Need to give access to a room to multiple users at a time

Hi ,
My situation is like this . I need to create a room and give access to multiple users to that room at the same time . The user is not very comfortable with the interface and it's usability considering his education level but then he got to use the functionality as this is the solution suggested to the client . I am thinking of adding adding the room to portal favourites so that thay don't have to be taught the whole navigation path to go to the room and access the documents in that room . But let's say there are 200 users , and if adding that room to their portal favourites is part of my job , the only way I see to do that is login with each of their user id's and add the same . Is there a way I can do this with some batch job or something for all the users at the same time ?
I am aware that in the page for user management you can upload the user data and in that data you also can upload the user mapping information . This saves you the effort of individually mapping every user with the systems in the portal , by logging individually with their user id's . Can this be done from there or a similar kind of interface in KM&C ?

Hi Deepak,
The favorites are placed in the "userhome" repository. Take a look at KM Content -> userhome -> for each username -> Favorites, there you'll find links with the favorites. You can simply copy & paste those to the other users, so you don't have to login with each one.

The designer is usually someone who just handles the user interface portion of the code. The developer would handle core functionality. I assumed you were the developer and the designer was the designer. You are the client and your "designer" is the developer.
Ideally, you should create a business account so that you can add someone to your team. That is the way it is supposed to work. Otherwise, you will have to ask for the final source code so that you can build and submit the app yourself. You should always have the source code regardless. You should always perform the submission under your own account too. Otherwise, it is the developer's app, not yours.
Sharing accounts is against the Apple Developer agreement anyway. The App Store Gold Rush is over. Now it is mostly zombie apps and competing fraudsters. You don't want to give someone access to your iTunes account. You really don't want to give someone access to your bank account either.
The best solution would be to convert your account to a business account. You may be able to have the developer submit the app and then transfer it to you.

- Parallels is instal on my iMac. I use Parallels Desktop to run Windows 7 and Quick Books accounting software. This is the main reason I want to give access to my iMac because most task are done online using email and my online store platform.

I tried ScreenSharing, I don't think it can do the job. It is ok to connect to a another computer to fix something, but to use everyday, it looks slow.
How about Lion Server? Can it do the job?
What those thise involve? Buy another mac and installing my accounting software on it?

I found Open VPN on the internet, would it be a good option?
New to VPN, is it easy to setup my computer?

One last thing, I have this old PowerBook G4, do you thing this employe can connect to my imac using this laptop? If yes, does I need a special vesrion of Mac OS to make this work?

You are going to need a server of some type, web server, that you or your emplyees can connect to, concurrently, over a VPN connection.
I really don't thing this is the forum for this type of thing.

How to give access to my application for my users

I have created a report in APEX and i want to give access to users(not all) so that they can run the report.

I created an access control page and i have created two end users to view the application. After that i try to login from end users credentials it is saying
Access denied by Application security check but if i login in my account and click the run application and give end users credentials it is working.

Need to deny access to file manager for the user

I need to be able to deny access to the file manager, as I dont want my client deleting files. however, for some reason I have to allow him access to this as he needs to be able to upload files through InContext Editor (he needs to link pages to documents that are not on the server so he needs to upload them and to do this, I have to grant him access to file manager). How can I get around this? I dont want to have to reupload his site every time he deletes a file....

Unfortunately it can't be done - access to the file manager allows deleting as well as uploading and at this point that cannot be changed.

My company uses Firefox on Server 2008 R2 and need to set up selective mass cookie removal for multiple users at one time.

