Need to get photos from i-phone to computer

I have photos that were taken with a digital camera and put on the i-phone. Unfortunately, my photos are now gone from my computer after installing Leopard. How can I put photos that are currently in my photo library on my i-phone on to my computer? When I click on image capture, all it lets me download are photos taken with the i-phone.

I think you will need to use a third-party utility that can access the iPhone's disk and extract files from it. There are numerous such utilities that you will find at VersionTracker or MacUpdate. I only know of a couple - Floola (which may only work with iPods - not sure) and Senuti.

    Hi People!
Please help...I want to know how can i get photos from ipad to the computer, that were synchronized previously to ipad but from another pc that i dont have access anymore and these pics are now only found in this ipad and no other place.

    Hi Alan,
Thanks for the help, but i've actually done that before.
It does not help, because it only shows the photos on the camera roll and do not show the photos synchronized with that pc that i dont have access anymore.
The photos/albums all appear on the ipad, i can see it without problems but i cant get them out of the ipad to save onto pc for backup.
And i reaaly need it, as it is the only place that i actually have these photos now...

Can I move photos from an I-phone directly to an I-pod Touch without going through any other device?

  • Need help getting photos from a shared photo stream in iCloud

I received several invites to several shared photo streams from the same person. Some of them worked fine. Others said "from unknown" and don't show up, even though they are all from the same person. What do I do?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
If you delete photos from a shared photo stream they are removed everywhere, however if the other party has already copied the photo to one of their own albums, you can't delete that.

  • Cannot get photos from iphone 3G to computer

I need to get the pictures from my phone to my computer because I have a new phone I want to use and am giving this one to my son. They no longer sync even though I haven't changed those settings. I used to get a pop-up when I plugged my phone into the computer and could copy the pictures that way. The phone no longer shows up under 'my computer' either like it used to. I've tried with two computers, so it must be the phone. Any ideas?

There has been a bug in the past (not sure if fixed with 4.0+ OS but the bug is this:
At times when an image is saved to the camera roll from an email or from a web site, it can cause the Camera Roll not to show up as a Digital Camera anymore.
The fix is (if you know which photos) to go through your photos, and email to yourself any photos you saved from email or from the web so you can get a copy of them, then delete them from the camera roll leaving only images taken with the camera. Then it will show up again as a digital camera.

  • Photos from i phone to computer

I have a new i phone and tried to copy my photos off the i phone via i tunes to my computer.  It has wiped off all the photos in my photo library/album and left the ones I wanted to download ie the ones in camera roll that I took with the i phone itself.
    a) How do I get the photos back onto my phone off the computer
    b) how do I copy without losing the others in my cameral roll onto the computer
The outcome should be on both i phone and computer how do I do that please

" tried to copy my photos off the i phone via i tunes to my computer."
You cannot do this.  itunes has nothing to do with importing pics from your iphone.
    a)  Sync them.  Open itunes, connect iphone, select everything that you want to be on the iphone, sync
    b)  You import them as you would from any digital camera

  • Getting photos from Ipod into my computer

I had all my pictures and music on my Itunes, and synced them to my IPod. My computer however recently crashed, and I lost all of my songs and my photos. I found a program that allowed me to convert all of my songs from my Ipod back onto my Itunes, but I haven't found a way to get my photos back on to my computer. Does anyone know how I can get my photos from my Ipod into my computer??

    Check out the instructions/suggestions here.
Music from iPod to computer (using option 2).
There's also another method. I've successfully tested this across several different Windows PCs.
Open iTunes and select edit/preferences/advanced/general. Put a check mark in the box marked "copy files to iTunes music folder when adding to library" and also "keep iTunes music folder organized", then click 'ok'.
Connect the iPod whilst holding down the shift/ctrl keys to prevent any auto sync, and if you see the dialogue window asking if you want to sync to this itunes library, click 'no'.
Then go to file/add folder, open 'my computer', select your iPod and click 'ok'.
The music files should transfer to your iTunes.
If this doesn't work (and it may not because officially it's not supposed to), there's Yamipod. This is a free program that transfers music and playlists etc from iPod back to the computer. However, it does not transfer playcounts/ratings etc.
The above methods may depend on what version of iTunes you are running.
If none of these methods work, try CopyPod.
If you are using iTunes version 7 or later, then you can transfer purchased iTunes store music from the iPod to an authorized computer by using the "file/transfer purchases from iPod" menu. Note that the maximum of 5 authorized computers applies here.

  • Verizon Media Manager won't install - How do I get photos from my phone memory to my PC?

I'm getting frustrated with my new Droid, HTC Incredible. The salesman said I could just plug in the USB and transfer my photos to and from my computer, that the phone would look just like an external hard drive. False...
I plug in the USB and get an option to open the folders or to install drivers. If I chose to open the folders, I see three external drives - one with an autorun.inf file and a few other files. If I click on the other two drives, I get a message telling me to install a disk in the drive.
If I click, "Install Drivers" I am taken to the VerizonWireless website and instructed to install Verizon Media Manager. Okay, so I try to do that, on my Windows 64 bit OS, and get a message that says,
"This Application does not support 64 bit operating systems - operation aborted" (or something like that).
    So now what?

