Need to get Canon Scanner Lide210 to be in scanner list in PSE10 for Mac

I have just upgraded from PSE9-Mac to PSE10-Mac on MacOS 10.7.2. I have a CanoScan Lide210 and have enjoyed using the import feature in PSE9 and my Canon scanner for importing images. I recall it being a process for the scanner to be placed in the list when installing PSE9, but can't seem to find where this process occurs. I despise using the clunky scanning interface from Canon, and have really enjoyed the feature in PSE9. I upgraded because I was having some lock-up issues during import and figured a newer version might help. Thanks!

Thanks..I have copied over and posted where you led me. I just spent a lot of time with Nidhaal from Chat at Adobe and he was unable to help. Though I can now see my scanner in the drop-down list, it will not open a preview or scan window in PSE10. He has recommended using PhotoBooth or other scanning interfaces to capture, then import and edit within PSE10. I am frustrated by the extra, clumsy steps to do something I have been doing for thousands of photos over the past couple of years. I, at least, want to create a process that is reasonably tried-and-true from other MacOS/PSE users. I appreciate the direction you've given me.

Do I need to get a separate program to burn multiples copies of a DVD on Mac, and not have the copies separate into AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS? I made a series of lesson plans on iMovie. When it opens on the original disk, it goes right to my music and intro menu. When I try to burn it to a new DVD, it shows up as AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS. It does not open at all. Please advise.

Does the disk image that you created from the previously burned iDVD project look like this?
If so you don't copy any part of it to a blank DVD. You open Disk Utility and select it like I do in this screenshot:
insert a blank DVD and click on the Burn button.

And just how is suggesting to remove Lion and to go back to Snow Leopard not helping the OP in his quest to make his already owned and paid for MS Office software work? If it is isn't broken stop trying to fix it. Snow Leopard is a fine OS. Lion is still in Beta, only Apple hasn't told anyone. And yes I run Lion on my new MBP but I also have a partition with Snow Leopard on it.

Can't get acrobat 9 pro to load as part of CS5 suite for mac

I had to reinstall the full CS5 package, and I had no issues reinstalling Indesign, Photoshop and Illustrator from the original disks, but when I insert the AA9 Pro disk, it *appears* to download, and I'm able to open it, but as soon as I eject the disk, the program grays out. The icon stays in my doc, but nothing happens when I click on it -- when I check my applications folder and I click on the icon there, I get an error msg that says: "The alias “Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro” can’t be opened because the original item can’t be found."
I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. (not sure this has anything to do with it, but the other CS5 disk in the suite package -- for indesign, photoshop and illustrator -- prompted me for my serial number and product code, but when I inserted the disk for AA9 Pro, that didn't happen.) Any suggestions? btw: I posted this question in another forum, but someone suggested it may be a CS-specific issue....)

you could try downloading cs5 design standard and installing acrobat from that.
if you follow all 7 steps you can directly download a trial here: http://prodesigntools.com/all-adobe-cs5-direct-download-links.html
and activate with your serial number.
if you have a problem starting the download, you didn't follow all 7 steps, or your browser does not accept cookies.
the most common problem is caused by failing to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system enabling you to download the correct version from adobe.com).
failure to obtain that cookie results in an error page being displayed after clicking a link on prodesigntools.com or initiates the download of an incorrect (eg, current) version.

Can I get my songs from my windows formatted Ipod to my Itunes for mac??

If you click on your iPod in the Finder, does a Pictures folder show up? If so, you could just drag it over.

After Maverick installation I find I am unable to get a Time Capsule backup started to my WD My Passport for Mac. It just stays in preparing for backup, then times out.

I have a 2009 Mackbook Pro. Have about 124gb left on the 500 gb WD My Passport. Thanks!

Just checked Time Machine and found that the backup is happening, but the icon for time machine does not go in circles any more, like it used to to show that the backup is in process. FYI

OK, I see that Canon does not support Lion. I bought a CanoScan 9950 and want to have it recognized and run VueScan. So far I cannot get the scanner recognized in About the Mac nor in VueScan. I downloaded drivers from Canon but it seems from the conversation they don't work with Lion. So what is a boy supposed to do? Is there a way to get the scanner recognized and run with VueScan or am I just SOL? Surely there has to be a fix.
In addition I have a Canoscan FS2710 which I have not been able to use for ages.

I've been using Nuance PaperPort for years on my PC and absolutely love it. If anyone is familiar with that program and could recommend something comparable for use on a Mac, I would appreciate it. PaperPort is a document management software that works in conjunction with a scanner.

Cannot get Canon LIDE 220 Scanner to work with Acrobat XI Pro, Acrobat will not let scanner add pages to existing PDFs

I have recently purchased a Canon Scanner LIDE 220 for my new PC which has Windows 8.1 64-bit and ADOBE ACROBAT XI Professional.
I NEED to be able to open PDF documents and add pages by using the scanner, but the scanner is not being accepted by ACROBAT. I get messages that there is no scanner connected or no driver installed. I have uploaded Canon's latest drivers for the scanner but when I try to get Acrobat to accept the scanner it says the scanner will not accept presets.
I need some help!!

Some scanners do not support presets, so when you choose an unsupported scanner from the pop-up menu, a dialog stating "This scanner does not support presets" appears. Have you tried scanning using Custom Scan through File > Create PDF from Scanner > Custom Scan..?

I need help getting my Canon Powershot A3500 HD WiFi camera connected!

I Keep getting and error message "Failed to connect to server" when I try to set web services via Canon DC! I read a simiiar complaint and when Ichecked my files, I did not have a WirelessCameraConnectionSetting.exe file! What do I need to do?

What model TC is this.. A1xxx from the base please??
If you had the UVerse wireless still on, it was probably much better than the TC.. TC can be pretty woeful.
Anyway give it a fair test.
Factory reset the TC.. always good to clean start.
Set all short names.. 2-20 characters.. no spaces and pure alphanumeric. It might not help apple stuff but it sure helps everything else.. and iOS can also work better. Give a different name to 5ghz so you can choose it.
Use WPA2 Personal security with all alphanumeric password.
Fix the wireless channels and try 11, 6, 1 in that order.. stick with the best.
For 5ghz try around 40 and around 150 .. one either side is fine.. but low and high is the idea.
No improvement then you will need to get another wireless router..
You can get another apple router, like express or extreme and either wire or use wireless to extend the wireless.. or buy a single high power router.. eg Asus RT-N66U or AC66U and bridge the TC for TM use.
