Need to Add Language in ECC 6.0

Dear All,
We have ECC 6.0 system and running for one year with two languages English and German. Now I want to add one more language to the system so that user can log in using new language. Plz let me know the required steps to be taken care before adding language. I need information regarding effors that we need for this activity. If possible, plz share a project plan for the same.

I am wondering if you are perhaps trying to type into MS Word? That app tends to be defective. If so, try selecting the text and setting the font to Mshtakan, which is a complete Armenian font that comes with OS X.

Writing language, you mean handwriting? If you already have russian in your phone, i believe setting that as the default language throughout the phone would also make it the handwriting language.

Need to add text with box dynamically

Hello,
I need to add a standard text created in so10 with a box at the end of the purchase order.
This should trigger dynamically if the condition is correct.
For ex : PO created in plant = 100 then this text should be displayed at the end of the PO page with a box.
DO I have to create a Window and then include this text created in so10 and then give the conditions?

Simplest would be define a new element in the main window like:
E OTHER_TERMS
/:   NEW-PAGE
/:   INCLUDE ZPO_TERMS_AND_CONDITIONS OBJECT TEXT ID ST LANGUAGE EN
In the pgm check your condition if satisfied then use
        CALL FUNCTION 'WRITE_FORM'
             EXPORTING
                  element = 'OTHER_TERMS'
                  function = 'APPEND'
                  window   = 'MAIN'
             EXCEPTIONS
                  element = 1
                  function = 2
                  type     = 3
                  window   = 6

Can anybody guide me how to install russian language in the system ECC 6.0 ?

Hi!
1. Get the Russian language package for ECC 6.0
2. Run se38->RSCPINST (Note 42305 - RSCPINST (I18N configuration tool), add language RU and press Simulate
3. Check the log - whether or not Russian locale is installed on your server's operation system. If not - install and configure it
4. add/change required instance profile parameters (transaction RZ10). Language key for Russian is R.
5. Restart application server.
6. Run se38->RSCPINST and press Activate. Check the log.
7. Run transaction SMLT. Add RU language and choose supplemented language. Supplemented language can be selected once!
8. Run import of the RU language (follow the instructions from the help.sap.com)
9. Once the import is finished, check log, if everything is OK run Supplementation.
10. After importing of the RU language, you must also import the language data in the Support Packages it you installed them before language.
11. Use the Russian language by mention RU in a sapgui field when login

I am familiar with this post yet I have two problems that it doesn't solve:
1. The reason we are not migrating from Local Dynpro projects to DCs is because of language issues currently handled by SAP. Our GUI is written in Hebrew and at the migration process all the text appearing on the GUI simply vanishes. So, at the moment let's assume we are working with Local Dynpro projects and not DCs.
2. The second problem we are facing involves from the first one: Since we are not working with DCs yet and since SAP doesn't support local Dynpro projects at the DTR, CBS, CMS even if I will develop such DC it will stay locally and I will be able to use it only from projects at my workspace, other developers won't be able to share it.
So, at the moment, even if creating a portal service is not the best solution it is the only temporary solution I see right now, unless you have other suggestions...

Need to add Polish option to character set menu in SAP Gui

Basis Gurus,
We have installed the Polish language on our unicode R/3 system and now
need to add it as a character set option in the Gui menu.
Menu Path:
Customize Local Layout --> Character Set --> (Missing Option for Polish)
I have searched OSS and online resources and have not found out how to
add an entry in this menu.
I did alter the file frontEN.txt in which the menu entries are built,
but did this not add the entry.
Can you please advise on the procedure to add this entry. Our
developers need it to view special Polish characters in their SapScript.

Thanks for the reply. I've read that document before, it's helpful with some of the I18N settings, but does not explain how to add a language to the "character set" menu.

Need to add arial unicode MS option

I need to add Arial Unicode MS to my console option in essbase version 11 to see unicode characters. Can anyone tell me how to do this??

Hi there, not sure if this helps... but here goes. To set up your cube for unicode, you have to enable your server to have "Permission to create unicode-mode applications".
Right click on your server in EAS, then choose -> Edit -> Properties -> Security -> Permission to create Unicode-mode applications.
After that, you can set any application to be in unicode.
To do that, right click your application, then choose -> Edit Properties -> General -> Unicode Mode.
Then I think in order to see the unicode members in excel, I think you need to install the language you want to see using Windows.
I've still got to look into that more... Anyway, hope that helps.

I feel like I bug u to much... but I needs to hide columns and rows so I needs to add a ID attribute to a TD cell tag or a report region, report.
I tried adding Column Attributes: CSS Class: myclass - it only affects the column text
do I use "Element Attributes" or "Element Option Attributes" if so how?

Do I need to add Base Station MAC address to list?

Hi, If I choose to use MAC address filtering on my Airport Extreme Time Capsule, do I need to add the wireless MAC address of the Base Station to the list of allowed MAC addresses??? I'd feel real bad if I set up a list, didn't include the base station's MAC address and then could never get in to the network again because I, in effect, locked myself out??? I doubt that address needs to be included but I would like some feedback on that.
Second, does the one MAC address filter list apply to the Guest Network as well if I should choose to turn it on??? If that was the case, I would just turn off MAC address filtering why guests were present.

No. Timed Access would be for wireless devices....computers, mobile devices, printer, etc., that are connecting to the Time Capsule. The Time Capsule does not connect to itself in this regard.

Sometimes, users lock themselves out by mistake by entering incorrect times for devices to connect, and they often forget that they can connect to the base station using an Ethernet connection and get back in that way.....since Timed Access only applies to devices that connect using wireless.

1. I need to add a field in Sales order.
Path for the same is as follows:
VA01> Goto> Header--> Accounting tab
2. The field will be a date field that needs to calculate date on.
a)create a new field. ex - zchdt (chq due date)
b)when customers enters value in Assignment,
i.e vbak-zuonr
after that trigger logic is
3.vabk-kunnr = knvv-kunnr
a)sy-date + knvv-kvgr2 (exclude sundays)
example - 14 sept + 30 days = 14th october
should populate value - 14th october i.e. field (zchdt)
4. This activity needs to be triggered before the sales order is saved.
kindly know whether this is possible or not.
