we are planning to develop application using BI and MDM .Currently we are focusing on sustainiability thing but want some more.
I just want you to share yr thoughts that help us developing more meaningful application .
Just share what basic problem you are facing or what you want to enhance or what new application you want on MDM and BI or any one of them.

Yes currently we are doing analysis on master data consolidation.
This is small idea.
We are trying to gather suggestion from the guys on community that what actually the problems they are facing and need solution on the problems above on MDM and BI or anyone.
Like we have a requirement give the supplier a application that accpet the data from supplier and before importing it to mdm first validate the whole file and then import it as there is no solution to first validate the the data provided by supplier that they are giving.
so we are working on this application also.
If you have any good idea that we can work on it then please share with us.

hi...i need some idea from someone to give some idea, advice or some excersice/toturial about " how to increase buffer size" on my final year project, i have try find the solution..but it's still have problem on my oscilloscope.VI. I was design my final year project using LabVIEW 8.6 and now i state my design for someone to refer my project.

Don't know if this is what you're searching for, and I don't know if there is such a function in LV 8.6, but I'm using LV 2010 and under DAQmx Pallete, you go to "Advanced Task Options", there is a function "Configure Output Buffer", in which you can configure the buffer size you want.

I do not know if this is the right place to ask for but i need some ideas and help.I need to work on a project to develop a Web Service, that receives data from 2 remote machines at different places , compare them and then return the result to first one.I am not a good java programmer so could anybody tell me please which part of the Java i must learn and what areother topics i must know.

Java Server Pages + Struts
and maybe even
J2EEJSP/Struts are probably unnecessary for this project. Other J2EE (a superset of JSP/Struts) may be overkill as well, depending your needs. I'd recommend starting here:

Need some Ideas, please

I would appreciate any suggestions or ideas as to any additional features I could possibly implement in my program. This is part of my final year degree project.
The program is intended to be an OO Documentation Tool and its main function is to convert Java source code to UML Class diagrams.
The UML Class diagram will include Inheritance and Associations.
Other features that I have decided to implement are:
- Facility to generate custom HTML documentation ( tables listing the variables, methods (including parameter details, visibility etc) etc for each class). I have also managed to convert the java source code into HTML, with colored keywords etc.
- facility to view the source code of each java class in the main program, alongside the diagram.
- facility to save the uml class diagram as a GIF and JPEG image file.
That's just about it at the moment, I'm scratching my head trying to think of other possible ideas.
One idea I have thought about is possibly extending the system to cater for C++ classes but I think that might turn out to be a little over ambitious.
Please please give me some ideas, I need them.. :)
PS. Can someone suggest me a good name for this program?
I was thinking of calling it VisualJ or ModelJ but I notice there are already existing programs with this name.

Need some ideas for programmatic/dynamic ADF BC using JDeveloper 10.1.3

Using ADF Faces 10g, I built a page which is used to upload an excel file to the server. The contents of the spreadsheet is further parsed into a 2 dimensional array. In addition, I am able to determine the database table information from the worksheet name (table name) and row 0 (column name). I can certainly construct a sql statement and attempt to insert this data into the database. However, I would like to create updateable business components to display it back to the user in a af:table and also utilize built in validation methods. Is it possible to create an updateable entity based vo where the underlying table/columns are defined at runtime? Ideas are appreciated.

SRM Monitoring Solutions/Strategy? New to SAP monitoring need some ideas..

I started a new rotation in my IT job. I am working with the SAP Basis team and my project involves developing a "monitoring strategy" for all of the current SAP solutions our company has implemented.
I would like to first identify possible areas that may need monitored. Does anyone have ideas or suggestions for me for developing a plan specifically for SRM? Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

you don't have to reinvent the wheel. Do you use SAP Solution Manager? With Solman you've got everything you need to monitor your solutions (CRM, SRM, etc....)....

Need some ideas on a Interactive Restaurant site

Here is the task that I am dealt.
I need to make an interactive touch screen kiosk survey for a restaurant.
What needs to happen:
It will have images of all ingredients.
The customer will walk up to the touch screen and click on various images that will be included in their custom sandwich.
So the images will then be added below like
Whole wheat Bread Image + Roast Beef + Lettuce = Customer gets to call it what they want.
Then then need to be able to tweet it and also the restaurant wants to keep a record of this and maybe the customers email address.
SO
What should I use to create this?
Should and can this be done with adobe flash pro?
Or is there an easier soultion?

