Need to add another graphic card to be able to connect my 3x Apple Display 27" none thunderbolt
I bought a 3rd 27" Apple LED Cinema Display refurbished from Apple and i need a 2sd graphic card
My Mac already have 2x Apple LED Cinema Display connected with the Mini DisplayPort and working fine
The graphic card is an ATI RADEON HD5770 1024mb
i bought a new ATI RADEON HD5870 1024mb "mac firmware" and that card doesn't work on my model
Q: can i buy the exact ATI RADEON HD5770 1024mb and put on the side and plug my 3rd display with the Mini DisplayPort ?
Thank you for your inputs.
Denis
If you choose instead to adapt the DVI to your new display, this adapter, US$129, is suggested by the Mac [display] Cable Chooser:
http://store.apple.com/us/product/H5236ZM/A/kanex-c247d-single-link-dvi-to-mini- displayport-converter?fnode=78
The Mac [display] Cable Chooser:
http://store.apple.com/us/mac/mac-accessories/cables/cable-chooser
Mac or PC 5770 uses only one of the two aux power cables, so it can be doubled up -- but it is two slots tall, so it will block the slot above, and may not run at full speed when not in slot 1.

Will it be feasible to add another graphics card to my laptop G505
Hi, I have G505 59379534 model laptop purchased six months back. I am pretty satisfied with its performance. I wish to know whether it is possible to add another graphics card to enhance graphics.
sorry to be the one to tell you most low end laptops have fixed gfx cards and are not upgradable.
only a few high end laptops have the ability to be upgraded or added to

NEED HDCP-COMPLIANT ADD-ON GRAPHICS CARD FOR P6710F
I need referral to a compatible hdcp-compliant add-in graphics card for the p6710f desktop machine. This machine has a 250-watt power supply.
The first thing that you will need is a new power supply unit (PSU). The newer mid-level dedicated video cards require at least 400W to operate properly. I normally recommend at least 500W, but 600W is even better for possible future upgrades. I like Corsair products.
Here is a video card that should do what you need. The majority of video cards today are HDCP compatible. I suggest that you call EVGA Tech Support to see if there is a VBIOS update for the card to assure that it will work with a Legacy BIOS before you buy it. It requires at least a 400W PSU.

Is it possible to upgrade/add a graphics card to a Pavilion dv7-7000 laptop?
I've been doing a lot of research lately, to mostly no avail, about whether or not my HP Pavilion dv7-7025dx laptop can have a dedicated GPU added to it, as currently it only has the integrated Intel HD 4000 Mobile graphics card.
Mostly I've come across the unfortunate agreement that most laptops cannot have their graphics cards upgraded/swapped out, since the graphics card is soldered on to the motherboard. However, after talking to an HP "support representative", they said they believed it was possible to add a graphics card, as long as it is compatible with the HM77 45W UMA Motherboard my computer has.
Furthermore, after finding the maitenence and service manual online for my computer ( http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03221579.pdf ) it says that it could have come with switchable graphics, specifically the Nvidia Geforce 630M or 650M.
So I am wondering, is it really at all possible to add a dedicated graphics card, either by having switchable graphics or something else? Or am I stuck with the integrated Intel HD graphics?
If I can upgrade/add a new card, where would I be able to find/buy a compatible one, and would I be able to install it myself or would I need to go to a local computer repair?
My laptop is the HP Pavilion dv7-7025dx Entertainment Notebook.
It has an Intel Core i7- 3610QM CPU @ 2.30 GHz, 8GB memory, 750GB hard drive (5400 rpm).
I am currently running Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (64-bit).
Any other specifications can be found here:

Hi,
You can't add a dedicated graphics card to the system like this. The vga is soldered to the board so no way you can just plug it in like on a desktop. However, you can buy a new motherboard with the dedicated graphics card on it. It also requires a new heat sink.
Manual: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03221579.pdf
You need a 682040-001 board plus 682061-001 heat sink to have a dedicated graphics card on your laptop. Have a look on ebay for the part numbers.

Is it possible to upgrade/add a graphics card to a Hp Envy dv7 dv7-7243cl laptop
I've been doing a lot of research lately, to mostly no avail, about whether or not my HP Envy dv7 dv7-7243c laptop can have a dedicated GPU added to it, as currently it only has the integrated Intel HD 4000 Mobile graphics card.

