Need to minimize spacing between text and footnotes

I'm editing a style manual (Librarian self-taught InDesign newbie!) and need to lesson the space between the end of the text and footnote line (So I can get all the material on one page.) I'm using a textbox with the footnote feature. I know that one of the Footnote Options should do it, but when I change the First Baseline Offset options it messes up the leading of the footnotes as well (which need to appear single spaced. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

That was it Ravi!!! Thank you so much!!!! I'm doing my happy dance

  • Translation - Reduce spacing between label and value

    Hi all,
    I have translated the text in multi languages. I am not able to adjust the gap between Text and input field.
    For example:
    Now displaying :
    1. Lang   'EN' ->  Customer : SAP
    2. Lang   'FR'  ->  Client:        SAP
    3. Lang   'DE' ->   kunde        SAP
    I need to  display as:
    1. Lang   'EN' ->  Customer : SAP
    2. Lang   'FR'  ->  Client: SAP
    3. Lang   'DE' ->   kunde: SAP
    Concatenate could not be done as i have to display field label in bold.
    So I want to reduce the gap between Field label and its content. Above example for english the gap is less but for other langauges gap or spacing is more. How to reduce the spacing?

    Hi Harryibm ,
    If you are simply outputting this information from data bound to the form the you may be able to use a floating field instead of a field and caption. You can just use a text element and then go to Insert->Floating Field while editing the text. You can then bind the floating field to the data connection as usual and the length of the text will vary depending on the content at runtime.
    Let me know if this helps.
    Ben.

  • Does anyone know what triggers the switch between text and iMessage in the middle of a conversation? Are there any differences in billing between text and iMessage?

    In the middle of a text conversation between another iOS 5.0 iPhone user and myself, the conversation elements switched back and forth several times between Text and iMessage. The phone actually tracked it and put little lines indicating the switch, and my comments changed from green to blue and back again. I can't think of anything I changed in the middle of the conversation. I was outside WiFi range, using the Cell network at the time. Now I tried it again, while i'm on WiFI and the messages are Text (green) again.

    1. Windows 8.1 Enterprise w Update is the best. It allows you for sideloading in corporate environment without additional tools and licenses.
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/jj874388.aspx
    2. N series is for EU (without IE).
    3. Profesional is fine, but you will need some tools to achieve the same functionality that you have in "pack" Enterprise.
    4. VL is volume license, a type of license for multiple computers (to say it simply)
    5. MSDN forum is better alternative for problems like this.
    6. Attached to MSDN are licenses or at least references to web resources. Read license agreements carefully and let your installation and use follow the license.

  • Large spacing between text

    I have large spacing between texts in plenty of programs in my Mac. It will show up in certain sites in Safari, Opera, and Firefox. Also in ITunes, Text edit, yahoo messenger, those are the only ones I've noticed. The spacing is only between lines of text and the spaces in between can be almost 2 inches big. I noticed too that in yahoo messenger and in text edit the font will be in 10 pt, but the cursor will be 72 pt big, but the text typed remains at 10 pt.
    I do recall a time before I updated to Tiger that I deleted some fonts or maybe a plug-in. I'm not sure if this is a missing plug-in issue or a font issue. I've tried fixing the font settings in each of the softwares/browsers mentioned above and it didn't make a difference. Please help!! It's incredibly annoying and still haven't found a solution to this problem.

    Thank you!! I went through Font Book and I didn't have duplicates for Courier in there, but I do have Suite Case and noticed that I had tons of duplicates and damaged fonts. I haven't gone through each damaged font yet, but I did quit suitcase and the problem was fixed. I decided to get rid of Suitcase anyways, because I don't like the software. Thank you so much for helping me with this problem. It's been such a nuisance for several months now.

  • Need to establish Connection between CRM  and   Virtual Directories.