Well I guess I thought that because I want to animation the page and have each item that was chosen move to the bottom of the page ; that this would be considered animating.
This is my first time here and I was hoping for a warm reception.:)
As mentioned in my post I want the visitors to be able to click on and image from the menu at the top portion of the page and when chosen have it move to a position to right above the fold and as other items are chosen to well also be animated to move to bottom before the fold.
So after clicked on from the above choices it would look something like this.
Whole wheat bread + Roast Beef + Provolone Cheese+ Spicy Mustard = MY CUSTOM SANDWICH NAME
Then the option to tweet this and have the link in the tweet go to a page with all the custom ingriedients.
Hope this is making sense.

ok, lets say I have a numc field with value 00000210012..
but i want to change it into type p decimals 2.. to be 2100.12.. how is this to be done? any FMs? for now, i get a round up value.. i.e. 2100.00

Hi,
It would not be possible to send a type N value to type P and expect it to take it with decimals. This is not possible.
If you would like to do that, you can divide that value by 100 and then send it to variable of type P.
DATA: DATN TYPE N,
DATP TYPE P DECIMALS 2.
DATN = 210012.
DATP = DATN / 100.

I am developing an application, the GUI part is like yahoo messenger.
So while execution,first the mainwindow appears, from that window1 appears, from window1 window2 appears.window2 has a textfield, that takes userinput(string) by textfield.getText() method.
My requirement is: how can I use the inputted textfield string to be used as label of a button in mainwindow.
I know the technique of returning the string from window2 to mainwindow,
but don't know how to use eventhandler, sothat during runtime only the mainwindow will be updated with that button getting the string from textfield of window2

I am lost and need some guidance

Please bear with me for being so explicit on my posting, but I don't have a simpler way. But need some ideas to create a simple, safe workflow that includes back up.
I only use my Int HD (350GB), to install and run Apps; otherwise, I use Ext HDs. I have approximate 150GB of images, and another 50 GB of misc. files.
I have the following Ext HD:
1- 2 TB FW/USB -got a great deal brand new
2- 1 TB FW/USB already in use. I have 1 Partition (250 GB) while I was using Tiger
I used it to create a Boot up Dr, backing up Apps. But no longer use it.
I have been having some difficulty with this drive; sometimes it doesn't get recognized or stays on. I will be replacing the electric power cord, and all cables.
I am not sure if I should invest the time to re-format the entire drive and eliminate the Partition or just leave untouched.
3- 500 GB USB - secondary copy (non-RAI)
4- 350 GB USB - third copy (off site)
I am trying to decide how to use these drives, and hopefully, without the need to re-formatting them, but who knows. In addition, I would like to take advantage of TM for my back up.
5 Which DR should I set up as my destination DR for TM?
If I use the 2 TB is it better to set as RAID 0,better performance but if one drive fails, I'd be SOL, right?
On the other hand RAID 1, the redundancy factor would increase overhead. Any suggestion.
I also use Lightroom and would like to know how I should set it up to back up LR (non-image).
And lastly, about TM can I be select a specific source files for back ups? And can I back up different source Drives?
Is there a way that I could prevent TM not to back up Cache, because it will increase the overhead

That's just plain wrong. Some of them don't seem to know much about Time Machine except the basics (and, to be fair, most Mac users don't have data on external drives, so it likely doesn't come up much). There are advantages and disadvantages to TM, as with any other app. One of the main advantages of TM is the very fast, hourly, incremental backups of additions and changes. This gives you an excellent chance of recovering a previous version of something that was changed or deleted in error (such as "Save" instead of "Save as"), or somehow corrupted.
And there really isn't any workflow, once it's set up (which is also quite easy). TM just does it's thing.
First it does a full backup of everything on your system (less some caches, system workfiles, logs, trash, etc.). That, of course, is a lengthy process.
Thereafter, it will do an incremental backup hourly, as long as your Mac is awake and the external drive is attached.
It automatically "thins" your backups, including when the TM drive/partition gets near full, deleting the oldest backups to make room for new ones.

Need some Direction on Streaming

I am developing a site where I need to be able to stream
video using FMS and then have it automatically record and update
the playlist on the website for viewing with no user interaction
required. I have Flash Media Streaming Server 3 right now. I need
