a sync to restore your itunes content, which you select from the various tabs, You'll get a popup regarding your contacts & calendars asking to merge or replace, select merge.
That's as good as it gets without a backup of your itunes library.

Problems with the address book server! Really need some help here!

Hello everyone!
for about some time now, we're having some troubbles with the address book server located on our Mac Pro Server running SL Server. The connected clients somehow show multiple entries of groups, contacts and everything else address book can show. Sometimes you see one group or contact about 20-30 times or even more.
How can the addressbook server on SL Server be configured that these faults won't show up again. With this present, using address book server is useless. As far as my knowledge goes, I've tried everything I can. I deleted the address book account set up on each client, readded it, but no help. I stopped the address book server on the Mac pro, but no help either.
For your further information: we're connecting 14 clients. Moste of the rum Lion, three run ML and several iDevices connect via WiFi.
Please help me, as this really is frustrating!

Alright guys I need some help here with itunes and my music files

Basically, I've had two apple accounts in the past like 4 years. One day I connect my Ipod touch to my computer and downloaded an update from Itunes, not knowing that it erases all your content. I didnt have my music files backed up either, so I ended up losing over $300 worth of music and apps. Ever since then I never updated my touch, from the fear of losing my music. My question is how can I back both of these groups of files up and update my ipod without losing any of this content!? VOICE over UDP need some help here

I have attached a vi i have been working on and i am having a litte trouble. I want to do somethink like voice over ip. Currently i have a setup that broadcasts the data to a client. The mic is sent over udp to the clients speakers and vice versa. I ingore anything that comes from one's one ip address. This works just great, but the problem is i need more than 2 on at a time. I dont want to mess with entering specific ip address ect. At most i only want to have to enter ones own ip address as i have in the example.
When i start running 3 of these vi's on separate machines, i can probe the address which the data is being received, and it seems to only get data from one address, not two like i would expect. Is there a buffer being cleared when read or something? Any help would be appreciated.

Here is how I have dealt with the port problem in the past (albeit, not
in labview, but lets hope LabView's usage of UDP is consistent with
other programming languages ) is you always have clients connect to
a listen port on the server. You will have a thread watching for
incoming connections on that port. When one is detected, you
create a new "personalized" connection for that client to use to
communicate with the server. Part of this process involves
assigning that conenction a new port. This assignment is
dynamic--the server just assigns some random available port (so in
other words, you don't have to hard code one in).
So once a client connects, the server responds from the new port, the
client receives that datagram and checks where it came from (address
and port) and sends all future messages to that port on the server.
Does this make sense? I'm afraid I won't be much help with
anything aside from theory as I haven't actually played with the
network functionality in labview--all my network programming comes from
C and Java.
As to combining the sounds, I'm afraid I don't know. I think the
simplest system would be a half-duplex system whereby clients can only
send data when they are not receiving it (or rather, 1 person talks at
a time). I can understand how this isn't ideal. I wonder
how this is accomplished in other, similar voice-chat programs?
One final thought: I'm not sure, but I'd be willing to make a wild stab
in the dark and say you might run into bandwidth problems if you're
transmitting an unencoded (uncompressed) voice signal. This is
undoubtably more complex than you want to get, but you might look
around for ways to reduce the amount of bandwidth you're going to
use. And if you'd like examples of programs that will allow this
kind of chat go check out Teamspeak (http://www.teamspeak.org/) or
Skype (http://www.skype.com/). Both these programs allow
multiuser voice chat (teamspeak is intended for chatting with your team
in video games). Skype is a very professional, very high quality
voice chat program that works more or less the same, with higher
quality voice. Oh and both are free