It has an Intel Core i7- 3630QM CPU @ 2.40 GHz, 12 GB memory, 150 GB SSD hard drive, 1 TB hard drive (5400 rpm).
I am currently running Windows 8.1 Home Premium SP1 (64-bit).You're very welcome.
I am not a PC repair tech by trade or training.
Other than the replacement motherboard, and fan and heatsink combination, I wouldn't know if any other parts are required.
The parts you need are listed in chapter 3 of the service manual with the part numbers.
I also don't know if the boards come with the windows 8 product key included in the BIOS.
There may be multiple motherboards listed, so make sure you get the right one.
Same for the fan and heatsink. -

Graphics is built into the motherboard.
Can only upgrade with new motherboard.
Only a few laptops have graphics cards that can be up graded. "Like Alienware"
Good luck.

Do I need to upgrade my graphics card before installing CS6.....currently have Nvidia quadro FX1800 with CS5.......what card would be recommendation for a one man operation that would like to take advantage of the mercury playback engine?
I agree with the recommendations for the GTX 660+. I also second John's advice to completely uninstall the existing Quadro drivers before you swap cards.
And that Quadro FX 1800 never worked with MPE GPU acceleration even in CS5 because although it has CUDA capability, it has only 768MB total VRAM on the card. MPE GPU acceleration requires a minimum of 765MB of free, unused VRAM - but a 768MB card leaves only 749MB of free, unused RAM because the Windows GUI itself consumes nearly 20MB of VRAM. And even if the FX 1800 had 1GB of VRAM, it would be sluggish-performing by current standards because the FX 1800 is really based on a downclocked GeForce 9600 GT (with only 64 CUDA cores) with a narrower memory bus width (192 bits instead of 256 bits, both DDR3). -
If I buy an iPhone 4S (the unlocked and contract-free version), do I need to add a microSIM card if I just want to use it as, essentially, an iPod Touch? I'll probably get a microSIM card eventually, but I just need the wi-fi based technology now. Anyone know?
It will not do anything (other than call 911) until you activate it with a microSIM. Look into an iPod Touch instead.

Need info about nvidia graphics card supported with premiere pro cs5
Hi
I need information about nvidia graphics card supported with premiere pro cs5
If I have a computer(portable) with this video card or graphics card :
nVIDIA® GeForce™ GTX 285M with 1GB DDR3 Video Memory available in Single or Dual (SLi) Configurations
Microsoft® DirectX® 10 Compatible
is it going to support MPE in premiere pro cs5?
Regards,
VinayTo be clear:
You asked about supported cards. Here is a list of supported cards. Others on this thread are telling you how to make an unsupported card function to some degree using a method that is not advocated by Adobe. -

Want to install another graphical card on my Satellite A20
Hi there,
I want to install another graphical card on my SA20 - S103.
At the moment it is the standard Trident card that is running.
Is it possible to install a gforce or radeon chip?
If yes, which one would be the best?Hi Stefan,
Sadly I don't think it will be possible to replace your Trident graphics card with another because it is an integrated design which is using shared RAM. In effect your graphics card has been specifically designed to fit in your notebook and finding a similarly designed card from another manufacturer would be virtually impossible.
Unlike desktop or tower PCs where the graphics card is a separate device which can just be unplugged and replaced, the graphics chip in your notebook is usually integrated into the design in order to save space.

Just got a new monitor, and Firefox says I need to upgrade my graphics card?
When I open Firefox, my screen goes black, then when it comes up, it has a canvas texture. I can't see the pictures clearly, even my desktop looks like a painter's canvas (texture). The troubleshooter said I needed to upgrade my graphics card, however Windows XP wouldn't let me upgrade the card.

Qosmio X500-10V - need new or used graphic card chip
Need a new / used graphic card for my Qosmio X500 10V!!
Please contact!
greatings, KingsleyHi
Im not quite sure if you will be able to get only the graphic chip.
I guess the graphic chip would be sold in connection with an new motherboard.
However, the notebook seems to be equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce GTS250M GPU.
You can contact the authorized service provider in your country to get the compatible part. Not quite sure how much such GPU could be but I think it would not be a cheap replacement.
