Need to back up contacts but touchscreen doesn't work
I have a Samsung Brightside that the touchscreen doesn't work. i want to back up my contacts and can navigate to the Media Center by the slide keyboard but can't go any further
Have you had a chance to look at this troubleshooting page? If not, have a look at the bottom section that covers what to try if the message keeps reappearing: iTunes has detected an iPod in recovery mode - Use iTunes to restore
Towards the end it says "If after restoring your iPod, the message described above reappears, the iPod drive letter may need to be reassigned. See the "Change the Drive Letter" section of this document for steps to assign a different drive letter" which contains a link to this article: Windows confuses iPod with network drive

I connected my ipod to my Windows as usual and itunes told me "itunes has detected an ipod in recovery mode. You must restore this ipod before it can be ued with itunes. I did that but nothing happened. itunes displayed the same message again. I restored it again. Nothing. In the meantime, my ipod was absolutely fine. Restoring it wiped out everything of course. I then connected my ipod to my Mac at home. No problems at all! I synced it with Mac without a problem. However, most of my songs areon Windows at work so I need to get to them. i have iphone 4 and i sent it back to my country but it doesn't works in there! so they told to to contact apple and give IMEI number so they can unlock it. can you please let me know if there is anything you can help?
many thanksApple can't/won't help you. The only way to get your phone officially unlocked is to contact the carrier your phone is locked to & see if they offer official unlocking. Some do, some don't. So, if you want your phone officially unlocked, you need to contact the carrier it is locked to.
There is no other way to get your phone officially unlocked. -
I need to backup my iPhone, but it is locked and the touchscreen doesn't work
So I dropped my 3 year old iphone in the toilet and now the touchscreen doesn't work. I want to backup the information so I can transfer my apps to the new phone, but I have my phone locked and I cannot enter the code because, as I said, the touchscreen doesn't work. How can I back up my old phone?
If you back it up using the computer it normally syncs to, you won't be prompted for the passcode. If you have not been syncing it with a computer, then you're pretty much out of luck at this point.

It might be time to contact Apple for an out of warranty repair (actually replacement)

How can I back up an iphone when I haven't set the phone up for back ups & the touch screen doesn't work? The phone can receive calls (not answer) & the pictures & messages can be seen but the touch screen doesn't work to unlock the phone or select anything. We want to save/transfer pictures, contacts, and music to the replacement phone.
Try backing it up to your computer with iTunes. Connect it to your computer, open iTunes, click on the name of the phone in iTunes, go to the Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings and click Back Up Now. Also go to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases to transfer you apps and other purchased media to your iTunes library.

I've got a touch iPod and for about a week now it's almost been permenently zoomed into the screen? I actually cannot get it to zoom back out. I've tried pulling the screen out with my fingers but that doesn't work. It's zoomed in on my home pages, on my music, settings everything! It makes simple things like deleting a number from my password login extreamly differcult. Please can someone help?!?! Thanks.
Double tap the screen with three fingers to un-zoom.
Then go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Zoom and turn this OFF. -
How can I add a new Template to My Templates in Pages? I've read most of the discussions on the subject but it doesn't work for me. By the time I reach the Templates folder, I only see templates for Numbers and not for Pages. Need help, please. Thanks

Chez moi, il y en a une kyrielle en dehors des dossiers standards parce que je renomme wxcvb.template quasiment tous mes documents Pages et wxcvb.nmbtemplate à peu près tous mes documents Numbers.
Ainsi, quand je travaille sur un document, je ne suis pas ralenti par Autosave.

You are going to get nowhere quick with the 6.1 utility in Mountain Lion if this is the only OS you have available.
Look up how to install 5.6 utility under ML. At least then you can see printers. That is assuming you are trying to use USB.
Has this worked ever on Mountain Lion? Did you download the drivers for that printer for ML?
Plug it into a computer directly.. does it work? If it doesn't work locally it sure will not work via the network. -
I can't start AE. Ae always shuts down. There is a Problem with the "AEDynamiclinkServer". I tried everything. But it doesn't work. How do I get AE back to work?

ID on the Mac can produce reports that may (or may not) prove helpful in diagnosing the problem. I suspect this is something not directly related to InDesign, and maybe not to any of the Adobe apps directly since you seem to be having a problem in more than one. That often inidcates a problem at the system level.
Nevertheless, it won't hurt to try to gather the reports. You'll find driections for how to generate them, and to post them on Pastebin.com (then put a link to them here) so we can see what's going on at Adobe Forums: InDesign CS5.5 Not Responding

I just got the iPhone 5S. I am able to RECEIVE air drops from people, but I can't send anything via Air Drop. I doesn't seem to be communicating with others. I have Air Drop to communicate with my contacts, but it isn't working. Help!

uh my phone is broken and won't turn on. so I'm getting a new phone and need to back it up but i need to unlock my passcode to backup but my phones locked sooooo idk ;/
Nothing you can do, sorry to say. If it will not turn on there is absolutely nothing you can do now to backup what is on it. The whole point of a backup is to have made it before disaster strikes. Now, with a dead iPhone, all you can do is accept the loss of your data.
You will be able to re-download iTunes and App store purchases since they are tied to your AppleID, not your device.
Have you been using iCloud for backup? If you have, then you should have a backup in iCLoud you can use to restore your replacement phone with. iCloud backups are automatic (once every 24hrs, whenever your device is on wifi, plugged in and asleep).
