Need to control demand flow from APO system in the R/3

HI Gurus,
Kindly help me control the demand flow from APO system in the R/3.
We want to change the timeline where demands coming from APO are given back to APW. The idea is to have a control table in APW where we can set a number of days or weeks by sales org / customer number. Within this number of days / weeks, no demand should be created / updated from APO system.
Kindly advise the possible solutions to control Demand in R/3 flowing from APO.

Error during extraction data from APO system

HI Gurus,
We are extracting data from APO system at regular intervals. As poart of business requirement, we enhanced the data existing data source in APO dev system and replicated the same in BW dev system and activated the Tx structure and Tx rules.
When we checked it is working fine in dev environment.
Now we moved the same in Quality system, and we tried to extract data, it throws error " error in data selection in source system".
We tried to check in RSA3 in APO and found that the extract program still refers to the old extract structre and gives dump " Extract structure unknown".
Could anybody throw some light on this issue.

There are multiple ways of doing this. Here are some of them..
The Web Publishing tool allows you to publish the front panel and you can control the front panel remotely.http://www.ni.com/white-paper/2911/en/
The TCP/IP socket can allow you to pass codes "strings" to another computer. Lookup the server client example.

How do I get text to flow from one page to the next in Pages 5 with the Maverick system?

What may be overlooked in Pages v5 is the notion of combining Text Boxes via the Menu > View > Show Arrange Tools. When you select two Text Boxes, an extra panel unfolds at the bottom of the Arrange Tools window. Uncheck one Text Box and this panel abruptly disappears.
One can achieve text flow effects between Text Boxes differently based on how one positions the Text Box overlap, and choice of effect above. Though not the accustomed flow found in Pages ’09 v4.3, flow does occur. Consider the possibilities of combining a Shape and a Text box to cut an irregular Text box.
If I create two Text Boxes and position them side by side with outline touching and choose Unite, this creates one larger Text Box and text flows across and down. On the otherhand, if I overlap the upper left corner of a lower Text Box over one above and to the left, then choose Union, pasted text fills the first Text Box and then flows across and down into the other box. Here is a Union example:
Intersect will leave a small Text Box where the two overlap, so not much value there. Subtract will cut a chunk out of one Text Box that is the size of the overlapping piece of the second Text Box:
And Intersect will leave an island in the center where the two Text Box overlap, with flow jumping over this bridge.
Clearly, this is not what we were accustomed to in the past, but with imagination, style, and layout tuning, it does offer alternative Text Box creativity and layout. Of course, there is the option of simply returning to the previous Pages version for true Text Box linking that most will want to use.

is it possible to control itunes dj from other computers on the same network? we have a computer running itunes connected to our speakers here at work, and we'd like to be able to control it through the other comptuers on the network. is this possible, or do you have to use iphones/ipads/etc?

AC is corret you can do that. It might work a bit better for you if you use a wired connection vs a wireless one for the ATV's.

how to configure this colour setting in accord to the system for all the users

Hi Susin,
You would do this by changing the parameter sapgui/theme for each system. It uses the Tradeshow theme by default as of Web AS 6.40. As long as the SAPgui itself is set to "System Dependant" then it should work fine.

Restrictions from SAP Systems to the emails adding

Gentlemen,
Regarding SMTP Email Configuration, I already applied SAP Note u201C455140u201D and every thing its working fine, I can send email through SAP Systems no problem,
My question is,
There are no restrictions from SAP Systems to the emails as I can put any Emil in E-mail address in user ID properties and I can send with it without any problem and this is not logical,
Please advice.

Deploy from one system to the next

I have built an intranet application in HTMLDB for a client, and they are asking me for an easy way to deploy the applcation from one system to the next, say from develop to test and then from test to production.
Their wish is to do this with the push of one button, now I know that that is quite hard to realize, but I'd like to know how you people do that. Right now all i can think of is remember what you changed, export it and import it into the new application, but that's quite a hassle.
I found the export script in the utilities, but I haven't look at it closely enough to be able to reverse that process, is that the way it should be done?

