Hi,
You can use the enhancement MM06E005 for this..
GO to CMOD..create a project and give the enhancement..
Activate the project..
GO to SE51..give the program SAPLXM06 and screen 0101 for header level data.
Press create..
GIve the screen type as SUBSCREEN..
In the layout give the field.
Activate the screen..Now you can see the field in ME21N

Creating button as per requirment. coding in method on action of that button.

Thanks for the help Priya... and one more thing is I tried giving the date in the header region with Date:<?xdoxslt:sysdate ('dd-MM-yyyy’)?>. is it necessary that the xml output that we get should be in a specific date to include this tag.... and can i use the insert page numbers in the template directly from the menus in word... does this work in the prod instance... pls help me

Why did 29 blend in the tabs with the header both in blue giving me this large ugly band of crap?

Why do you people think it's okay to change the looks and location of important stuff as you like without giving your customers notice or the option to keep their old look and layout? I just updated to 29 because in 28 when i click on a link in my pop 3 mail with Firefox as my default browser, the link stopped coming up in Firefox. But when I installed 29, it came with a couple nasty looking changes that I could not do anything about to get rid of except reinstall 28 and I guess NEVER UPDATE FIREFOX AGAIN to avoid this crap! DO I looked for "themes" and just saw more crap. ALL I want is the default one back. SO IF YOUR'E GOING go to the OPERA MODEL now for updates and start changing everything every update, PLEASE be AT LEAST courteous enough to warn us and provide THE OPTION to retain the look and feel of our last installation! Duh!
STOP CHANGING STUFF THAT DOESN'T NEED TO BE CHANGED JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN AND YOU THINK IT WILL BE PRETTIER BECAUSE, GUESS WHAT, YOU ARE NOT YOUR USERS ,WE ARE, but you don't consult us, don't provide us any choice in this and frankly it shows a supreme lack of respect for us, your users.
After all, WTF made you the arbiters of my (your user's) tastes? I happened to like the old look and hate that giant blue band I got in 29 blending in the tabs with the header.I QUIT USING OPERA years ago and switched to Firefox because of crap like this. Every update The jerks kept changing things moving them. so I only updated and update now when absolutely necessary for the browser to keep functioning and it was a frigging nightmare every time i updated opera. Things always moved all over the place, everything switched colors, location or went when I was perfectly happy with what I had, without ever giving me an option to opt out or change back. It used to take me hours after an update to find everything and get back the skin I liked, Finally I no longer could go back and Opera had become absolutely hideous so I stopped using it and came to Firefox which HAS BEEN GOOD ABOUT NOT PULLING THIS UNTIL NOW. So JUST STOP THE OPERA CRAP NOW!

and it was more than that, the tabs and backgrounds were blue as well and the names of the tabs were only visible with no traditional tab outline, and a whitish see through vague halo appearance of the traditional tabs when i hovered over one. This was nasty and clearly, though sporting a blue XP color scheme, having NOTHING TO DO WITH my xp color themes. In fact I could see that if i chose another xp color, it would all change to that. But then what do I do with the nasty non-tab looking tabs?

We typically see this when an organizations IT department is blocking the upload of images. Are you working on this at work? If so, can you try adding the image outside your companies network?

Add a logo to the header definition of an Interactive Report

Hi Folks.
Using Apex 3.1 and BI Publisher.
I am enabling an Interactive Report region to output to PDF & Excel.
Has anyone managed to add a logo to the Header/footer definition in the Print Attributes section?
Is it possible? The region definition does not understand simple HTML syntax.
If anyone would let me know if a) They've done it or b) It ain't possible that would be great.

Just reading through this thread. So perhaps a few comments might be helpful:
- Interactive report regions do currently not support Report Layouts, you're limited to the built-in generic layout and won't be able to include images
- You can add a button to your interactive report region page which could initiate the download of a report query, when doing this, you would get the result set of your report query not the interactive report region, so even if the queries are the same, you might have different filters applied to your interactive report
- You can in fact include static images in your RTF report layouts using the BI Publisher Desktop Word Plug-In and MS Word, so you can have logos etc in your PDF documents. But report layouts currently only work with report queries and classic report regions
- You can also include dynamic images in your PDF, e.g. based on images stored in a BLOB column, there's currently a character escaping issue causing some trouble with this, which will be fixed in 3.1.1, more on that once 3.1.1 is out (soon)
- the print server overwrite is designed to point to a different print server than the one configured for your APEX instance, not to point to a specific report. So if your instance has BI Publisher configured, but for a specific report you want to do some special rendering using your own code, you can write e.g. a JSP, Servlet, etc that's doing the rendering, and then point yout report to that URL
Hope this helps, we do plan to add support for report layout to interactive report regions in the next full release of Application Express

I need to add a link to the masthead area of the portal. That link needs to be able to print the content of the current page.
Ihave downloaded the com.sap.portal.navigation.masthead into the NWDS.
Can anybody please let me know where exactly to modify the code.
i am guessing i may need to use window.print() to print the page.

Step 1: Adding new link in the masthead
1. Rename the par file to your own namespace and import the PAR using eclipse
2. To add your link - modify HeaderiView.jsp appropriately
3. Build the PAR and export using Eclipse
Step 2: Create an iView
1. Content Administrator -> Portal Content -> Select the folder in which you need to create the masthead iView. Right click on the selected folder and "Select New From PAR" -> iView
2. Select the PAR file name created by you in Step 1 a
3. Choose "default" in Portal Component Selection
4. Provide the properties for the iView and save
Step 3: Modify Portal Masthead
1. Add the iView created in Step 2 to the Framework Page of your application
2. Remove the existing Masthead iView from the framework page and add iView created in Step 2 in the framework page.
3. Note that the position should be the same where the previous masthead is removed.
Logoff and logon with the user who is assigned the framework page - you should be able to see the new masthead with links
Incase you are changing the default framework page and default masthead ensure that you have a backup so that you can revert.

To answer the OP, you want a button on the menu that leads to a still image, or series of them, set up as a slide show. You can copy/paste the text in DVD Studio and then add formatting via the Text menu. (Highlight the text and right click to access formatting controls). Or do it in a graphics application using the appropriate video image preset.

You can implement the above requirement in both ways:
1.Using EO
2. Using PLSQL Packages.
Using EO's
Create the below : MasterVO, ChildVO, MasterChildVL
Create an advanced table with details region in it. You can refer DevGuide for more info. if you want.
Make use of advancedTable : addRow functionality. When you commit it.. data will be saved in both tables.