    Dear All,
    I am working for Telecom project.
    I have one requirement that we need to establish Connection between CRM and   Virtual Directories.
    This is existing in Access management system.( SAP EP environment )
    The basic requirement is, with  SAP EP environment we are integrating 8 different application. But for all this Application we have a one more system called Access management system (like Basis in Sap). This will validate the user access and BP(Business Partner ) data for users who logon to a different respective application. For all this applications Company data (Master Data) has to provide from CRM and the changes took place for Company data in CRM will be updated in to Virtual Directories .For this service we need to establish Delta mode connection between SAP CRM and Virtual Directories.
    Which is existing in Access management system .
       Do we have any standard connectors from SAP CRM to connect and who we can achieve this .
    Please let us know..Certainly there will be a reward points
    Thanks & regards.

  • Spacing between textfield and text

    Anyone know how to set spacing between the text and border of a textfield?
    The docs say to use
    textfield.setMargin(new Insets(top, left, bottom, right));
    but that doesn't do anything.
    Thanks a lot for suggestions.

    The problem is that your border isn't going to use the margin of the text field (since it's not specialised for text fields). You've got a number of options:
    1) use the default border
    2) use a compound border with the default border inside
    3) write your own border that incorporates the text field's margin
    4) don't bother setting the margin and simply add a corresponding EmptyBorder into your compound border instead
    Option 4 is probably the quickest for you:
    textField.setBorder(new CompoundBorder(SOLID_BORDER, new EmptyBorder(10, 10, 10, 10)));Hope this helps.

  • Need one space between text and border line

    Please, help me.
    Is there any way to offset the text from the border a bit?
    I would like to have a black line around some boilerplate text, but the text is always butted against the border. Is there a way to offset the text a bit ?
    I've been searching in this forum and google and didn't find the answer yet.

    Hi, Lan
    if yo want to place a line you may choose underline option. Otherwise take a line/draw a line and keep space between the text and line.
    Hope this helps
    HamidIs there a way easily?
    I already know that that solution. But it is troublesome when I face editing later - I have to edit all of it.

  • Space between text and images?

    I have a gallery of images with headings above them and am trying to change the distance between the text and the images. I have tried floats and padding but cant get it to work. My headings are in a table and my images are not so it seems that there is some sort of default padding between the images and the text tables.

  • I ... Acrobat.... (sometimes, when I need to print PDF with text and image)

    First of all, I want to let Adobe know that you are a immens castle that is almost impossible to communicate with!
    I just want a simple question to be answered: I want to print a document which beholds text AND an image.
    If I print it, the image is NOT on the print (MacBook and iMac Yosemite)
    If I print it form my iPhone (6), the image is on the print.
    How can I fix it?

    You report your problem as using Acrobat on a Mac. You've posted in the Reader forum for iOS.
    I've moved your question to the Creating, Editing and Exporting PDF forum which seems more appropriate.
    You'll need to provide more information for us to be able to help you.

  • Need help with adding formatted text and images to Crystal Report?

    Here's my scenario:
    I have a customer statement that's generated as a crystal report and that has a placeholder for advertisement. The advertisement is mixture of formatted text and images. Until now we only had one advertisement that was always used on the report. The new requirement is that we would have a pool of hundreds of advertisements and would need to display one specific advertisement on the customer statement based on various marketing criteria. They key is that the advertisement content will be determined programmatically and cannot be hardcoded into the report. I'm using Crystal2008 with .net SDK.
    Here are the solutions I thought of, but I'm still rather lost and would appreciate your help/opinion.
    1) Pass HTML or RTF to the report
    Not really sure if this is possible and how to get it done. Also how would I pass in images? Would display formatting be reliable when exporting to PDF?
    2) Create each add as a subreport and append it programatically
    I actually have this working, but I only know how to append a new section to the end of the report and then load the subreport to the section. I have no other controll of the placement. Is there a way to dynamically load a subreport to a predefined section in the main report? How about adding a dummy subreport in the main report as a placeholder and then replacing it with a different subreport? How could I do this?
    3) Pass an Image to the report
    I would create each advertisement as an image and then would somehow add the image to the report. How would I load the image and control the placement? Could I somehow define a placeholder for the image in the main report-maybe a dummy image to be replaced?
    Thank you.

