Need to clear some info

I've upgraded to the iPhone 4, and I'd like to give my old iPhone 3G to someone. Two questions:
1 - How do I clear out my account information? I realize that without my password my account can't be accessed, but I'd still like to clear it out.
2 - If I clear out my photos and songs on the 3G using iTunes, will that clear them out on my iPhone 4 when I hook it up to iTunes?

On the iPhone, go to Settings > General > Reset and select Erase All Content and Settings. This is a secure erase off all content and settings on the iPhone - everything but the firmware/OS. With the 3G, this can take an hour or two so have the iPhone connected to a power source.
The answer to question #2 is no. All iTunes content on your iPhone 3G - all music, movies, tv shows, and 3rd party apps should be in your iTunes library on your computer and all photos transferred from your computer should remain on your computer.

Just open the "Photos" app, open the "Camera Roll" folder and start deleting the pictures you do not want to keep. For mails just open the Mail app and do the same, click edit, choose your emails you do not want to keep and delete them.

Is it possible to store iPhoto files externally in a similar way as iTunes? My hard drive is almost full now and I really need to clear some space.

The capacity on my internal drive is quickly approaching it's limit, this is due to the amount of photo's I have stored thru iPhoto's, I do back them up externally, but as it is, if I want to transfer photo's to an iPad or iPhone, it seems they need to be on my internal hard drive. I see no way of storing them externally in a way which allows syncronisation with my devices. If as with iTunes where you can set a path for storing songs etc externally, this would be very helpful.
Can anybody offer suggestions on how to overcome this problem?

Move your iPhoto Library to an external disk.
Make sure the drive is formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
1. Quit iPhoto
2. Copy the iPhoto Library from your Pictures Folder to the External Disk.
3. Hold down the option (or alt) key while launching iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library' and navigate to the new location. From that point on this will be the default location of your library.
4. Test the library and when you're sure all is well, trash the one on your internal HD to free up space.

Need to hide some info!!!

Hi guys/gals
I have certain usernames & passwords in a table, which is being used to validate users accessing my transaction,it's easy to just say /h & find out the table containing all the values....... can someone help me with a programming technique to overcome this problem!????.
Does anyone know how the above technique is implemented in the initial SAP screen?, here in the initial SAP screen the system says 'function not possible' when i say '/h' in the command prompt.

Try plugging your ipod into your computer. Then start up itunes. Let it load everything. Then click on your ipod and play a song from your ipod's library. Not your itunes library. If it plays the song, then go ahead and stop it, disconnect your ipod, and check the content once again.
I had the same problem and beleive it or not, this worked. I synced my ipod like 5 times before finding this answer on the web. Let me know if I need to clerify anything.

we need to control the spectrum analyzer using an interface that will be developed using Labview .
Spectrum analyzer will be connected to tha PC using RS 232C and the waveform observed will be seen in the PC interface of spectrum analyzer.

Using a spectrum analyzer with LabVIEW is a pretty common application, my first program 15 years ago did this. What we need to know to help you though is what model spectrum analyzer are you planning on using? Most of the ones I'm familiar with use the GPIB interface rather than RS232, but that isn't a major issue, the spectrum analyzers command set is the important one. There are a lot of LabVIEW drivers available for a larger number of analyzers, here on the National Instruments' site. Although most use the GPIB interface (or ethernet), they can be used as a starting point to develop an RS232 driver if one isn't available, assuming that there is a driver for the model that you have, or a closely related one (manufacturers frequently use similar command sets within a model type).
So, what type analyzer are you using, and what types of things are you planning on doing with it?

You can only use apps that are compatible with your dvice and ios version.
The secons gen ipod touch can only go to 4.2.1.
If you are running 4.2.1 then you can only use apps that require 4.2.1 or lower.

Connect the iPod to your computer. Click on the iPod under Devices and iTunes. How large is the "other" category as shown in the colored bargraph? If larger than about 3/4 GB, restore the iPod. That large of "other" indicates corrupted files.

BIOS registered my drives, Built array PC Rebooted, Installing Win XP pro Hit F6 install drivers, Format drives, Then before Install It says that :setup cannot copy the file ahcix86.inf.
If I skip it, it will install XP but when I try to boot from the hard drive It starts to load XP but crashes to the blue screen of death

Looking at some info on Google and Microsoft site, I cannot find the BC error code, only the error code ending with B. It indicates an error with the boot device. It can be caused by several things.
Check that you are using the correct device drivers to install Windows
Also, check the installation CD. It could be that the disk was damaged and that you are missing a crucial file because of that
You can also try installing Windows again and choose to recover the previous installation.
If this all does not help, try installing Windows on a single HDD (no raid) to see if that will work.

Satellite Pro A10 - need some info about RAM upgrade

In regard to the above machine : please can anyone advise :- how many memory slots does it have.
I think it is two but am not sure.
Also what max size memory module can we have in this laptop please.
If it is 2 @ 1gb per module, then we would have a total of 2gb.
Is the hard drive on this machine a standard laptop hard drive. Can I take the small 20gb one out and replace it with a larger one. eg 120 gb etc

On satellite Pro A10 two memory slots are available. Notebook can handle with 1 GB RAM and you can use two compatible PC2100 512MB (PA3164U-1M51) modules.
This old machine uses 2,5 HDD with old IDE connector. I found some info that it was delivered with 20GB, 30GB and 40GB HDDs. I think you can upgrade it with HDD up to 100 GB but just be sure it has the same HDD connector.
