NEED TO KNOW YOUR OPINION ABOUT SOMETHING

first of all i would like to thank every one who has been replying to my questions thanks guys
for those who dont konw i am making my first game in java and its called BONEDIG its somewhat like battleship you hide the bones in grid and user tryes to find them
DONT WORRY THIS IS NOT A HOMEWORK OR ANYTHING I AM JUST DOING THIS SO I CAN LEARN MORE ABOUT JAVA AND WHO KNOWS GET A JOB OR SOMETHING SO I CAN MAKE MORE THEN 6.85(CND)/H SOMEDAY =)
ok what i have done so far is i made the engine or the game i hide the bones with out them overlaping each other and all in 2D array , now i wane add my GUI STUFF ok i tought about adding JButton but its looks kind fo fruity for this game you know having 100 BUTTON and user keeps pushing it i wanne add excitment to the game
ANY IDEAS WHAT ELSE I CAN USE
i should mention i am a newbie in JAVA
my seond question is that if i wanne 2 players play over net do i need to make a server or is there way in java the programs can comminucate with each oher in server, if there is , can you give me a webstie so i can learn how to do it
my third question is
IS THIS TOO BIG FOR ME SHOULD I JUST GIVE UP< I DONT KNOW I HAVE NEVER MADE SOMETHING THIS BIG IN MY LIFE =)
so far these are my problems heeheh i am sure i will bother you guys more as i try to finish this game

You could make graphics for the bones, and then as people click them they change into another picture, and then about the 2 players over a network, would be kind of hard for someone whos new to this. I think you should make a version 1 where you only can play withyourself or two players at the same computer, and then in version two make it be able to do a networking thing in which you can do multiple players across the internet. : - )

And making games like the one ur making isn't really that hard, just a lot of work. It's the games where you are shooting things, and making guys that try to kill you, cause ur actually making mini AI's doing that.
