Need step-by-step help for Azureus and AirPort Express

Absolutely clueless on NAT Error and setup with Azureus, AirPort Express and System Preferences Sharing. Done a search here and Google it. Don't understand a single one of them. Download is a miserable 1 - 3 Kb/s and upload is IMPOSSIBLE. Even I tried turning off firewall in System Preferences, the results are the same. Help.

You need to enable Port Mapping on the Express for the port you're using for BitTorrents. You can determine the port number in the Azureus preferences. To set up Port Mapping, open up the Express's configuration in Airport Admin Utility, click on the Port Mapping tab, and add an entry with your computer's IP address and the BitTorrent port number in both the public and private port number fields.

hello everyone and thank you for looking at my post. i do need some help. i am not very good at the computer programing so i might not use the right terms. i have a time capsule that i just replaced an old pc type router with. i have a fairly large house and can not get wireless signal to the one end of my house. so i went to the apple store and bought an airport express after being told how its just plug and play and itll setup with my time capsule and waala iv just extended my wireless signal. well it did not seam to work that well for me. i have done all the setting up that was told me to in the book to do and i still have get to get a wireless signal out of the express i then hooked up an ethernet wire from the express to my girlfriends macbook. and what do you know now im seeing the express in my airport utility. but then i unplug the ethernet and im back to not seeing the express. what am i doing wrong and what do i need to do. please help me if you can. thanks alot.

Let's double-check your base stations' settings ...
o If practical, place the base stations in near proximity to each other during the setup phase. Once done, move them to their desired locations.
o Open AirPort Utility and select the Time Capsule (TC).
o Choose Manual Setup from the Base Station menu, or double-click the base station to open the configuration in a separate window. Enter the base station password if necessary.
o Click AirPort in the toolbar, and then click Wireless.
o Choose “Create a wireless network” from the Wireless Mode pop-up menu, and then select the “Allow this network to be extended” checkbox.
o Next, select the 802.11n AirPort Express Base Station (AXn) that will extend this network, and choose Manual Setup from the Base Station menu, or double-click the base station to open its configuration in a separate window. Enter the base station password if necessary.
o Choose “Extend a wireless network” from the Wireless Mode pop-up menu, and then choose the network you want to extend from the Network Name pop-up menu.
o Enter the base station network and base station password is necessary.
o Click Update to update the base station with new network settings.

Best setup for TC and AirPort Express

I live in a house at college with 5 people. All have wireless, but none have "n."
I want to set up TC to use with my MBA on a "n" network. But, I also want everyone else to be able to get online, and my iPhone as well.
I can use my AirPort Express for this.
What would be the exact steps to go about doing this? I thought I knew how to do it, but apparently I can't figure it out.
If anyone could help me with step by step instructions on how to do this, I'd appreciate it.

Welcome to Apple's discussion groups.
Generally someone only has the choice of one or two broadband ISPs. If service from Comcast is reliable, I'd go with them if they can supply you with a "dumb" (i.e., no router functionality) modem. That should make setup of an AirPort Extreme very simple.
Reliability is the most important thing. In theory you only need configure things once, but you're dependent on reliability every day.
By the way, is there a reason you posted your message in the section for "AirPort for Windows"?

Powerbook and Airport Express conflict

Hi there
I am trying to set up a Powerbook and an Airport Express on a Vigor wireless router. It seems that there are conflicts between the Powerbook and the AE that I can't put my finger on. I can set both of them up fine so that they both work, but then when I restart my Powerbook it is reading the IP from the Airport Express. From this point on I am getting a bit lost with regard to how to stop this happening. I know it has something to do with turning of the Distribute IP address function on the AE. I also run a PC (ethernet) and a Mac desktop (ethernet) which I need to access on my home network from the Powerbook.
Can someone please point me in the right direction.

I have already done that. That is the point at which
my Powerbook decides to lose internet connectivity.
DOes the PowerBook re-connect to the Vigor network?
If so does it have a valid IP address.
Is your Vigor router configured to use NAT and distribute IP addresses? It needs to be so that your PowerBook and Airport Express can be assigned an IP address by the router to share the single IP address assigned by your ISP.

To add system to solman:
Go to SMSY and define:
1) Server --> host name, IP etc
2) DB --> DB details
3) System --> R3, Netweaever etc, assign proper components, products
4) define and assign logical components for the system defined in step 3
5) generate RFC destionation to the satellite system
6) Provided you have the necessary trusted authorization and if the RFCs are generated successfully then your task is done. Else you'll have to troubleshoot.
Once this is done, you need to goto SOLUTION_MANAGER and define
1) new solution
2) make necessary inclusion in Solution Landscape Maintenance
3) include logical component
This completes the system setup for you.

I have a very similar problem with my AE! My MacBook, MacBook Pro & iPod Touch (1st Generation) all get a GREAT signal from our AE. BUT, our iPod Touch (2nd Generation) and new iPad (WiFi) get terrible signal strength unless we're right next to the AE!! Tech support at Apple is of no help! I'm ready to sell them all! This all started when we got the last OS update for iPod Touch/iPhone/iPad. So it must be a software issue not a hardware one..
