With that particular message, I'd first try a repair install of iTunes.
Restart the PC first.
If you're using Vista or 7, now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "iTunes" and then click "Repair".
If you're using XP, head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "iTunes", and click "Change". Select "Repair" and click "Next" as per the following screenshot:

got a bit of a problem, i had my ipod good to go, but my laptop is a siv for picking up wireless so I went on my gf's which is a japanese computer to go on so i could start up genous to give it a try, after I noticed it switched everything to japanese except the main icons and stuff, how do I switch it back to english...help me please

I need to change the language rotor on my iPad from british English

Why will the language rotor on my iPad not change from British English to Irish English or any for that matter? I am partially sighted and rely on VoiceOver daily. I can hear the sample but it will not change permanently. Please help me get this changed.

Are you sure your rotor is set on Language? Perhaps it is set to something else (such as words, headings etc)?
If not that, maybe you don't have the other options selected in the rotor option - in which case Steven Tanus has described the solution for.

It is not possible to change the language for a single application on a permanent basis unless you open the app's Package Contents folder and remove extraneous .lproj folders.
Example below using iTunes:

Changing system language in CC 2014

I cannot change the application language in Photoshop CC 2014.
It was loaded in french and I would like to have it in english.
I chose American english in the preferences of the Creative Cloud dialogue box.
Nothing happened and the application is still in french.
I had to do that in Photoshop CC and there it worked all right.
In the prefences of Photoshop CC 2014 the only language available is french.
Apparently the language selection for Photoshop CC 2014 does not work properly.

It's not necessary to uninstall the version of InDesign CC on your computer to switch UI language. You just need to change the language preference and install the version with the appropriate language UI.

As for keeping all user settings consistent, this is where Syncing with Creative Cloud feature will come into play later this year. Meanwhile, you can export the preferences .xml file from your user library and import to the version with different language UI. Changing UI language in InDesign CC WITHOUT LOSING SETTINGS

Currently changing UI language in InDesign requeres UNINSTALLING InDesign CC and downloading and installing againg, in effect causing InDesign CC LOSE USER SETTINGS like workspaces.
Last year John Nack was glad to see Multi-Language License arriving with CC. Too bad the "freedom and flexibility" doesn't seem to mean easy of use as well.
I've followed these articles:

Then spent 20 min with Adobe Chat support. Then spoke with phone support to learn uninstalling, downloading and reinstalling is the only way to go BUT she said all settings would stay intact. Well, they didn't.
Hope Adobe focuses on this, ease of use for changing UI language in InDesign CC.

Languages are serial number specific. If you bought it in English, you will have to go through this:
Order an Adobe product platform swap or language swap
Trials will run in the system language, Creative Cloud in the one set in teh application manager.

I change the language on my ipod and most of my songs were gone, how do i get them back?

Ok so, today i had the brightest idea to change the language on my ipod, after that of course i wanted to listen to some music and most of my music dissapeared, i thought that changing the language back to english was gonna be the solution but it wasn’t, i just connect the ipod to itunes and sync it again and nothing happend, i de select and select all of my music again manually to sync it and nothing happend,
Can someone help me? Should i trow away my ipod already?

definitly don't throw your iPod away.
Which iPod touch do you have? And, have you tried shutting it off completely and then turning it back on? Press and hold the button on the top until it powers off, wait about a minute and then press and hold the button until it comes back on.
Let us know what it's like after you do that.
