Need to add flipping catalog to site

I am a newbie and have been tasked to add a clients catalog
on their site as a flipping catalog. The client wants to have a
image of their catalog added to a page. They also want the catalog
to open up as a flipping catalog. I have found several sources for
flipping books but I am a little lost on where these files will be
posted on the site. Will the original image be linked to a new page
that holds the flipping book?

Your best solution is probably Flash-based. But IMO it is a
horrible idea.
Talk about a usability nightmare. And does your client
realize what a
maintenance nightmare they will have? What will you have to
charge them just
to add a single product or change a single price?
If it was my client I would convince them to build a
traditional database
shopping cart as I am absolutely certain it will produce far
more sales,
although that partially assumes their product line isn't
something so
off-the-wall as to possibly benefit from a wacky
presentation. Barring that
I would say, "Thank you", followed by, "Goodbye". But that's
just me. I
refuse to build sites I am certain will fail.
Left to their own devices many (most?) site owners would
impose their own
likes, dislikes and preferences and usually severely impede
any possible
success. I think part of my job is to discourage that. "Don't
try this at
home. We are professionals."

Where is your site hosted? If it's hosted on MobileMe you can use SEO to edit the site online. No need to get it locally.
If the site is hosted with a 3rd party fpt client then publish your site to a folder on your hard drive, use SEO on it there and then upload the site to your server with a 3rd party ftp client.

From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Security tab.
Deselect: Block pop-up windows
If that box was not selected, you may have an extension installed to block pop ups.
Check Safari > Preferences > Extensions

In our site we are getting catalog data for all user including anonymous users also
Is catalog data shared for all users by defalult or we need to write any code for assigning them ?

In multisite environment ATG assigns catalog to profile based on site defaultCatalog property, we don't need to worry about it, ContextValueRetriever will take care of it.
If u have only one catalog, u don't need to worry about catalog assigned it profile, I am still searching how atg assign default catalog in this case, may be scenario.
If u have more than one catalog, u need to assigning catalog to profile.
        It can be done through many ways: scenario, servlet pipeline(ProfilePropertyServlet)
        U follow any thing, Ultimately u'll be setting catalog property in profile.
     Do following and catalog will be assigned to profile as suggested below
     atg/commerce/catalog/CatalogTools
                 defaultCatalogId=UR_CATALOGID
     atg/commerce/util/ContextValueRetriever
               userProfile= true

I also had similar issue couple of months back when I was trying to access a remote URL from a Windows service when the site does not exists in the server where service resides.
You cannot access a remote url (even though it is SharePoint server and also in same network ) from server object model.
SPSite can look in the current server only. here what is happening is SPSite will look for this in the current server DB and it is not finding this errror.
So please dont use ServerObject model for accessing remote sites. You can use Client Object model for the code /requirement you have stated above.
I wasted lot of time in finding a work around to make to work. It did not. So look for other options.

I am using Lightroom 3 and need to access a catalog I created with a trial version of Lightroom 4.

I need to access a catalog I created with a trial version of Lightroom 4. I am currently using Lightroom 3. Can someone help me find a way to get my images from this catalog? I don't want to upgrade at this point as I am running on a mid 2007 iMac and would need to buy new RAM, upgrade my OS, etc.... I would rather wait and spend the money on a new system when I'm ready.

I am working on a giant archiving project here in India. The main system here is a Mac G5 Tower at 10.6.8, and it's running LR 3.2. I have my MacBook Air here, running Mavericks and LR 4.4.1.
I want to take the archive catalog OFF of LR 3.2, put it on the Air, running 4.4.1 - then ADD metadata and keywords to the catalog images while on the Air and THEN re-install/import/export/etc the catalog back to the main tower LR 3.2 with out starting a huge problem of version/upgrades/etc. That way another person can be using the tower to scan while I do keywords.
I have only a week more here for this project. If anyone knows asap would be great. Thanks in advance.

MY requirement is i need to add 10 custom fields in the standard program RM06EN00 whos tcode is ME2N.
i have appended the fields in the EKKO table and they r now available in the dynamic selection screen of the report RM06EN00.
But i need to display this fields in the output and these fields should also be available in the change layout of the ALV report which is displayed when u click on the change button after pointing the cursor on the PO number.
I am looking out for any enhacement though which this requirement can be met. however my second option is to copy the standard report to a z program and modify it. but i think it will not going to be east and it may take a lot of time..
Need both advice and answers for this soon.

I want to submit SharePoint app to Office app store, I road the "Validation policies for the apps submitted to the Office Store : "http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/jj220035(v=office.15)
and the Point 5.9 mention:
"Your app for SharePoint cannot request full-control permission. Apps for SharePoint that request full-control permissions are not accepted in the Office Store."
I need to know if this point applied on site collection, web or List. because my app need to add files to hosted web, and it seem there is bug with "write permission" then I should use "full-control permission" on list.

I need to create a catalog that will have several hundred
items that can be seen on my site or downloaded as a pdf. Is there
a Dreamweaver extension or even a stand-a-lone product that builds
a catalog with a navagation system and also prints to a pdf? When I
make changes on the web, I want to update the pdf version at the
same time. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I'm currently running Mountain Lion on a 2TB, single partition hard drive.
I need to add a WinXP partition.
Mountain Lion's Bootcamp Assistant only supports Win7.
How can I add a WinXP?

I've attempted going back to Snow Leopard (which is the OS that came on my system when I bought it from Apple 2 yrs ago.)
However, when the install process gets to the point where I choose the disk to install SL on, the installer shows an exclamation icon over it and a message in the installer window says "Mac OS X cannot start up from this disk."
What!?!? This is my one and only startup disk and am always starting up on it.
Ideas?

Thanks Allan and Bob. You've both confirmed my suspicions and helped me decide on a solution.
Here's my theories:
1) In order to maximize efficiency, Apple has chosen not to support WinXP in Lion and later Bootcamp solutions. Otherwise, they would have to provide XP drivers for all of the hardware options available in addition to drivers for Win7, perhaps forcing them to supply and maintain several DVDs. I understand this thinking. I'm thinking that this may be why ML Bootcamp Assistant only supports Win7.
2) I then thought, well, I'll simply add an additional partition to the end of my HD using Disk Utility and install XP on that new partition formatted as FAT32. I'd then insert my XP disk, boot into that disk upon startup using the Option key and then choose this new partition for the install when the XP installer requests that I choose an install partition. The problem I discovered in this situation is that XP cannot see that last partition, precluding me from choosing it as an option for the install (Remember I'm installing onto a partition located at the end of a 2TB drive). Perhaps the XP installer was not built to even detect partitions located at this distance on such a large drive.
This seems to indicate that Bootcamp Assistant for Snow Leopard must provide some mapping scheme when it partitions these large drives that allows XP to see this distant partition during the install process.
3) Ok, I then figured, I'll simply run Snow Leopard's Bootcamp Assistant in Mountain Lion and create and install XP that way. Well, it turns out that SL's Bootcamp Assistant gets confused about the partitioned setup in Mountain Lion and issues a message stating "The startup disk cannot be partitioned or restored to a single partition". This seems to indicate that ML has altered the partition information on the HD in a way the confuses SL's understanding of it.
4) Finally, I attempted to simply re-install SL by inserting the original DVD supplied with my iMac into the drive, rebooting into that DVD upon startup and then installing from this DVD. Well, this produces the result I described in the P.S. in my first post in this thread.
Well, those are my theories at this point. Any further clarifications or rebuttals? :-D
I think I'll try either Allan's or Bob's (or both) solutions next.
