Need to carry forward absence quota

Dear All,
please help me....
i need to carry forward leave from last period and generate new entitlement for the next period, by keeping last period remain quotas to a certain time type (ie : 0099),
the leave period is 26 Dec - 25 Dec next year,
but why everytime i run function P2006 in PT60, system keep updating the data in 2006 to be zero (0) ?
ex :
-i'm running PT60 for period 26/12/2009 - 25/12/2010 in order to generate 26/12/2010 - 25/12/2011 absence quota
-all employee only have one abs quota data which is last period 26/12/2009 - 25/12/2010 with certain remaining quota --> PT60 always update this period's data to be zero everytime i run func P2006

For Quota Carry forward, please refer the
consulting note nr. 411854.
In this note you will be able to find a very detailed description of
the solution for your issue. More precisely the:
"Scenario 1): a positive remainder exists at the deduction end date
of an absence quota.
An example for this is an absence quota of type 'Annual leave' the
employee has not used up completely.
Possible procedures:
1.1) The remaining quota should be transferred to a new quota"

    as suggested by you i generated the quota for the 2010-2011. In IT 2006 i generated the quota from 01.04.2010 to 31.03.2011 & the number is 12 instead of 1
    whn i run PT_QTA10   the screen displays :
    Validity Period : 01.04.2010 - 31.03.2011
    the table shows both the quota for year 2009-2010 & 2010 - 2011 :

    does he above display mean my absences have been carryforwarded.  In IT2006 my quota shows as 12 only for the year 01.04.2010 - 31.03.2011 instead of 17
    Wher am i wrong?? Does this process need any program tobe created or a backend program support?? Or have i missed some configuration
    Can i get help in generating the quotas ?  for quota generation my base enitilement is constant - 12 & the relative position (end of validity interval) is 999 months. Can i get some help as to how to generate absence quota after creating absence & absence type?? it will be very useful. pls

                       I have a query related to Carry forward of quota to next year.
    For ex: Sick leave quota for this year is 30 days.
    Utilized sick quota is 15 days in this year. Remaining I want to tranfer to next year quota.
    Totally quota for next year should be 45 .
    Please tell me the field or configuration where i can carry forward the leave quota to next year?

    For the Quota Carry forward process you require two write two PCR'S and then insert them.
    Please let me know what is the Time Evalution (+ or -ve) that you are following i.e TM04.

  • SAPHCM PCR to Carry forward Time Quota Balances

    Dear Experts,
    My problem is my Time Quota Balances are not carry forwarding for the next year.  our Time Management is Time evaluation without clocktimes  - 9.  every year in Jan we run Pt60 for al the employees so the new quota is being automatically updated in IT2006.  but previous year balance is not getting carry forwarded. in this year.
    Last Year                    utilized              Balance
    16                                  8                        8              
    This year                                                Balance
    16              +              8                                  24, but it is showing 16 only.
    It should be as above.  but it is not happening.  I have checked Quota Generation Config steps.  I found everything is OK.
    Second problem is i kept Max Limit of the quota 90.  but sometimes it is showing on the payslib beyond 90 i.e. 110.
    The above 2 problems i am facing.  in my TM04 schema 2 Pcrs for Quota Balance and carryforward are there.  But i could not understand whether the PCRs are correct or not.
    Could any one please help me.  Its very urgent.  It has been a bigger problem,  without which we can not do FF settlements to the Employees and Encashments of ELs.  Your early response is highly appreciated.

    For 1st Problem
    Go through below PCR
    10 is Absence Quota
    1111 is time type
    1st PCR to read yearend Quota balance
    2nd iPCR to Update the Quota.
    Just remove this below mentioned part and once again rerun
    insert these pcrs as below
    actio  zm02
    quota
    p2006 zm01
    if we want call perticular quota then use p2006 function  orelse we can use actio
    second problem
      we follow as per ravi kumar
               or
       we  can maintain constant table , the remaining balance  comparision with constant value as per scenario

    Requirement:
    Absence Quota  for 20 days generated from 01.01.2012 to 31,12.2012, deducted 4 days on december 2012
    but absence quota to next year i.e from 01.01.2013 to 31.12.2013 is showing as 20 wherein actual should be 16
    Followed Woods documents at Carry Forward Absence Quota but failed
    Configuration of Time Types, PCR and Schemas as folows, request your kind attention at earliest as its business critical
    Configured a constant at T511k
    Created two time types
    For Quota
    For carry forward
    PCR as follows

    Hi Anil,
    I just had a quick look at the PCRs and I think some things are wrong.
    First of all ZCMO controls if it's the last day of last month or not. If it is the schema will go through ZCFL.
    ZCFL reads the remain part of quota type 20. Please make sure you quota type is correct. I mean it's 20. I assume quota type is correct. PCR checks if remain of quota is equal or great than 20 then it put 20 into time type 0904.
    Until here you will have remain part of quota at last day of last month in time type 0904.
    Now you need a PCR to control if the date is first day of first month (01.01) reads value of 0904 and through a quota generation rule of V_T559L generate quota.
    I don't understand what ZCFT is for!

