A few years ago, before i was 18 and before i had my own credit card, Mom set up an itunes for me that we both shared but had our own computers. Now that i do have my own credit card and above age 18 (and had a bit of an argument with the mother) I've been givin an ultimatum to get my own account.
Is it legal to do this? Will i still be able to access my library on the new account or will i need to repurchase ALL my songs (about $500 worth)?

If you will be keeping your current iTunes library on your computer, yes, but all the previous purchases will contain the old account's username. The iTunes Store staff may let you redownload them from the new account.

You only have to clone your mac when using certain cable modem. You don't clone your mac when using dsl.

Why do you need InDesign CS (that is version 3) or InDesign CS3 (that is Version 5) to install InDesign CS5.5 (it is version 7.5)?
If it is an upgrade and asks you to input your serial of an older version, you have to get an find it. No one will help you here. If you can't find it and if you have not registered it, you are out of luck. You will have to spend money for a new version.

They need to be registered under different Apple ID's. The initial Apple ID is set when you first start the phone up. If you've already registered the phone to the iTunes account, back it up to your computer, and then have iTunes do a factory reset. Go to www.icloud.com, log in with your current Apple ID, select "Find My iPhone," choose the iPhone you want to dissociate from your primary Apple ID from the upper left, and then click the little circled X ("remove").
When you start the phone, it will have you go through the setup process again, at which time you need to create a unique Apple ID for the device. You can then restore it from your iTunes backup to get back your apps and other settings.
Whenever you use the iTunes store, use the login information (Apple ID and password) that you were using before. Basically, the second Apple ID that you created is purely used for accessing iCloud services, which includes synchronization of contacts, iCal events, and other such things.

Make sure you are signed into iMessage and FaceTime with your current ID. If they are signed into the old ID, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and Settings>FaceTime, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with your current ID.
Then temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. (You should not have to verify the old email account so it doesn’t matter if you no longer have access to it.) Now go to Settings>iCloud, turn off Find My iPad and enter your current password when prompted (even though it prompts you for the password for your old ID). Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll (unless using iCloud Photo Library). When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Sign Out and choose Delete from My iPad when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign back in with your current iCloud ID and password (your data will download back to your device).

Form prints from one account, but not from other on same computer

With Brother 5040 printer and latest driver.
I have a form in a Panorama V db file that will print properly from my "Test" account, but not my main account on the same machine.
When I try to print this form from my main account I get a the intitial Print Dialog, then brief flash of the preparing to print. But it never makes it to the printer. It was working fine up until yesterday. I made no system level changes.
This is a word processing form in PanV. Other forms in the same file print fine. A word processing form in a different file also has developed the problem. Obviously, there is some connection to Panorama, still looking for troubleshooting solutions.

Look for a problem in your user library. Try removing printing preference and other printing-related files from the library, as well as the Panorama plist. Then log out and back in, and see if it prints properly.

This disc can’t be verified and might be unreliable. Try again using a new blank disc (error code 0x80020063).
Originally I thought it was the old Moutain Lion DVD drive issue (but have had the drive recently replaced by Apple), so I tried creating a new account, which worked.
In the old account I have reset SMU, Pram... but no change.

How much is the charge ? Have you added or changed your credit card details on your iTunes account ? If you have then each time that you do so a small temporary store holding charge may be applied to check that the card details are correct and valid and that it's registered to exactly the same name and address as on your iTunes account - it should disappear off your account within a few days or so.

Why don't you use the option "Get a Free Apple ID" to create a new iCloud account with a free @icloud.com email address for all the iCloud service like Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Reminders, Notes Storage & Backup etc.?
This would be the easiest way.

Safari (7.0.1) is non-responsive (spinning pinwheel) upon start up. It will work in temp user account but not in my main user acct. I tried reinstall via comman-r prompt on start up but the problem persists. Any suggestion for reinstall or repair?

Safari is non-responsive after intitial start up. Before it can load the homepage (google), it will hang and give a perpetual pinwheel until I force quit the program. Safari works in temporary user account but not in my primary user account. I have reinstalled osx via the command-r upon start up and the problem still persists. Thanks for thinking about my problem. I've already experimented with creating a new user, a co-administrator. The programs don't crash when that account is running, just as they don't crash when the guest-user's account runs. So it seems that the problem is limited to the default user's account, which is the one that was running when I installed the updates to the OS and the firmware. Another clue is that the programs that crash as soon as they are launched are *probably* the ones that were open at that time in that account. Yet deleting Saved Application States does not keep the programs from crashing when next launched.
So the mystery continues, but these additional facts will help with the diagnosis, I hope.
