Need the opinion of experts: N85 with Bluetooth pr...

Really need the opinion of experts on this one.
My N85 was swapped after the complaint that the Music Library Menu opened automatically after pairing with bluetooth of the car (permanent failure). Another complaint was that video recording was defective (intermittent failure). Also, Nokia detected great consumption of battery.
My question is: the swap came back the same relating to the bluetooth problem.. Is this a case of bad repair or a case of low knowledge...? I'm wondering if the Music Library Menu is to open when pairing with car bluetooth (strangely)....

The Dell Precision 380 has 3 PCIe slots: a x16 (for video cards), a x1,
and a x4.  I'm sure there are other PCs on the market with
multiple PCIe slots.
Alternatively, the PCIe-8362 has TWO cabled PCI Express links.  So
you only need one slot in your host PC.  This may not be the best
solution, however, if bandwidth is your primary concern.  With one
8362 connected to two chassis, the total maximum throughput is 160
MB/s.  With two 8361s (each connected to a different chassis), the
total maximum throughput is 220 MB/s (110 MB/s on each).
Finally, keep in mind that the PXI chassis in your system are still
running at PCI speeds (132 MB/s).  Plus, this bandwidth is shared
across all devices in the system.  So the MXI Express connection
to the chassis may not be the bottleneck in the system.
Good luck!

  • Do I need the original disk that came with a mac or can I just buy the OS software??

Hi I recently bought a used macbook and the seller did not have the original disks that came with the computer. What I was wondering is if I needed to install a new hard drive in the event that mine fails, can I just buy a copy of the OS and install it on the new hard drive or do I need the specific disks that came with the machine??
    Thanks for your help

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
You say that you have Mac OS X 10.7.5, so if it came preinstalled, see that you can't reinstall it because it's registered to the old owner. Call Apple to get replacement DVDs
If you want, you can upgrade to Mountain Lion. See if your computer is supported > http://www.apple.com/osx/specs Open App Store and purchase Mountain Lion

  • Need the Nomad Jukebox Expert He

I Have just put a new hard dri've in my zen xtra, got the songs put on,everything was fine, but now my pc wont recognize my player, and when i play a song it has no info on the screen but the music plays anyways.any help would be appericiated.thanks in advance

Thank you for replying but I've tried every combination of driver and firmware available on this site, using firewire and USB connections, on 3 different computers. Via firewire the error message is "An application is interfering with the flash program...". Via USB the errors vary but?with older firmware it's "Your player cannot startup properly" or with later firmware it's "You cannot use this firmware upgrade with your player" . One combination of driver and firmware actually led to the ability to press an upgrade button but after the progress bar completed it said "Failure". If I start with the latest driver and then run the latest firmware, and I'm using firewire, the firmware installer says the existing driver must be replaced, which it starts to do and then BSOD's (same behavior on 3 dif PCs). After a reboot the same firmware installer reverts to the familiar "An application is interfering with the flash program." Maybe the BSOD prevented a clean install of whatever special 394 driver the firmware installer was attempting to install but I can't tell.
The JB3 worked fine with the first PC before I attempted to upgrade the existing firmware. The latest firmware upgrade wouldn't work so I figured I needed to use the recovery mode's option to erase the OS before it would accept the new firmware. That was a fatal assumption, though if this particular hardware rev was not intended to be upgraded Creative should publish that info rather than give people the ability to brick their JB3. At this point it's in permanent recovery mode, though with some drivers it will display the icons indicating it's linked to the PC.
These forums contain experiences similar to mine and the one published solution was to use the original v.0000 driver so I think I'm at that same point.

  • I need the opinion of an expert....original macbook air rebuild?

Is it worth replacing the display and putting in a new hard drive? Since I did not pay anything for it I thought it might be smart to put a SSD in it as well. I am techincal and can do it myself.

SSD and Display assy.       Your talking about replacement cost being 60%  of a NEW unit.
    ($420 + $220 [depending on SSD size])
    worth it, no
It doesnt contain a HD, rather a SSD, why do you think it needs same? missing?
sell it off for parts and buy a new one.
Also you didnt say how OLD an Air it is,...2010, 2011 model, absolutely not worth it

  • Do I need the "Apple Mobile Devices" program with just an iPod nano

I'm going through the list of programs on my computer (using the "Programs & Features" tool in Control Panel, on Windows7) and trying to figure out what's on here that I don't need & can safely remove.
There's one program called "Apple Mobile Devices Support" (that's what the Control Panel utility calls it, I think it's also called "Apple Mobile Device Service") I did some google-seaching to find out what it is, and apparently it's needed in order for iTunes to connect to iDevices such as iPods & iPhones. I couldn't find a very clear explanation of it, but as far as I can tell, it might just be needed for some kinds of devices, like iOS devices. All I have is an iPod Nano, which is one of the few existing Apple devices that *isn't* iOS. I don't have an iPhone or iPad or iPod Touch, etc.
Can I use iTunes as normal to manage my music library, download media, manage my iPod library/playlists/etc, without having the Apple Mobile Devices Support program? Or is it needed for connecting iTunes to ANY device, including a simple iPod Nano?
(BTW I connect my iPod to my computer using a standard iPod/USB cable)

    It's a 4th generation IIRC
Yeah, I'm pretty sure that one does need AMDS for at least something.
(I know there's an article around somewhere which gives the precise generation at which point AMDS is used by nanos ... but I just can't remember which particular article it is. I keep finding it only by accident on those occasions when I do find the reference.)

