Hello ..
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Security tab.
Deselect:   Block pop-up windows
If that box was not selected, you may have an extension installed to block pop ups.
Check Safari > Preferences > Extensions

  • How to add a trusted site in safari

How do you add trusted site to Safari so you don't have to request a pin from a bank every week or so?

Non-Windows browsers do not have a concept of a "trusted" site. In Windows, IE and Chrome do not repeatedly prompt for credentials because they use the user's login credentials on the desktop. Other devices do not have this capability. Instead,
you need to use something like ADFS to authenticate users.

  • How can I add a trusted site in Safari to access our secure Sharepoint site from the internet?

My company has a secure sharepoint site that we access from the internet that requires our Active Directory logon. The Safari on the iPad does not allow you to add the URL as a trusted site and thus it prompts you for your username and password multiple times when navigating to various content.  The solution for full blown browsers is to just add the URL as a trusted site in your browser security settings.  Is there a work around for this or will Apple perhaps add this capability to add trusted sites to the mobile version of Safari?

  • Add Trusted Sites by GPO and allow the user to edit / add Trusted Sites manually.

    Hi All
    Greetings for the day....
I have task to add a few Sites in Trust zone, Where I am succeed allowing them by GPO. As user requested to allow him to add Sites to add / edit manually. When I applied the Security Zone : Do not allow user to add sites to disabled , but it not allowing.
    IE options greyed out.
    Need your valuable expertise.
    J D Tech Guy........

    Hi,
On local machines, this setting will be grayed out and users can’t change it, if we configured the setting from the following node:
User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Internet Explorer > Internet Control Panel > Security Page\
    Site to Zone Assignment List
However, we can try using GPP Registry to deploy the setting, for this will allow users to change the setting.
Regarding this point, the following two threads can be referred to as reference.

  • How to add trusted sites to group policy?

    I found this:
Trusted sites policies can be set at the computer or user level and are located at the relative path of administrative templates: \Windows Components\Internet Explorer\Internet Control Panel\Security Page\Trusted Sites Zone.
But in the right side of the Trusted Sites Zone, I did not see any option to enter the sites. I'm using IE7.
    Help is appreciated.

I have added sites to this exact location, I set them to apply to USERS Settings.   They never apply.  Now I know the policy is being applied since other settings in the GPO are applied and when I run a gpresult /z it shows that my policy was applied.
How come adding sites to the Site Zone Assign does not work?   I've tried on both XP and Windows 7 workstations too.
Here are some notes I had made on this topic (the steps are based around using Local GP Editor, gpedit.msc, but, apply almost exactly to Domain GP)
You can examine the registry keys & values on a machine, to see if the GP settings are applying or not.
Also, note that if the browser is already running in memory when the GP is applied, the browser UI may not reflect the GP settings until all browser sessions are closed.
    Local GP Editor
    [Path within gpedit.msc:]
    \User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Internet Explorer\Internet Control Panel\Security Page\
    or
    \Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Internet Explorer\Internet Control Panel\Security Page\
[Setting Name:] Site to Zone Assignment List
    [Steps to enable the setting:]
Double-click the setting name, to open the setting dialog.
    Click <Enabled> radio button
In the <Comment> field, type in a meaningful comment, e.g. <add site URLs to the Trusted Sites zone>
    Click <Show> button
In the <Value name> field, type in the URL pattern you want to *add* to the zone, e.g. <http://*.contoso.com>
In the <Value> field, type in the number which represents the browser zone you want this URL to be related to, e.g. <2>
Click <OK> button [to save and exit the table]
Click <OK> button [to save the GP settings]
Because this method uses the "classic" admin templates GP, any existing sites in the specified zone will be removed, and, the GP values will be applied, and,
*the user will be unable to modify the values via the Internet Explorer user interface*
If you need to add sites into zones, but wish to leave the user the ability to further modify the site-to-zone values, you cannot use "classic" GP, but may use another method such as GPP or IEAK.
Relevant Registry keys (when configured by the user, via IE tools, options dialog):
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\ZoneMap\Domains\microsoft.com\support
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\ZoneMap\EscDomains\microsoft.com\*.update
[EscDomains refers to the enhanced security config upon WindowsServerOS]
Relevant Registry keys (when configured by admin templates):
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\ZoneMap\Domains\contoso.org
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\ZoneMap\Domains\blah.org

  • Java Permissions Attrib in Main Jar and enterprise level Trusted Sites Linking

    Hello,
Not really a question, but more of a suggestion. We have a lot of enterprise applications that use java (a hundred or so). Since the new update ( 7 update 51 ), we are now finding out we have to add tons of sites to the Java Exception List because the Jar Manifest aren't updated with the required permissions attribute. We also have all the websites that we host at our enterprise on the Internet Explorer Trusted Sites list. My comment to this, why didn't they program java to have an option that would look to see if the site is trusted, and if it was, bypass the check for the permissions attribute, and if it isn't in the Trusted Sites, then and only then, you need to add the site to the Java Exception list. Since we already considered it trusted in IE, we obviously found it to be trusted in Java. Just my two cents. We are finding our-self doing double the work because of this new update. It's a great idea to check, but if we can bypass the check in the control panel, why can't we get an option to bypass it if the url is in the trusted sites list?
    Thanks!
    Dimitri H

  • In Internet Explorer I can set Trusted Sites, how do I do this in Firefox?

