Ahhh, the mysteries of software updating...glad it is working for you now. Sometimes you just have to be persistent until iTunes figures out you aren't going to go away.
So, are you now updating the iPhone to iOS 5.0.1?
If you already have 5.0 and a wireless connection you don't need to use iTunes to update to 5.0.1...the wireless update only means a file of about 38 MB, while via iTunes it is the entire iOS and about 730 MB...big time difference.

Please help, thank you.Use AirPort Utility 5.6 which contains the features you need. It is compatible with Lion as well as Mountain Lion, however, the installer app will refuse to install it on Mountain Lion.
This dilemma is easily solved though. You simply need to extract the app from the installer package using a package extractor like Pacifist.

If you happen to have an archived copy of the AU 5.6 app somewhere, such as a Time Machine backup or equivalent, you can simply restore it or drag the app to your Mountain Lion system's Utilities folder. It will run without complaint. It is only the package installer that is the problem.
Mountain Lion will not allow you to delete its existing version of AirPort Utility. Just ignore it. It and the older version (which will bear the unique name "AirPort Utility 5.6") can peacefully coexist.
Note: For those with Leopard or Snow Leopard systems you need AirPort Utility 5.6.1 (this is confusing - a later AirPort Utility version for an earlier OS X version - but it is correct).

Need to download latest jstl jar - netbeans problems
have a problem with the formatDate func: "attribute value does not accept any expressions".
Another post says he modified the fmt func within the tld. Changed <rtexprvalue>false</rtexprvalue> to true and it started working since it was supposed to be true to begin with.
Catch is I'm using the standard jstl 1.1 lib from within Netbeans 5.0 and I'm unable to find the file to change it.
Hence was thinking that if I could download the jstl jar separately, then I could fiddle with it (if it had the same bug) and then import it into netbeans quite easily.
any ideas ?
ciao, bhishmaThanks evnafets, You are correct. I downloaded the apache implementation and there it clearly had the /jsp added in the 'getting started' html page and when I tried it, it works.
The pages I was referring to for the format tld did not have the /jsp in front. I wonder if it truly worked for them.

This is what threw me off.
So at this point I'm assuming that the default sun implementation present in 1.5 (which my netbeans is using) also works, but I've already switched to apache so I'm not retesting for that.
Will do so in the next few days when I have to setup the same on my friends comp.

We'll need more information before anyone can be of much help. What model iPhone is it, what versions of iOS are running on the iPad 2 now, what exactly are you trying to update, and what version of iTunes are you running? And what exactly is going wrong (include error messages if any).
Once we have that information, someone here can probably offer advice. Note that you cannot sync content or upgrade iOS wirelessly until you get your iPhone and iPad up to iOS 5 and that requires that you connect those devices to your computer via the Dock-USB cable.

I'm being told I need to download Flash player even though I have installed the latest version
I'm using a Mac with Mac OS X, Version 10.7.5, with Safari 6.0.2 as my browser. I haven't had any problems with Flash player until today. Now suddenly, when I try to view Flash content, it tells me I need to download/install the latest version of Flash Player. However, I have installed it multiple times. I even uninstalled it and re-installed it, re-started my computer, etc, and it still won't work. What else can I try??
Does this happen with all Flash content? Do you see the animation and version info when you go to this page?

Let's try a standalone Apple Mobile Device Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of why it's not installing under normal conditions.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:

Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi (or AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi) to do a standalone AMDS install.
(If it offers you the choice to remove or repair, choose "Remove", and if the uninstall goes through successfully, see if you can reinstall by doubleclicking the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi again.)
Does it install (or uninstall and then reinstall) properly for you? If so, can you get a normal iTunes install to go through properly now?

Open the iTunes application, go to the upper left to About iTunes and see what version it says you are running.
Did you actually run an updater?
Use Spotlight to see if you have multiple copies of the iTunes Application on your computer. -
I keep getting the message when I open Muse CC, that the latest version is here and that i need to download it... But when i click "Download Latest Version" and it takes me to the applications manager it tell me that Muse is "Up to date".....
