Need to buy original iPhone

For work I need an iPhone. I have AT&T and all but iPhone's are pricey and I need a Refurbished iPhone original or a used one that works. I can't use craigslist or ebay. Does Apple have any refurbs you can buy? My work requires the original one for security reasons. No 3G, 3GS or iPhone 4.
Please help. Any good non-scam websites? Does apple have them. 4GB, 8GB, or 16GB would be good.

If I misunderstood, it's because it's never stated that this is a personal cell phone.
I honestly can't understand why anyone would require the original as opposed to newer models. It's the least secure due to its inability to upgrade to the current iOS version.
If cameras were the issue, it's easy enough to manage that by using policies. Disabling the camera is a simple matter if the organization is running Exchange Server. So simple, that many organizations do it by mistake...
To be honest, this whole thing doesn't make sense to me.

There are multiple reasons why the update failed, unless you can provide an error message/code that came up then nodbody will know.
Now your iPhone is in recovery mode and will now need to be connected to a computer with iTunes and restored to factory settings. This will install the update at the same time.
If you have a back up of the iPhone before the issue occurred then after the restore to fqactory settings you can restore the back up to the iPhone. If there was no back up then I'm sorry your data is gone.

Honestly besides the fact that one is white (attracts sun less) and one is black (attracts sun more) there is absolutely no difference over the battery drain. The storage size of the iPhone makes no difference on battery drain or the life of the battery. In all reality, buy which one you like better. I bought the black because I like it, and I bought the 32GB because I needed more than 16GB of space. So you should do the same, do you like the black or white? Do you need more than 16GB of space? Take a look at how big your music/video collection is that you plan on syncing with the iPhone, that will be a big determination on which size model you go with.

Anyway, when i was at the store purchasing my iphone 3g my brother mentioned to the att guy that his iphone (the original) always drops calls, it always did but he figured that nothing could fix it, the att guy told him that he should take it back to the apple store and they should give him a new one.
Problem is, he bought it on launch day, would they still give him another iphone? Would they somehow fix it?

If he contacted AppleCare to report this while his iPhone was under warranty with a case number assigned but there was no resolution, he would have a better chance at getting his iPhone exchanged under warranty. If he never reported this to AppleCare or at an Apple Store with a case number assigned, etc., his chances at getting an exchange under warranty at this point are probably slim to none, but it can't hurt to ask.

did you turn 'find my mac' ON your MBA BEFORE your it was stolen? if not, you will not be able to do anything to the stolen MBA

All I can say is that I REALLY like my Touch 4th gen because I have all sorts of capabilities in a small form: e-mail, web browsing, news, weather, books, magazines, etc. etc. Plus lots and lots of apps out there, including so many free ones. I use the Cloud a lot so it's great to have everything sync'd to my MacBookPro (e-mail, Evernote, Pocket, etc.)
It would be easier, though, to do some of this, especially magazines, on the iPad mini, but, again, I love the small size of the Touch.
As for the 5th gen instead of the 4th, the fifth has Siri and the 3D feature in maps, which are great. And I'm sure it's a lot faster in iOS 6 than the 4th gen. And cool colors!

Apple is the only source for unlocked phones in the UK. Be warned, the phones sold at Carphone Warehouse are NOT unlocked. They will ONLY activate with a UK carrier and will lock to the first carrier used.

In Regards to this, You possibly wont be able to get the contacts from the iPhone 4 unless there is a back up file on your computer.
The original phone would be disabled due to alot of attempts of the wrong passcode. If all your contacts are on the cloud at the moment, you would be able to just set the iPhone 4S up with iCloud on it then Turn On "Contacts".
This would be bring all the contacts down from your iCloud onto your 4S.
But you will only be able to merge your contacts with the cloud when your original iPhone either has been enabled or the passcode was entered.
If you have previously already had iCloud on that device and have contacts Turned on, you will be able to just enter the same Apple ID you used for iCLoud on your original phone and use it on your new one.
Your able to check what content your iCloud holds via www.icloud.com
If you are unable to get past the disabled screen, then unfortunately the device will have to be put into recovery mode and then restored via iTunes NOTE: This will delete all data.
