I need to install the CR ODBC driver on the server that contains BOE XI rel 2, SP2

Hi Walsh,
You can create a connection with Microsoft ODBC Drivers and create New ODBC Connection fpr crystal reports.
If your crystal version is CR XI or XIR2 then you can use Data Direct Drivers 5.0 or 5.1 version are supported.
Where you can get multiple set of database drivers.

Perhaps Asio4All or USB-ASIO (LX not said to be supported) driver is needed to be installed to get a sort of ASIO support for that USB device.

HT4889 Migration Assistant to update my new Mountain Lion iMac from an external USB hard disk drive, it is constantly saying that it is "looking for other computers". It doesn't find the external drive. Why is it looking for other computers?

I told it to look for a drive, yet it is constantly saying that it is "looking for other computers". It doesn't find the external drive ... it just endlessly looks for other computers. Why is it looking for other computers at all, when I told it not to?

Wow, the wording in Migration Assistant is misleading. I've never used it before, so I thought I would try to copy my files from the external drive ... my old iMac died, but I managed to get everything I need off it, using the 'cp' command in single-user mode. So I guess I'll just have to manually copy the files from the external drive to the new machine. I was hoping that Migration Assistant might help somehow, but obviously not.

Need help finding the right codec to play QT files

Like many others who have posted, all the quicktime files on my drive have turned to black. Previously when I opened the file, I saw picture and sound. Now every single file has only audio, but the picture is black.
I am operation on Mac O.S. 10.4.11. I am using Quicktime Pro 7.5. I have been trying to fix this problem for a month now. Many people have suggested I need to find the right codec, but so far I have not found it. I have tried: A52codec.component, AC3codec, MacOS 8.x, 9.1.x, Apple Intermediate Codec.com, Apple MPEG2.codec.component, Avilmporter-r7.component, DivX Decoder.component, DivX Encoder.component, DivX Pro 6.8.0.19 + keymaker, EnsharpEncoderMacOsX.cmg, Fbx 20091quicktime_macemu.pkg.tar, Fbx QT.pkg, Flipsformac, WMV Advanced.component, Flipsformac WMV Advanced Exports.component, Flipsformac WMV Import.component, IMXCodec.component, LAAME Universal Installer.mpkg, LAAMEncoder.component, QSSP_2.1.dmg, QSXEssentials.component, QSXEssentials.dmg, QTFvx.component, Red Quicktime Codec v3.1.pkg, Red Code iedcod.qt.component, Spectrograph.component, TSCC.component xiphqt.component, XviD_codec-r58.component, XviDELEGATE.component

I also tried to install Perian. This did not work.
What should I do? Should I re-install my operating system and start over? About a month ago, all the video clips played just fine. Is there any solution?

I haven't even heard of half of those! You may have reached overkill on codecs!
Get rid of some of them and read this:
These are the downloads and the settings you need in order to view/hear pretty much everything that the net can throw at you: The setup described below has proved repeatedly successful on both PPC and Intel macs, but nothing in life carries a guarantee!
It is known to work in the great majority of cases with Safari 3.0.4, 3.1, 3.1.1, QT 7.3, 7.4.x and 7.5 and OS 10.4.11.
Assuming you already run Tiger versions OS 10.4.11 and have Quicktime 7.4 or above, and are using Safari 2 or 3, download and install (or re-install even if you already had them) the latest versions, suitable for your flavor of Mac, of:
RealPlayer 11 (which is no longer in beta) for Mac from:

Adobe FlashPlayer should first be uninstalled using the appropriate uninstaller available here:

and installed.

In earlier versions than QT 7.1.3 in Quicktime Preferences, under advanced, UNcheck Enable Flash, and under Mime settings/Miscellananeous only check Quicktime HTML (QHTM).
You should also ensure, if you are running Tiger 10.4.11, that you have downloaded and installed all the correct version for your Mac of Security Updates up to and including 2008-004. (N.B. Security Updates require both a restart and a permission repair.)
In Macintosh HD/Library/Quicktime/ delete any files relating to DivX (Perian already has them). However it should be noted that Perian is not an internet plugin and will not play DivX files imbedded on a website. For that you will need the DivX Player browser plugin available from http://www.divx.com/divx/mac/
Now go to Safari Preferences/Security, and tick the boxes under Web Content (all 4 of them) to enable Java.
Lastly open Audio Midi Setup (which you will find in the Utilities Folder of your Applications Folder) and click on Audio Devices. Make sure that both Audio Input and Audio Output, under Format, are set to 44100 Hz, and that you have selected 'Built in Audio'.
Important: Now repair permissions and restart.
You should also consider having the free VLC Player from http://www.videolan.org/ in your armory, as this plays almost anything that DVD Player might not.
There is an additional 'fix' you could try if you are having problems with Flash and Quicktime, depending on which type of Mac you have:
On Intel Macs, make sure that you are not running Safari in Rosetta. You can check this, and change it, in the Get Info window.
On PPC Macs, go to the Hard Disk/Library/Internet Plug-Ins folder, and drag the file 'QuickTime Plugin.webplugin' to the desktop. Quit and restart Safari. If things have improved you can trash that file. If they haven't put it back, as the lack of this plug-in can cause QT content in some widgets to cease functioning.
And now there is an additional kid on the block: SilverLight. Microsoft has created their own version of what a replacement for Flash should be. You can read more about it here:

