Need to Base64 encode a String but How?

Hi everone:
I have to Base64 encode and decode a String, but I haven't found any method or API to do it. Does anybody know where to find it? Some ideas about how to?

haven't found any method or API to do it. Does anybodyOh, one thing struck me, why do you need to Base64 encode character data? Normally Base64 is used to encode binary data. If you can represent the bytes as a UTF-8 encoded String, and all components can handle UTF-8, then you should be fine without Base64.
know where to find it? Some ideas about how to?

Well, you're a beginner wanting to do an advanced job, so
your feelings are
probably warranted (sorry to say!)
When he says you can "easily achieve" it with PHP, he's not
thinking of
someone who is just hearing about PHP for the first time! :-)
After a few
days/weeks of study, you can probably achieve it pretty
easily.
ColdFusion is generally easier to learn for most people, but
a file upload
facility will definitely still require at least basic
experience using CF
and online databases, and some time and study to write the
code (which needs
to have security measures built in, as Peggie ("Katsuey")
pointed out.

I want to get all the User Name in a string[ ], but How..... don't know

hi all
I have table in MS Access databse called Login with two coulmn (User, Password),
I want to get all the User Name in a string[] called USER,
(LIKE USER = {"AA","BB","CC",........"zz"};)
can anybody send me the code to get the USERNAMES form Login Table, i tried lots of way but bad luck
so plz someone send me a code.

Well, the biggest problem is that you don't know (probably) a head of time how many names are in the table.
So i'd first stuff them into a managed array such as ArrayList
So you'd
(1) Iterate over the resultset
(1.1) for each row call getString() on the user field
(1.1) call add on the ArrayList to add the string
(2) Call toArray on the ArrayList to convert it to a plain array
(NOTE: you will have to pass a String[] {""} arg as a parm to
toArray() to get the right type of array.)

PB has died and I need to return it ...but how?

My one year warranty is almost up and my PB has recently died. There is no power whatsoever. I have tried (in vain) to contact blackberry support and playbook support to find out how I return my PB to either have it fixed or replaced. I have emailed [email protected] just a few minutes ago too and am waiting for them to respond. Hopefully they won't tell me to buzz off as the other two "help" desks did.
Has anyone had to return their PB to RIM? If so, how did you do that and can you direct me to where the details are on doing that?

Likely, the battery is extremely drained and needs charging.
LEAVE it connected to the wall outlet charger (not the USB > PC charger).
Leave it connected for 24 hours... every 3-5 hours, press and hold the power button only for about 20 seconds. Eventually it will boot on up, but first must reach a certain charge level.
You will see the blinking red and perhaps yellowish LED light, and perhaps a symbol on screen of "no battery". That means the battery is drained, but it must reach a certain charge before powering on.
Email "[email protected]" is a dead end, it only directly you back here and other options such as calling your mobile provider support, which does not apply to the Playbook.

HT201363 I need to reset my security questions, but how? I forgot them and would like to change them.

I have got a new iPhone, and some itunes gift cards. but I try to buy some music via iphone and it ask for security questions. I have forgot both and would like to resey them. Is there a way to do this? Or can I just make a new account and transfer the money on the new account from the old?

If you decide not to provide a rescue email address, you can't reset your security questions and answers yourself later in the event you can't remember the answers to your questions. You'll need to contact iTunes Store supportto have your questions and answers reset.

I'm afraid you're going to have to be a little more specific. Is it that the unit doesn't turn off, when you hold down the power button? Or that it won't go out of Rescue Mode? What options have you tried in Rescue Mode?

Word ducuments in different languages/dictionaries to Pages - for Lion will need to transfer files to Pages, but how to handle texts in different languages?

As Lion does no longer support 'Rosetta" I will need to import my WORD files. I am using several languages (E, D, F, I) and would like to also write/check the texts before sending. I have not found any way to do this in Pages. Have I overlooked something? Thanks for guidance. Gottfried

I guess that you would get better results with libreOffice which is really designed to clone Office which is not the case for iWork.

Using the soap adapter I know that I can use an adapter module and base64 encode everything. Is it possible to base64 encode the attachments but leave the soap/xml payload as text/xml?

Do you want to have attachments of type base64, or do you want to have transfer-encoding base64? The latter is not possible with adapter modules.

Since Firefox 4, I can get a background image to work using base64 encoded, but not a local file, this worked in Firefox 3, how do I resolve this.

Using either of the 4 examples shown below, to have a background image display inside about:blank worked in Firefox 3.x (using Stylish add-on), however since Firefox 4, only using the base64 encoded version of images works. Is there any way to fix this so I don't have to encode every image I wish to use? Encoding the image makes the stylish file absolutely huge, & a real pain to keep encoding whenever I want to change the image.

UIImage to Base64 Encoded String does not matched with PHP Encoded String

Hi, I have converted an image to base64 string using the following
UIImage* pic = [UIImage imageNamed:@"closeBtn.png"];
    NSData* pictureData = UIImagePNGRepresentation(pic);
    [Base64 initialize];
    NSString * encodedString = [Base64 encode:pictureData];
The result obtained by this method and by converting the same image to base64 string in PHP or ASP is different. I am comparing the base64 string (testData) with online generated string from URL http://www.dailycoding.com/Utils/Converter/ImageToBase64.aspx

I am converting the PNG Image.Actually i want to post a image to PHP server via JSON. for that i am converting the image into base64 string and then sending JSON via HTTP. but when server receives a image data , it cannot convert and save it properl (blank image with 0x0 dimensions). I have compared the Base64 String created from xCode with some online conversion tools. and results are different. I have even tried with JPG images as well.
How can I get the Same Encoded String as PHP or ASP code can have?