  • Carry Forward of CL to PL(Privilege Leave)

    Scenario is like we have introduced New Leave policy -Sick leave=12/year &Privilege leave=15/year acrrued as1.25/month.
    I need to  carry forward last year 2009  CL  to this year 2010 PL.
    Quota maximum for CL=15 daysfor 2009 ; need to  add this to PL quota in 2010 ;
    Please suggest should I create rule/ maintain feature LVDEF/something else.
    For next year Carry Forward Max=30( Configured in Selection Rule as Total Entitlement=30)

        table of daily time wage types (DZL) to table ZL.

        from the variable balances table of the processed day (DVS) to table VS
        of the day balances and table CVS of the cumulated variable balances.
        After the cumulations are complete, the internal tables TES, DZL, and
        DVS are made initial.

  • Absence Quota Accruals  from days to hrs

    Hi Guys,
    I need to change the Absence Quota Accruals process in SAP ERP ECC 6.0 system from Accruing time in days to hours. All necessary configuration changes are to be made in the development system (including Time and Payroll Schema changes for absence quota accrual, year-end transfer of unused balance and payout) and upon approval be transported and tested to the Quality Assurance system and Production. All past historic/archive transactions and records must be changed and reflect the absence quotas in hours.
    Pls. let me know the steps for doing the same.

    Go to the table V_T556A and change days to hours for your quota.
    Ccheck the deduction rule attached to the absence(which is related to quota) and change the units to hours.
    You may have to run the time evaluation in  the update  mode from the retro date (past date).But I wouldn't suggest you to run the time eval from the past date untill it is tested regurously in the QA system,because retroing may cause some issues.

  • Best Practice for carrying forward monthly forecast data??

    Dear all:
    I am in the process of building demo for monthly forecast. I have 12 forecast categories for each period of the fiscal year. However, I am wondering whether there is a best practice to carry forward data in current forecast (month) category into the next forecast (month) category, besides running a standard copy at every month end.
    For instance, let's say I am in June, and I would forecast in a category named "JunFcst" for the period 2010.06, 2010.07, 2010.08... 2010.12. For the example purpose let's say I enter a value of 100 for each time period.
    When next month comes, I would select "JulFcst", which is supposed to initially carry the numbers I have entered in JunFcst. In other words, 2010.07 ~ 2010.12 in JulFcst should show a value of 100. There is no need to carry forward data prior 2010.07 because these months have the actual already.
    I know I can easily carry forward data in JunFcst to JulFcst category by running a standard copy data package, or perhaps use some allocation logic. But if I choose this approach, I will run the copy or allocation package at month end manually every month, or create/schedule a 12 unique copy data packages for each month respectively. Another approach is to use default logic to copy the data on the fly from JunFcst to JulFcst. I am less inclined to this because of the performance impact.
    Is there anyway to create just one script logic that is intelligent enough to copy from one forecast category to another based on the current month? Is there a system function that can grab the current month info within the script logic?

    Which business rule (i.e. transformation, carry-forward) do you suggest? I looked into carry-forward but didn't think it will work due to the fact that it carries forward within the same category. Also, because we currently do not use carry-forward, we do not have a sub-dimension created...

  • How to Carry Forward Beginning Balances for CTA

    Hi Experts,
    We're doing a multi-currency AppSet wherein I need to carry forward the ending balances of the cumulative translation adjustment to it's beginning balance the next year but the problem is:
    1. CTA resides only in USD reporting currency(not in LC).
    2. My carry forward rules applies only to local currency. I've tried to include USD but when I run the default formula wherein I've included my currency conversion rule, the beginning balance for CTA zero out. I've tried removing the ratetype on CTA, replace it with blank, AS_IS,NOTRANS so as not to translate that account since it will be converting from a blank opening balace in LC(since CTA is only calculated in USD) to USD so it's reasonable that it would zero out, but still it's trnaslated.
    Any idea how to work this out?

    Hi Marvin,
    Set your CTA account ratetype to something like "HISTX" or whatever you want, add this ratetype to RATE dimension and in your business rule, set this rate type to [AS_IS].

  • How to carry forward subtotal to other page in smartforms

    Hi all,
                My requirement is to calculate the subtotal of a particular page and to print that subtotal
                at the end of each page.And this subtotal has to be carry forwarded as the first item of the next page(say page2).
                And again  at the end of this page(page2) I have to print the subtotal and needs to carry forward this subtotal again on to
                the first item of the page3..
               My problem is I am doing it in a table.I am calculating the subtotal and displaying the subtotal at the footer of the table..
               In the footer again I am redefining table work area values with the text 'Subtotal' and subtotal Amount so that thinking
               that it would print as first line item on the next new page....
              But the problem is I am getting subtotal as 2'nd line item on each new page instead of first line item of each page.........
              Can anyone resolve this issue.........
              I dont want this subtotal to be printed on the last page since I am getting Total of all these subtotals.....