Flashing file folder - can't find the hard drive-imacG3 - 9.1

When I attempted to start up I got a flashing "?" in a folder. I loaded the hardware test CD and everthing tested fine but no hard drive was listed. I loaded the software install CD and got the message"disk is unreadable. Do you want to inintialize". Options were Standard 9.5 GB or extended. Is there anything I can do other than initialize and lose everything? If I do initialize should it be standard or extended? If the hardware test can't find the hard drive how did the software install disk recognize it. Any ideas? Thanks

Unfortunately both of those must run from a bootable CD or bootable device that isn't the startup volume. And, by the way, both of those applications do cost money.
TechTool Pro comes from Micromat and you would need version 3.0.9 (final for Mac OS9) from them.
DiskWarrior is a bit tricky as the CD is bootable only in Mac OS 10 and can cripple an iMac Slot Loading machine that hasn't had the Firmware update. They include an older Mac OS 9 version on that CD however you would have to install it into something that is bootable.

Almost all new motherboards today only have a primary ide channel and the rest are SATA.
I need inputs regarding the dvd drive which is shown in device manager as located on the primary ide channel while the hard drive is located on the secondary channel. Because I would like to update the dvd drive to the latest firmware (version 1.06; to be able to recognize more blank media) but the LG site recommends that the drive (dvd) be located on the secondary ide channel.
I already tried to uninstall every channel from the device manager but all would still be the same after reboot, dvd drive on primary, hard drive on secondary.
Current ide mode in BIOS is set to AHCI+IDE mode, DMA modes are fine (UDMA4 for dvd, UDMA5 for hard drive), boot sequence (1st=HD, 2nd=DVD, 3rd=Floppy drive)
Tried switching to IDE mode only in BIOS but would not detect the optical drive. Never tried RAID+IDE mode since I only have a single hard drive.
I'm not sure but if I try to update the firmware, it might instead try to update the hard drive's firmware instead of the optical drive and make the hard drive unusable.
I would like to know if anybody with this same situation was able to successfully update the optical drive's firmware or is there some way to place the optical drive on the secondary ide channel and the hard drive on primary for me to follow and replicate the process.

Just received the solution from another forum where I posted the same problem.
They said that the flash program for the firmware will detect the drive on its own and would not flash other devices except the optical drive itself. So its pretty safe, and I can confirm this since I just flashed my ODD a little over a while ago and everything went fine. No errors.
Though I'm speaking for the brand of ODD I own and may be different for other brands so take precautions as well. It may be different for the others.

Click on the Desktop. From the Finder menu select Preferences. Check the boxes for what you want on your Desktop. If they are already checked, then try unchecking and rechecking.

Can't find the correct driver for my printer.

I just recently moved, and was trying to set up my computer to be connected to my printer/scanner again. It has been many months since i last used this desktop computer, and when i tried to connect my printer, i couldn't find the right driver. So i had to use some other hp driver, and so my printer will print, but not scan. Any suggestions?

i tried getting a software update, and it didn't give me any more drivers than what i already saw before.
i don't have a disc that would load the right driver, but i didn't use it in the first place. The "auto select driver" thing picked it up fine last time i used this printer and computer together.

HP has scanner software for their multi-function printers. If your printer precedes Leopard then there should be compatible drivers at HP. OS X does not come with scanner drivers for any scanner until you upgrade to Snow Leopard. You won't find any driver updates via Software Update unless Apple releases an HP driver package update and SU detects that you have a compatible HP printer already installed.

Hello, it's famke again...Still trying to find drivers.. My sound card is apparently also missing drivers... I've tried many drivers from different sites matching the information i've taken off the card...but for some reason i always get a big red slash through my audigy sound control panel after trying to install the driver and reboot my system... I can't find the yosemite driver for my new epson r3000 printer. I am using 10.10.1. The Epson website says to find the driver by going to the App store and looking for updates. I did that and didn't find any. In "Printers and Scanners" in System Preferences I notice that the computer is aware that I am connected to the printer (via USB) but a message at the bottom of the window says that "Software for this printer isn't available from Apple. Contact the printer's manufacturer...". What to do?

I have stucked in program as below scenario:-
I have two tables of huge data of same structure in a same schema.I need to find the difference exact values in tables.
By using MINUS we can find the difference between two table ,i need to find the what exact difference in the there values with colunm and value at that column.

Need to find the assets associated to a BCC project using SQL query

Hi,
Given a BCC project (project_id), I need to find the assets (type of asset, version, status etc) in that project using SQL queries.
I need this for reporting purpose and cannot do this programatically using any code.
Surprisingly ATG does not store this association in a direct way. Can someone provide me the query if you have already done this before?
I tried enabling loggingDebug in PublishingRepository and VersionManagerRepository to get the queries, but I did not get what I want.

UPDATE:
When a project is selected in BCC, ATG is doing something crazy, as it appears to me, of querying all the tables (ofcourse when there is a cache miss) in all the versioned item descriptor with the workspace id of the project to display the assets contained in it.
I do not see an easy or direct way of coming up with a query for this requirement.
Please let me know if anyone has any other idea.