MS Internet Explorer browser, in the security settings, has the ability to set "Trusted Sites". Sites that I trust that will not harm my computer and are thus allowed to open pop-ups and other features that are needed to interact with the website.
I am unable to get data feeds when using Firefox and the help desk supporting my application requested me to add their url's as Trusted Sites in my browser. I am able to do this with the MS Browser but I cannot find an equivalent function in Firefox.

There is actually a setting in the prefs.js file that you can set that will add "trusted sites" to Firefox. Open a windows explorer window, browse to your local appdata directory via "%APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles". There you should find a subfolder with a ".default" title. Look inside for a "prefs.js" file.
In prefs.js, look for this line:
user_pref("network.automatic-ntlm-auth.trusted-uris"); then simply add the site you want to trust. i.e.
    user_pref("network.automatic-ntlm-auth.trusted-uris", "http://www.msn.com");
Open Firefox and viola, trusted site is good to go.
You can also do this in Firefox. Type about:config in the address bar, tell it "I'll be careful, I promise", then look for the entry:
    network.automatic-ntlm-auth.trusted-uris
Double click it and then add your site using http://<site url here>

  • Adding a Trusted Site through SCCM 2012

I've got a VBS script I need to run on all our work stations to add a site to the trusted sites in IE.  When I go to the share the script is on and run it, it runs fun and works like I want.  However when I try to run it as a program through
SCCM it fails (says installed) every time.  The site doesn't show up in the trusted sites list like I want.  I'm not really sure what I'm doing wrong.  I've tried a number of different combinations for the settings but still no joy.

i would create package for this requirement that adds the URL to HKCU only when user logged on with administrative rights (if user do not have admin permissions).
Make sure you set the program can run only when u user logged on and run mode
either user rights or administrative rights.

  • Adding trusted sites

In IE we have to add trusted sites in order to use certain web apps. How do I add trusted sites in Firefox? Also, how do I add a site to local intranet? In IE we have to go to local intranet and add our web security appliance IP address or nothing will work. I hate IE and really want to use Firefox instead, but until I can resolve these issues I am stuck with IE.

  • Error: "We're having a problem opening this location on file explorer. Add this website to your trusted sites list and try again"

    Hello,
When i try to open document library from SharePoint Production portal then it throws the specified error. However, when i open document library from SharePoint Development portal then it opens it in file explorer quite easily.
Production portal is on https whereas development portal is on http. Also, UAG has been configured on production portal.
Any idea where it's getting stuck up? Surely, this is not a browser issue on Windows 7 as it's opening the development portal's document library on the same machine.
    I've also done following things:
    - Configured Desktop Experience on production environment
    - Installed the hotfix for Windows 7

    Hello Sohaib.
Here is the list of causes defined here.Hope it helps you
The cause and the resolution methods are the following:
Cause: There is a missing Root site collection...
Resolution: Check and ensure,  that the “Managed Paths” are not changed in the web Application’s page, there is a (root) explicit for
this web application and there is a working Root site collection.
If for any reason this is not the case in your environment, you may try the following:
    - Apply (if not already) the following Hotfix to one of those clients:
Error when you open a SharePoint Document Library in Windows Explorer or map a network drive to the library after you install Internet Explorer 10 in Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2846960
Then, try to delete the cache of the IE browser before reproducing the issue. Check the result..
    - Try to temporarily disable the Antivirus and test again.
    - Check if you have installed the Desktop Experience feature on the SPS13 server.
    - Check if you face this behavior with all users, Or only with some specific ones, Or with all different client OSes..
Otherwise you will need to collect the logs to further analyze...

  • How do I add a trusted site to FIrefox? Is there a list someplace that I can update? This is not a Java issue (ie. being able to run Java on a trusted site)

I'm working at another company's site on their secure network. They use Microsoft's ShareCenter as a collaborative work environment and have told me I need to add their domain names (....company.com) to my list of trusted sites in Firefox in order to open the pages for their work environment.

hello live2ski, "trusted sites" is a concept of internet explorer that doesn't exist in firefox in this form, so i'm unsure what their instructions would be referring to.
you can edit certain permissions of a particular domain while you're on that page, right click on a blank spot and go to ''view page info > permissions''...

When I go to "checkout" on Borders.com, I get an error message. The message is as follows:
    [ServletException in:/ConsumerDirectStorefrontAssetStore/ShoppingArea/ShopcartSection/body.jsp] null'
I have tried refreshing, clearing cookies, and everything I can think of. Customer service told me it had to do with security settings, and that I had to add it to my trusted sites. I have never had to do this before, so I'm jsut wondering if this was true, and how to do it.
