Need to get the top bar back.

I lost the bar at the top that says "File", "Edit", "Bookmarks", "History", etc. How do I get it back?

In Firefox 3.6 on Windows you can hide the menu bar via "View > Toolbars" or via the right click context menu on a toolbar.
Press and hold the Alt key down to bring up the menu bar.
Go to "View > Toolbars" or right-click the menu bar or press Alt+V T to select which toolbars to show or hide.

• How do I get the top bar back that shows page description and the Firefox logo?

The bar at the top of Firefox that appears on every program above the menu bar is gone.
As in, the bit that normally displays the page title, and the firefox logo. It now looks indistinguishable from Chrome. I'm not in full screen mode.
When I click and drag firefox to the top of my screen to snap it to my monitor size, the firefox logo and the title are shown for the instant until it snaps, but as soon as it snaps it's gone (and generically everywhere).
I want to be able to see what browser I'm in at a glance, and see the title of the page I'm on. How can I resolve this?

You can find the button to enable the window title bar at the bottom left of the customize window.

• How do I get the top bar back after making it "full screen?" I try hitting "alt" but nothing happens!

All the details are in my question already.

The F11 key toggles Full Screen on or off. Also, you can use ALT+V+F '''''OR''''' press the ALT or F10 key to display the Menu Bar and click View > Full Screen '''''OR''''' move your cursor to the top of your monitor screen, some toolbars will display, right-click in an empty area, click Exit Full Screen Mode.

• How do I get the address bar back on the top of my browser

I just installed the new firefox and when I click on a link and the linked site appears, I lose my navigation bar and get a bar with non functional icons instead. When I right click the non functional bar, it shows rss feeds for that website and asks if I want to subscribe. How do I get rid of this non functional bar and get the navigation bar back?

This issue can be caused by the RSS Icon extension.

Hi all,
I have to get the top visitors of a website which has been migrated from 2010 to 2013, Since the web analytics has been depricated in 2013, i cant find a way to get the data of the visitors count for a website, i cant create a list and store the names of

I have heard about using AUDIT LOGS, just wanted to reconfirm if i can do with it.
If yes, i would like to know the way too.

• How can I get the status bar back on my web page

I want to get the status bar on the bottom of the web page so that I can slide from left to right if an article is too large for my monitor. I had it this morning 1-5-15. After checking out Thunderbird as an option for my email, the bar disappeared after uninstalling Thunderbird. I know about hovering over the web pages I have on my menu bar, but I would rather have the entire bar at bottom of page.
The gray bar shows up in my email only. I would like to have it on all my websites.
Thank you.

Does the scroll bar appear if you maximize the window or possibly switch to full screen mode via F12?
You can try to open the system menu via Alt+Space and see if you can resize the window in case the current window is too high and the horizontal scroll bar falls off.
Try to open a new window in case there is a problem with the current window.
You can check for problems caused by a corrupted xulstore.rdf file.

• How do I get my address bar back? If I type in the URL of a website I need to navigate to, instead Mozilla is doing a Google Search and giving those results. How do I get the address bar back?

My address bar where I type in the URL has disappeared. I've searched through Help options, and found only one piece of moderately useful information (following) in Menu Reference. It is: "Open Location… Focuses on the Firefox URL bar so you can type in a new location to visit." However, Open Location is not included as a menu item in the File Tab in my Mozilla dropdown menu. I am not in Full Screen mode so that is not the problem! I think this may have happened last night when I went into Tools, then chose Options. I had been looking around to find out how to set up multiple tabs to open at Start-Up. Both Internet Explorer and Chrome have that option, and it's an important option to me. Firefox apparently does not over that feature, unfortunately. After looking through all the tab choices under Tools - Options, I went to the View menu, and chose Customize. I tried to add the Flexible Space icon, and it ended up being a mess so I had to remove those. The only thing I can think of is that it may have happened then, but I am not sure. I need my Address Bar back so that I can type in the URLS and just go to the websites.

Open Firefox -> Go to View -> Toolbars -> Chechmark on "Navigation Toolbar"
this will bring back your address bar (where you type links to go to websites :P )

• How do I reset Mozilla so that I can get the menu bar back. Top of browser page is missing?

Top of browser page is not showing tool bar.

Firefox 3.6+ versions have a feature to allow the user to hide the Menu bar. Firefox 4+ versions have an orange Firefox button that shows when the Menu bar is hidden.
Hit the '''Alt''' key to temporarily show the Menu bar, then open View > Toolbars and select Menu bar, so it has a check-mark.
The F10 can also be used on most PC's to temporarily reveal the Menu bar.

• I not longer have a back button. How do I get the Awesome Bar back?

For some reason I do not have the Awesome Bar on my computer? No back button. I have to get off the internet in order to go back. I see all the features, but no way to obtain it.