  • Does the iPod need the Pod driver to work with XP and any iPod

I want to load iTunes 6 on 120 XP workstations. The problem tho is that I do not want my users to connect up their personal iPods to the company's computers. The purpose is so that they can gain access to the iTunes music store expressly for work purposes.
If I continue down this road and install ONLY iTunes 6, if a user connects their iPod will it communicate with their iPod?
Disabling the USB ports is not an option as I have other permitted USB devices such as mice and keyboards.
    Thanks....

You could try to disable the "iPodService" (and perhaps the "iTunesHelper" as well) on these machines. The iPod would still function as an external hard drive, as hudgie pointed out, but iTunes should not be able to upload music to the iPod anymore.
    Just give it a try.
    Alexander.

  • X needs the system to be booted with the mouse unplugged

    Hi,
Something really strange is happening since the first time I installed arch on my machine: as I start the X server, it begins running the mouse-wheel, even if I do not touch the mouse at all. It starts slowly and then it accelerates over and over. It is really annoying since I see all my desktops flashing all around the screen, cannot see web pages cause they auto-scroll upwards and neither can use any kind of menu..
Today I stated that if I start the computer leaving my mouse unplugged, then start the X server and plug the mouse in, it works properly.. I think it is some kind of mouse detection issue into the driver but do not know how to handle it.
I re-installed the whole thing about 5 times because of this, at first It started occurring after an upgrade, but other times the problem occurred almost randomly..
I think this is an arch-only related issue, since I used ubuntu, gentoo, and windows with no problem at all..

    please post /var/log/Xorg.0.log

  • My new Iphone 6 will pair with Range Rover but the phone will not work with bluetooth

Does anyone know if Apple is resolving this issue?  The Range Rover service people don't know how to resolve this.

I Have the same issue.    my phone worked until I updated to v8 software on iphone 5.   Now it won't pick up contacts and I cannot make a hands free call while driving.    My car dealer Taggerts of Motherwell have said the Range Rover software is not up to date and the phone won't work properly until it is.

  • HT204378 2 iOS8.1.1 devices can't connect via BT "Using Keynote Remote with Bluetooth" - HT6112

I'm unable to get to iOS devices to connect via Bluetooth for Keynote control.  It's described above under the heading "Using Keynote Remote with Bluetooth".  Am I missing something?  I see the article mentions iOS8 so I know it's been updated recently.   I also see that this hasn't worked in the past.  Curious that the articles suggests it can be done now.
    I have 3 iOS devices all 8.1.1.
    iPhone 5
    iPhone 5s
    iPad 3rd Gen
    Thanks,
    Russell

Just talked to Bose and learned the solution.
Reset the speaker ....hold down the bluetooth button until you hear a tone. Delete the Bose in the Bluetooth Device directory on the iPad. When it is automatically rediscovered it will connect.
    Worked for me .....

  • Does 6th Gen iPod Nano need the Nike + Sports Kit?

I have the Nike+ sensor with my Sports Band. To use it with the new 6th Gen Nano, do I have to get the sports kit? Or is this feature built in like the iPhone 3GS and 4? The attachment to the new nano will make the form factor ugly.

    Hi toffeepup,
As cocon said, you will need the receiver. Here are some of the references...
Based on the iPod nano Specifications page it looks like you will need the Nike + iPod Sport Kit (with the receiver) for the new nano.
From the bottom of that page, under "Which iPod are you?" it says, "Nike + iPod support".
Compare that to the iPod touch which says, " Nike + iPod support built in".
    Also, from Rock and Run
"Then connect the receiver to your iPod nano. iPod touch, iPhone 3GS, and iPhone 4 include built-in support for Nike + iPod, so no receiver is necessary."
Note it does have a built in pedometer, and based on the Features page you can upload that to the Nike+ website. Not sure if that's enough for you.

  • Does iPhone SDK support the feature of data transfer via Bluetooth or USB?

    Hi,
I'm developing a application in which I want a feature for data transfer either using Bluetooth or USB.
Does iPhone SDK support this feature of data transfer via Bluetooth or USB?
    Please help me.
    Thanks.

The SDk doesn't deal with BlueTooth or USB. Your only option is wireless data. (WiFi, 3G, etc)

  • 6303 Ford Focus Sony DAB with Bluetooth Phonebook ...

    Hello
First message, so sorry if I am in the wrong place.
I am trying to connect a 6303 classic to the Ford Sony DAB radio with bluetooth which is all fine, but although my contacts are arrange first name, last name in the handset, the car displays them last name first name.  Looks like I have software V10.10.
Is there a way to sort this as its rather frustrating!
    Thanks in anticipation!

I too had the same problem until i got a tip to rename the iPhone in iTunes to a much shorter name. At first the was 'iPhone van Ronald van der Meer'. After i renamed it to 'iPhone Ronald' i could pair the iphone without a problem.
Seems to me that there is issue with long names