I can't believe that we are at version 2.0 now and
that there is no decent solution to export and import
what we made as a whole instead of all these separate
things.Sad, but true.
I have to explain to my customers who want to be able
to work with HTMLDB that when they want to deploy an
application from one environment to the next they
have to:
- export an application
- export the css files
- export the images
- download the static files (because they can be
exported but not imported(!) )
- create a ddl of the schema
- export csv files from the data in the tablesSounds like an opportunity to write a new utility. ;>)
and then import it all one by one in the new
environment
and then hope they didn't forget anything and have to
debug to find the differences between environments.
Am I the only one that is running into this problem?No. Anyone that's developing and deploying production apps is in the same boat. Obviously, there are varying tolerances and circumstances that make this more or less of a pain for each of us.
I am solely talking about the stuff in the database
now, not the files on the filesystem.....If it's all in the database (which we know it is) then you can certainly bundle all of those steps into a nice little package (pun intended). Let us know how it comes out!

Dependent demand flow from SCM to ECC

Hi ,
Can any one explain, how the scm dependent demand can flow form scm to ECC.
scenerio-
I have 5 level of BOM , i need to plan up to 3 level in SCM and other needs to plan MRP in ECC.
Is it possible to transfer the dependent demand of 4rth level in ECC form SCM and run the MRP?
BOM are PDS explosion not RPM matrix.

Yes it is very much possible. MRP type should be X0 for material planned in APO and PD for not planned in APO.
X0- Means without MRP with BOM explosion so if you are transfering publishing planning results of APO planned material in ECC it will explode bom to plan ECC planned product in MRP.

what do you mean with control the process flow? Do you mean to destine which partner link is called? Or just make some decissions through the business rules and use a switch afterwards....
If you are talking about controlling the partner link to be called, then you should have a look at the chapter three of the cookbook

You could use the outcome of the business rule to make a decission which endpoint reference to use. Perhapes even return the endpoint reference from the business rule...

Need to fetch some data from peoplsoft system

We have peoplseoft as trusted source which gets all employee data into IDM.
Just wanted to check whether the below requirement is feasible or not:
1. Delete user accounts in IDM when any employee gets demoted.
Currently only few employee records get reconciled into IDM. People like VP, marketing, sales guys data comes from peoplesoft to IDM. Remaining people(employees) like floor warden, clerk, store cleaners, data doesnot flow into IDM.
Can we query peoplseoft and fetch records when any employee gets demoted from manager to simple store employee(worker), so that we can delete his account from IDM?
PLease let me know if we can create a schedule task which can perform teh above functionality. Let me know the feasibility of teh requirement.

You can create a transaport request for those six entries as below:
Go to SE10 or SE09 or SE01 and create a new TR. Use TR type as Workbench Request.
Double click on the request and go into the change mode.
Insert an entry with Program ID 'R3TR', Object Type as 'TABU' and Object Name as '<Table Name>'.
Now press enter. It asks to maintain table key.
Press on the key which appears on the Function column. There you can maintain the keys for individual keys for every record or an generic key.
If you maintain as '*' it takes all the entries of the table. Lets say a table is having Primary keys as MANDT (client) and MATNR (material number), the ket would be <Client><Mat no>. e.g. 100Test1 (Here 100 is client and Test1 is material) or 100000000000000000012 (Here 100 is client and 000000000000000012 is material)
Likewise you can maintain the keys for all required 6 rows. Once the request is created get this transported to Quality client.

I currently have 10.5.8 on my Intel desk top. What do I need to do to upgrade from this OS to the Newest version OS?

I currently have 10.5.8 OS on my 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 2 GB 800 MHz DDR2 SDRAM.
My machine needs to be Up-Graded to the Newest OS.
But I get different opinions from everyone as to how to do this Up-Grade.
Can I just buy the Newest OS and install it.?
OR must I go thru all the previous OS up-grades first.?

This could be a very expensive upgrade, Snow Leopard, then Mountain Lion, more RAM and all new software all for a dated machine.
I'd say upgrade it to 10.6.8 max and perhaps add more RAM and stay there for best performance.