If the menu bar is hidden then press the F10 key or hold down the Alt key to make the menu bar appear.
Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible: "View > Toolbars"
*Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize"
*Check that the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is on the Bookmarks Toolbar
*If the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the Bookmarks Toolbar then drag it back from the toolbar palette in the customize window to the Bookmarks Toolbar
*If missing items are in the toolbar palette then drag them back from the Customize window on the toolbar
*If you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the toolbar palette then click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar set up

• I have deleted by mistake the site bar and I don't know how to eneter a site that I want to do, does anybody knows how to get the site bar back?

i made a right click and by mistake i deleted the site bar and i don't know how to get it back. :/

It sounds like you have hidden the navigation toolbar. To bring it back, in the View menu select Toolbars, then click on "Navigation Toolbar" in the list of toolbars to display it. Active toolbars will have a tick by their name.
If the menus themselves are missing, press either Alt or F10 to temporarily display the menus. You can then Select View > Toolbars and then click on "Menu Bar" in the list to permanently display it.

• How do i get the menu bar back as it has disappeared somehow?

so i dont have an address bar or the buttons for going back and forward amongst pages, tried looking through the firefox options but couldn't find anything to bring it back. also have tried right clicking on the tab bar and that doesn't bring up anything that can help.

Check that you still have the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" placed on the Bookmarks Toolbar
* Make sure that you have the "Bookmarks Toolbar" visible: "View > Toolbars"
* Check in "View > Toolbars > Customize" that the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is on the Bookmarks Toolbar
* If the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the Bookmarks Toolbar then drag it back from the Customize window onto the Bookmarks Toolbar
* If you see other missing items in the Customize window then drag them back from the Customize window onto one of the toolbars.
* If, in "View > Toolbars > Customize", you do not see that item then click the "Restore Default Set" button

• How do I get the activity bar back in Lion Mail 5.3

I tried installing mountain lion unsuccessfully over Lion on my 27" imac (16 gb RAM) i7 quad core, 2012 model. I couldn't do anything to make it load. It would say installation finished but upon startup the grey screen with rotating circle never quit. I finally gave up and restored it from time machine to Lion. A couple days ago I decided to give it another try, this time with maverick with all the same problems. Again another 2 days spend restoring to Lion but this time I had a lot of trouble with my mail not working when I got done. After a lot of work-arounds I got it working except for one thing. On the left side of my mail screen there is lists of all my mailboxes and at the bottom a little square labeled (Activity) and in that area I always get a blue bar showing the progress of an email being sent, and also the progress of one coming in. I get the one coming in, but no bar for the outgoing mail and can't figure out how to get it to work. I also never see the "outbox" listed when sending a large file anymore. Anybody else see this and have an answer? I thought about reinstalling mail but the Lion installer only has mail 5.0 and it's been updated to 5.3 so after using Pacifist to extract it, it won't restore. I was wondering if the new mail 7.0 inside of Maverick would install in Lion?

There are many threads on this, some prefer the grey look, others like don't.
If you still have a backup of the old Aperture you can extract the colored icons from the Resources folder in the Aperture application package and exchange them, but this is a risky operationa nd you will have to do it over and over again, see this discussion:
Re: Have today loaded the 3.3 up date on Aperture. After the up date the colour of the Menu Bar and all icons showing projects / albums etc are now grey. Any thoughts on how to reestablish the colours.

• How can I get the awesome bar back. In v. 31 I have lost it and my search box has no search engines. I did use the classic restorer back a few versions, but I d

This might be a duplicate-I neglected to click submit-so am trying again.
Since I upgraded to v. 31, my location bar makes me type the address in exactly, or else it says not a valid address. I guess somewhere the awesome bar got lost. Also, my search box does not have any search engines listed at all. Back around v. 29 I added the classic theme restorer addon, but did not think that would have affected the location and search bars as it upgraded. Any help you can give me will really be appreciated. I have worked on this for days. At one, time the location bar was gone completely.
Thanks in advance!

Do a clean reinstall and delete the Firefox program folder before (re)installing a fresh copy of the current Firefox release.
*Download the full Firefox installer and save the file to the desktop
https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
If possible uninstall your current Firefox version to cleanup the Windows registry and settings in security software.
*Do NOT remove "personal data" when you uninstall your current Firefox version, because this will remove all profile folders and you lose personal data like bookmarks and passwords including data in profiles created by other Firefox versions.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
*(32 bit Windows) "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\"
*(64 bit Windows) "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\"
*It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other personal data are stored in the Firefox profile folder and won't be affected by an uninstall and (re)install, but make sure that "remove personal data" is NOT selected when you uninstall Firefox.
If you keep having problems then also create a new profile.