    Hello Pavel,
    I would got the third way.
    You can use dynamic images in your report.
    Just by changing the URL to the image the image can be changed.
    Please see the [Crystal Manual|http://help.sap.com/businessobject/product_guides/cr2008/en/xir3_cr_usergde_en.pdf] and search for images.
    or directly here

  • Mapping Design  - SOAP body content needs to be different between test and production

    Hello,
    We are integrating with a 3rd party SOAP receiver who uses the same web service URLS for test and production.
    So to differentiate they exposed 2 web services which do the same thing but have different root and payload node names...along with account details.
    For example, for production our SOAP XML must follow pattern like:
    <Envelope>
    <Body>
    <appRequest>
    <userID>produser</userID><password>prodpwd</password>
    <appPayload>
    <?xml>
    blah blah this XML is the same between test and production
    </xml>
    </appPayload>
    etc
    But for their testing we must use:
    <Envelope>
    <Body>
    <appRequestTest>
    <userID>testuser</userID><password>testpwd</password>
    <appPayloadTest>
    <?xml>
    blah blah this XML is the same between test and production
    </xml>
    </appPayload>
    etc
    So I'm trying to think of a good way to handle this difference in one set of mappings that we can use in our 3 PI platforms Dev / Test / Prod
    Since these differences are in the SOAP Body does it need handled in mapping or is there a way to handle it in the Adapter Config which is naturally different between our environments (mapping we like to keep the same).
    What is a smart way to handle this scenario?
    Many thanks,
    Aaron

    I second Artem when he states that this is a bad design decission from the caller's side.
    However this is not gonna help you in the current situation, right?
    The problem you are facing is that by poor design the message does not have a root node which you may use to handle occurences. Let me explain further
    You would be good if prod message looked like so
    <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
    <soapenv:Header/>
    <soapenv:Body>
      <appData>
       <appRequest>
       </appRequest>
      </appData>
    </soapenv:Body>
    </soapenv:Envelope>
    and test message looked like so
    <soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
    <soapenv:Header/>
    <soapenv:Body>
      <appData>
       <appRequestTest>
       </appRequestTest>
      </appData>
    </soapenv:Body>
    </soapenv:Envelope>
    --> Then you would have been able to specify occurence of <appRequest> and <appRequestTest> as 0..1
    So I think you have (besides what Artem already pointed out) 2 other options:
    1. activate "do not use SOAP envelope" on sender SOAP channel and then designing the data types like above
    2. Use HTTP instead of SOAP adapter and designing data types like above
    Hope I didn't miss something crucial :-)
    Cheers
    Jens

  • Need help with color between LR and PS and from PS to desktop

    Trouble with PS5 and LR4... when I go to "edit in Photoshop" from Lr... it opens and doesn't match the image in LR (colors)... same goes when saving edited image back to LR... also, when Saving from PS to desktop, it looks terrible unless I "Save for internet" ... how can I get this to all match? Both are selected SRGB

    If there is a difference between Lightroom and Photoshop that is in almost all cases an indication of a bad monitor profile. (a more remote possibility is the video card driver, specifically OpenGL, which would affect Photoshop only).
    The conversion from source to monitor profile should yield identical results if the monitor profile is good. But since the source color space is different, one conversion may go bad but not the other. It also happens that applications simply react differently to bad profiles.
    The Windows desktop is not color managed and a difference is expected.

  • BPM - Do we need receiver determination step between trans and sync send?

    Hi Gurus,
    I have a 1:1 transformation step followed by a sync send step. The transformation step is executing fine. While the sync step is executing, I am getting an error says 'No receiver determination found'.
    While I am executing this sync step in a separate, it is working fine.
    Do I need to have 'Receiver determination step' between Transformation step and Sync send step? I think so. Can somebody confirms this?
    Thanks for your kind help.
    Kalyan

    Hi,
    I think there is no need of a Receiver determination step in the BPM.
    You should have a proper receiver determination in configuration for this BPM scenario. (i.e) A receiver determination from BPM to the service configured for the synchronous interface.