    First define the global variable for subtotal & grand total
    In the first page display the table data normally  and if you dont want to print the headers of the table check the condition in the header  AT START OF TABLE
    calculate the grand totals  (Ex. g_tot = g_tot + wa_vbap-kwmeng)
    Ex.    page1   layout   (Note :  next page as page2)
    Header window
    main window
    final window
    In the final window  create an alternative node  (in flow logic )
    for alternative node put the condition as 
    sfsy-page  =  sfsy-formpages 
    if true
               print the data as   TOTAL   &g_tot&
    else (False node)

    Hi experts,
    I want to detrmine if the Absence record’s (PA2001 rec) deduction from date (PA2001-BEGDA) and absence to date (PA2001-ENDDA) are permissible for the validity period of the Absence Quota record (the PA2006 rec).  If the quota’s deduction from date, PA2006-DESTA, is greater than the PA2001-BEGDA, we then need to identify this absence quota record for change and change the deduction from date, PA2006-DESTA, to be the same as PA2001-BEGDA.  Store the vital info from the absence quota record in an internal table and record the new date that the deduction from date that needs to be changed to.  The changes will be made via a BDC session.
    Please help me out...

    I think, you could use data function of a formula.
    You will have to create a RKF for closing balance of previous month.
    Try the SUMCT<Closing balance of prev per> in the opening balance column of this month.

    However, determining all opening balances by carrying forward closing balances in the query, I think, is not a good idea, since this would mean that you have to run the query from the timepoint the data was first reported. This means querying and reporting a lot of data. I would rather suggest you to have another Cube may be over this DSO and do the carry forward in modeling.

    I'm using PS with Investment Management.
    Now I need to carry forward the budget from 2008-09 to 2009-10 fiscal year.
    I have the following transactions:
    IM:
    IM27 - Open New Approval Year
    IM27_CLOSE - Closing Old Approval Year
    IMCAOV - Budget Carry forward
    PS:
    CJCO - Budget Carry forward
    CJCF - Commitment Carry forward
    Can any one please tell me what is the hierarchy for the above transactions?
    Do I need to carry CJCO, CJCF and then IM27, IM_CLOSE & IMCAOV? or first I need to carry out for IM and then do for PS?
    What is the flow? Please advise me on the above.

    Dear experts,
    Need some help in Budget carry forward of IM & PS.
    My scenarios is I have a Investment program in the year 2008 and under that program i have 1 project, which is having a duration of 3 yrs.
    After completion of 1st yr i.e., 2008, i need to carry forward the remaining budget to the next year i.e., 2009.
    But here I am getting a problem.
    Please go through the below steps i followed:
    1st in Investment Management:
    1.  Tcode IM 27: here I am carrying out this transaction with the existing Investment program and approval year, system automatically prompting the next approval year in Target investment program.
    In settings I selected 1st 3 options.
           Copy program structure
           Carry forward meas / app req
           Carry forward budget values
    If select the 4th option i.e., carry forward planned values system is asking for version, which i have not maintained for the Investment program.
    then executed the transaction
    system giving messages investment program copied to xxxx/2009
    budget values were carried forward from xxxx/2008 to xxxx/2009
    measures / approp req. were copied from xxxx/2008 to xxxx/2009.
    2. In T Code IM27_close.
        Investment program: xxxx
        Approval year: 2008
    in settings selected the following:
    Carry forward meas / appr. req
    Carry forward budget values
    in selection of measures / approp reqs for transfer to current approval year selected:
    All meas / appr req.
    then executed the transaction

    My doubt is the budget for the new year 2009 should be the Distributable value of old year 2008, why system is picking up the distributed value of old year 2008 to new year 2009?
    Please clarify me the above..

  • Carry forward of residual budget to next fiscal year

    Hi all,
    We are trying to implement Funds Management.  As part of year end closing, we need to carry forward residual budget of a particular budget type which i have created by using program FMMPCOVR.  However, the standard SAP residual key figure does not seem to be providing the correct figures to carry forward.  It throws out all budget types, and all entered budgets, not taking into account the consumed budgets as well.  I have thus created a new key figure which is simliar to the standard key figure, but change the budget type under the "budgeting data" tab to restrict to only the budget type I'm interested in.  It is still not working though, results are the same.  I'm not sure if I have created the key figure correctly.  Can someone please advise?
    Simlilarly, I have also tried to restrict the Funds to carry forward by only selecting a particular fund type by indicating in the "Restriction of FM Account Assignments" on the selection screen of FMMPCOVR.  The filter doesn't seem to be working either.  It throws out all funds of all fund types.  Can someone please adivise on this too?

    May I ask how did you manage to do some validation in the budget workbench?  Is there any user exit/badi that we can implement?  We wanted to do some validation on the Fund and Fund Center values which users will enter, to prevent them from entering the wrong combination.  In our business requirements, for every Fund entered in the budget workbench, users can only enter a particular group/range of Fund Centers.  Currently, the system allows free entry of any Fund and Fund Center combination.
    We are using Funds Management ECC 6.00.
