Need to block a website
I need to block a specific website. I am able to do it very easily on Internet Explorer but have found it very hard to do so with Firefox. I don't want to block all content, just this one website. How can I block it?

I think you misunderstood the "Ask a Question" as it is for posting a new thread on this Firefox support forum, not for some form of instant chat. Gave you links to such at https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/842208

Need help blocking poker website
is there any programs that will stop websites like party poker from popping up, i use safari and chrome to browse the internet, and when i think i've blocked these sites they pop up. Any help would be much appreciated
FrankThat's ok. Just wanted to make sure.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari / Block Pop-Up Windows.
See if that helps.
If not, try GlimmerBlocker. It's now compatible with v10.7 and free.

I've had good luck with GlimmerBlocker for several years. You can access the settings from System Preferences / Other / Glimmer Blocker. -
I need directions on how to set up the Blocksi addon to block specific websites
I need to block specific websites like Facebook and downloaded Blocksi but I don't know how to use it and can't find specific directions.
You can block specific websites by going to Blocksi options and entering each website on the Blacklist tab. If you have further questions, please consider joining the new Google Group at https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/blocksi-users

Help blocking certain website and IP on a SG 300-20 Small Business Switch
Hi,
I like to block certain IP and website on the SG 300-20.
Being new to Cisco Small Business switch I she tried with no positive result. Could someone give me some steps or maybe direct me where I can find a step by step resource.
Thank youHello,
Thank you for contacting us for support with your device.
Unfortunately what you are trying to do is not possible with any Small Business switch.
It is true that this switch can be used in layer 3 and it will be able to route your traffic on the inside of the network, but it will not be able to route your traffic to the Internet as it doesn't do any NATting.
If you need to block any websites you will need to configure it on your router or firewall.
Just to be completely clear, this switch won't be able to block any websites.
I hope this was helpful -
Block All Websites except for a few
I have a Linksys WRT54G router. I just got my 7 and 9 year old kids a computer. I need to block all websites except for about 5 - 10 websites that my wife and I let them visit. I don't think I can do this with the WRT54G router, but does anyone know how I can do it.
Thanks,
Skooter Columbounfortunately, on wrt54g routers, you can only block and not allow websites.
and to block websites, you can only put up to 4 websites which is what you do not want to do. cause you said you need to block all websites except for 5-10 sites. -

Is there a way to block certain websites from my computer?
A website keeps saying "This website is a threat to your computer" or something like that when I go to certain websites. I scanned my computer with McAfee and it said that the website posting that was a hazard to my computer. I can't find any antivirus software (for free) to download to my computer that works (my computer says there's an error when downloading) and when I looked at the page again it had something that said "..I.. " in it and the I was lowercase so i figured that an official page would at least have all that kind of stuff capitalized.
I just want to know how to block this website (or get a link to an antivirus download, for free, that actually works).

Just a matter of locating the HOSTS file and learning a little bit about how to add a domain or IP address you want to block to that file. -

Blocking one website. Is there a way to do it?
Hi all
I need help. I am addicted to one particular website and I am trying to break that addiction to it. I just find myself spending alot of time on there and will power is not working and I could be doing better things with my internet time. I did a search for this topic on this forum and there only seems to be one way to do it, but it also blocks other websites as well. From my understanding, in Parental Controls, you'd have to type in the "acceptable" websites and but this is more for children who you can restrict to only viewing a handful of sites. Is there a way to do the reverse, instead of blocking out the entire internet, I just want to block ONE DARN SITE! lol Please help if anyone knows how to do this. And no, it's not a pornographic, gambling or MySpace addiction. hehe.
Thanks guys for any advice
CJIt just occurred to me that maybe there is a program I can buy, like that one you referred me to Christopher, so that I can type in a subject, for example, gambling and it would block any website with gambling. Can I do that with Safari or any program that is cheap that I can buy? That would be so cool. At this point, I think there probably is no way to just block one particular website or URL. But if I can find a way to filter out certain websites, that would be cool and that would solve my problem as well.

Cisco 5510 blocking all websites except a few
Hello:
I see many post about how to block a single website, but I want to do the opposite. I would like to block all website except for a handful of them. Does anyone have any example configs?Hi,
Yes you should be able to:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6120/products_configuration_example09186a0080940e04.shtml
Of course, you will need to create some soft of regex that will deny all the websites such as *.com, but first of course permit the websites you want.
Another option will be using FQDN acls (Only supported on version 8.4.2 and higher) Here is the example.

Blocking all websites except a few + Skype and other chat programs
Hello,
Can you tell me how can i block all websites from a network except a few of them using a Linksys wireless router?
Also, i need to block several ports used for Skype and other chat apps.
I want this solution to work for the whole network. Not using windows policy or other ways where i'd have to go to every single computer.
Thank you. There's a way on how to do that but it depends on the model number of your device. What's the model number of your router anyway?

1) Padding is only placed on the top and/or bottom of the div. The elements within this div have padding on their sides. This saves you from any "box model math". Keep in mind, if you add any side padding or border to the div itself, it will be added to the width you define to create the *total* width. You may also choose to remove the padding on the element in the div and place a second div within it with no width and the padding necessary for your design.

Looking at your code I would suggest that you consider using one of Dreamweaver's built in, or downloadable templates as a starting point and work from there.