Solution Needed: Using VPN as a Jump off for multiple users to connect outbound to multiple 3rd party VPN

I work for a healthcare consulting company, we have 50+ consultants that work remotely from their home. We currently are cloud managed and for various reasons are looking for a solution to streamline our connection to our Clinics' personal VPNs. Our Clinics' VPNs vary greatly in regards to vendor and type of connection.
What we want to do:
Create a Jumpoff where all our consultants (simultaneously as well) can remote VPN into. From there be able to jump out to any of our Clinics' VPNs.
We need this because we have some consultants with foreign IPs and we also want to connect from Google Chromebooks which don't play nice with every type of our Clinics' VPNs. So the our Jump Off Box will have all the needed connections for any type of VPNs our Clinics use.
This solution should connect to our Clinics' side from their default VPN settings - Just a regular VPN connection from us to them.
From what I have been told is that this was attempted in the past:
Consultants VPN'd to our cloud server - RDPd to a machine and then VPNd out to our clinics. However this locked down the VPN and only one consultant could jump out.
What Cisco Product would allow us to do so?
How would this be set up?
Do we set up the Router to handle outbound connections?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

How do you restrict access of a pdf to one user at a time?

I need to put pdf's on a shared work server so that users can make their own individual comments on them, and so collate all corrections for me to then pick up in one pdf.
Question is, can I restrict the pdf in some way that prevents it from opening if another user has it open and is in the process of making their comments on it?

RV042 VPN Client Access not able to connect two users at same time

I have a RV042 and have set it up for VPN Client access using the QuickVPN client to connect my remote users. I discovered today that I cannot have two users connect in at the same time. Both users are in the same remote office. They can connect individually with no problem but if one is connected and the other tries connect also the second user gets a message the gateway is not responding. They are both running WinXPPRo SP3. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Were your QuickVPN clients behind a firewall router of some sort? For multiple QuickVPN clients to be able to connect to the remote RV042 at the same time, the local firewall router must have VPN Passthrough correctly implemented. You could try using a RV042 as the firewall router for your QuickVPN clients and you should be able to maintain 2 tunnels at the same time to the remote RV042.

Need to Restrict Revoke Close Option in Tcode CO02 (Under Functions - Restrict Processing - Revoke Close) through Role/Object Level. Can any one suggest how to control this . Need to give access for CO02 for 5 Users , but only 2 Users can able to do Revoke Close Option , other 3 Users should not able to do this activity.

There is no authorization object as B_USERSTAT_T , but there is a authorization object as B_USERSTAT . I tried to create a Temporary Role and manually assigned this Object . In this object there is no way to control REVOKE Close option .
But there is one way noted in Google to restrict Revoke Close option .
1.Goto BS22
2.Select the system status TEC0 (I0045) & just duble click it,
3.Maintain the Revoke technical completion (BUTA) =Forbidd (not allowed),
But if i set the above Parameter , this will restrict Revoke Option for all the users . I need to control ONLY for selective users . I can set some value in user data for those users , based on that i can write some coding to restrict , but i want to know where to write this code .... I tried in some area , but it never works.
Can any one give some idea to fix this issue.

Let me explain my douts, I have a web application to manage files and other thing.. But I need to give access to other user to have access without him to introduce an username and respective password, I know I can "give" him access with an url plus token. Like a sso token..
How can I generate that token??

Multiple Users need (maintenance) access to a customized table.

Hi Gurus
We created a z table and maintained couple of values in it
The _attributes _ are as follows:
Delivery Class : A (Application table (master and transaction data)
Table Maintenance : Display and Maintenance allowed
ISSUE :
This table does not allow multiple access. In other words, multiple users have to enter this table and change values in this table. Is that possible?
Could you let me know how can this be done?

By default, I think SM30, and probably SE16 as well, will lock the entire table if someone is trying to change it. So, only one person can maintain the table at a time. This is the simplest way that it can ensure data integrity.
If I wanted multiple users to be able to maintain a table simultaneously, I'd create a custom screen (dynpro, user dialog, whatever you want to call it) to do it, using lock objects (ENQUEUE and DEQUEUE function modules that you create for the key of your table) to lock / unlock specific rows when a user wanted to change them. I also might use some sort of reference number generator to ensure unique keys.
Not a terrifically complicated piece of development but you'd need to get a Abaper to do it.
