Need to fix install ... I accidentally sorted the panel
I just got a MacBook Pro ... (not retina) ... I was installing the Kindle app and accidentally sorted the box that came up. Now every install comes up with Kindle listed in it ... and I can't tell (in general) what I should be clicking to actually install the program. I've looked for some method of re-installing just that piece but can't find it. What is the best way to treat this? I already moved 50 gig of data over to the new machine and really don't want to have to do that again.

Well, I don't have a kindle device attached or a kindle disk ... I just have the kindle app. That said, I followed your directions, and then set that as the default. Then I tried to open the folder AMH that you'll see on the right side of the screen. When I do that, the AMH folder does come up ... but it also brings up the window with the Kindle text in it, and when I check the view options they are once again set to picture. I've tried putting it back to white background and setting it to default again ... but the kindle app (I generally use my ipad to read kindle ebooks, but wanted to be able to read them on the macbook pro as well) seems determined to stick like glue.

Bookmarks and plugins are gone, as they should be, but my customized physical options are not gone, so I know that I am not getting a clean install. Also, the problem I am having with Firefox (loss of response to mouse input) remains. For example, I cannot use the pull down below called "This Happened".

The [[Backing up your information]] Knowledge Base article should have the locations of all the stored files.
You could also try starting Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] and resetting everything to default.

I had a safari window open, I went to drag it up on to the destop more but my finger slipped and it dropped into the icon on side bar iWeb that I had been working on. now My iWeb app says "cannot open /application/safari.app" . Ihave already tryed to drag the iWeb to trash and reinstall the applications cd. also, since tryng to figure it out via posts oon apple support that seemed similar ( finding in library and under listing etc )
also.. the tool bar is huge and so I am afraid I have screwed this computer up...Try following.
First (force) quit Safari, iWeb and all other open applications.
Drag iWeb to the Trash, empty the trash. Restart mac. Recover iWeb from Time Mache backup before you made the mistake. -
2911 ISM and CUE: Do I need to (re-)install CUE for GUI access?
To all the experts out there, I am volunteering with a IPT (Voice) install for my Church. They have a 2911ISR router, which I am trying to setup / configure for a small office configuration.
The question is as stated: Do I need to (re-)install CUE to get the GUI (web UI) to work? It shipped with CUE 8.6.6 on the ISM-SRE-300-K9 module. But I'm not sure if it is because the GUI isn't there or if I have configured the interfaces and route incorrectly.

[Solved] Kernel Update - Do I need to re-install Catalyst?
Hi....
Yesterday everything was going fine on my new AMD Fusion machine. Last night I did
pacman -Syu
and a new kernel was installed.
Now, I rebooted this morning, and I don't seem to have any graphics acceleration in kwin. My wobbly windows are gone, moving windows is incredibly slow and blocky, and (since I am using the netbook interface) when I click on the "running Applications" button, I only get a list instead of an image of all applications/work spaces.
So do I need to re-install or re-build the catalyst packages with the kernel update?

Refreshing the panels when new content added?
Hey, guys. My first post here; hope I'm not too much of a JNewbie for you. :)
I'm getting my feet wet in Swing, working on an invoice program for work. I want it to look like a regular invoice, with fields for SKU, description, cost per unit, units, and total per line item. Right now, I have those five fields in a Jpanel that I add to the bottom of the layout.
The problem is that I need the ability to go to File => Add New Item... and have another JPanel with those five fields add to the bottom so a 2nd item can be added to the form below the first. I tried making a function that adds them to the panel, using the same type of syntax that the generated code (using a form builder in NetBeans) did. I don't see the lines get added.
My thought is that there is some function I need to call to redraw or refresh the panel so that the new components start drawing. However, my Great Javadoc Adventure has turned up no clues.
Can anyone please give me a hand with making this happen, or at the least coming up with an alternate solution that will achieve similar results?

I have downloaded and installed the latest version of numbers on my mac. Everytime I save and then try to reopen that document, I receive a message telling me that I need a new version of numbers. Also, when I try to sort the date column, it sorts out of order. The last version sorted fine.

When you install the new iWork version, the old iWork version is kept, so it looks like you are opening your old version.
To fix this, open a Finder window, choose Applications in the sidebar and drag the new Numbers version to the Dock, so you can access to it quickly. Open all documents from this version. I don't recommend you to delete the old Numbers version in case you need it.
Respecting to the second question, you will get better answers in the Numbers for OS X forum -
I am unable to open my Photoshop program after installing the entire Creative Suite: Premium Production 6. All other programs work, but with Photoshop it says that it "Could not open a scratch file because the file is locked, you do not have necessary access permissions, or another program is using the file. Use the 'Properties' command in the Windows Explorer to unlock the file." Then I select "OK" and the next message comes up "Could not initialize Photoshop because the file is locked, you do not have the necessary permissions, or another program is using the file. Use the 'Properties' command in the Windows Explorer to unlock this file. I installed all of the programs on the same day from a CD. I need this fixed immediately.
I am not interested in switching to Creative Cloud, so don't even suggest it. I spoke to Mashmi (or something to that effect) on the "Support" Chat and there was absolutely no support. Useless actually.

I still am having problems with Aperture not loading, It just refuses to work, and I get the message saying it has encountered a problem, and I may need to re-install which I have done dozens of times. The fix mentioned on an earlier post doesn't work as it is for Ver 10.6.6 and I am running 10.6.7
Do you have Final Cut installed on your machine?