I apologize you are having problems connecting your device with your PC.
    Try using these steps below:
    Windows 7
Click Start > Control Panel > System and Security > Device Manager.
    Windows Vista
Click Start > (Settings) Control Panel > (System and Maintenance) > Device Manager.
    If prompted, click Continue.
     Windows 2000 / XP
Click Start > (Settings) Control Panel > (Performance and Maintenance) > System > Hardware > Device Manager.
The following devices are normally installed:
    Anrdoid USB Devices
    My HTC
    Disk drives
    HTC Android Phone USB Device
    Modems
HTC Modem (if using as a tethered modem)
    Portable Devices
E:/ (Where E represents the assigned drive letter.)
    Universal Serial Bus controllers
    USB Composite Device
    USB Mass Storage Device
If a red X, yellow ! or yellow ? is displayed to the left of a listed device, a conflict is present and the drivers must be updated or reinstalled.
Driver conflicts may also be indicated by a device entry labeled Other Devices or Unknown.
    1.  If using the HTC DROID Incredible ADR6300 as a Sync device continue to step 3. If using the HTC DROID Incredible ADR6300 as a Modem ensure the device drivers are installed.
    2.  If VZAccess Manager is installed and a driver conflict is still present, continue to step 3. Right-click the device then click Update Driver Software.
    3.  If using Windows 2000 / XP, right-click the device then click Update Driver.
The device name may differ from the example shown.
    4. Click Browse my computer for driver software.
If using Windows 2000 / XP, select Install from a list or specific location (Advanced) then click Next.
Enter C:\Windows\System32\driver into the search window then click Next.
If using Windows 2000 / XP, ensure that Search for the best driver in these locations and Include this location in the search are selected.
    5.  The driver location can be entered manually or navigated to by clicking Browse.
If the driver software is not found, a Windows Operating System update  may be needed.
    6. Click Close.
If using Windows 2000 / XP, click Finish.
Once your done, you should be able to see one of the following choices in  your My Computer:
    Anrdoid USB Devices
    My HTC
    Disk drives
    HTC Android Phone USB Device
    Modems
HTC Modem (if using as a tethered modem)
    Portable Devices
E:/ (Where E represents the assigned drive letter.)
    Universal Serial Bus controllers
    USB Composite Device
    USB Mass Storage Device
You can then sync the device with the PC.
Connect the device to the computer with the USB cable. From the home screen, pull down the window shade (located at the top of the screen).
Touch Disk drive then touch Done.
From File Explorer / Finder on the computer, create a new music folder in Removable Disk (X.
Removable Disk (X represents the SD Card installed in the device. This name may vary.
Use the computer to copy pictures into the newly created folder.
From the home screen, pull down the window shade (located at the top of the screen).
Touch Charge only then touch Done.
Disconnect the USB cable from the computer.

  • Need to get photos from iPhone 5 in recovery mode

Today, my wife's iPhone 5 inexplicably gave a temperature warning.  No reason, it was just sitting there, indoors and no where near a heat source.
At any rate she let it shut off or whatever it said and just let it sit for a while.  When she came back it was in a reboot loop.
I'm able to plug it in and go into DFU mode to have it recognized in iTunes as in recovery mode.
What I'm trying to do is see if there's a way to get the photos off of it before performing a restore or taking it to the Apple store.  There are some photos that she's taken since the last backup we don't want to lose and Photo Stream wasn't enabled so I can't get them that way.
Is there anything I can do?

    No ideas?
I'm now wondering if the photos have been backed up in iCloud.  She's got a sizable backup of her phone there.  Too bad they don't let you get into it from your Mac or something to see exactly what's there.
So anyway, I had an idea.  I also have an iPhone 5.  What if I did a full backup to my computer of my phone, then restored it and set it up as her phone and had it restore from iCloud?  Then we could see what photos are there and save them to iPhoto.  Then I could restore the phone from my backup to put it the way it was?
    Crazy?  Potential potholes?  Thoughts?

  • Need to get photos from beta version of Lightroom

I have some valuable photos contained in a Beta 3 database. Beta 3 has obviously expired now, and I cannot get at them:( When I try to open the database in Lightroom 1.0, it tries to convert it, but then says it cannot read it. I'd really like to get at these photos as they're the last ones in existence - I somehow managed to delete the originals and backups... Seems like these photos were destined to be lost. However, I'd be delighted if I could view the previews stored in the database, at least, so I could then take screenshots of the best ones and use them for the web, etc.
    Does anyone have any ideas?
    Thanks a lot.
    Andrew

You can if you think about.. clocks. and dates and moving them briefly.
Imagine if you will that it was the 27th Feb and Beta 4 still worked..
    Ahem.

  • HT201269 how do i transfer photos from I phone to computer?

I have 1000+photos on my iphone 4s which were taken before my ipada nd iphone were synced (sp?). I want to create albums one from my computer or delete some. How do I do this via itunes which I have learned is the only way to do it.
Secondly, I an guessing there is no way to sync the  iphone photos  to my ipad which is an a easier way to have photos sent or published. Is that assumption correct?

If you use the USB cable to attach your iPhone to your computer and it contains photos in Camera Roll it will be recognized as a Camera and the standard Windows photo S/W will be activated. You can download your iPhone photos and create whatever folders you want to organize/contain them there.
Itunes is not involved in downloading or organzing photos.
