Need to open Audition version 3 session files in Audition 1.5...

Hey,
I know it seems like a strange request but I need to open session files that were created on Adobe Audition version 3 on a version 1.5 system, can any body suggest the right format?
Thanks!

While the 3.0 session files aren't backwards compatible, there are a few options to move information between them.
You could bounce each track down to a new file, then import these raw files into a new Au1.5 session.
The forum's own SuiteSpot has written a powerful session conversion application, which can not only convert between versions of Audition, but all sorts of other DAW formats as well!  Check it out at http://www.aatranslator.com.au/

  • Using Auditon 3 Session Files in Audition 1.5

Am using version 3 and I want to re-install my 1.5 version again.
My question is : can I use the session files I have made in Audition 3 when I re-enstall version 1.5.
When I installed ver.3 it automaticlly changed all my version 1.5 session file over to 3.
If any one knows how I can go back to ver.1 without loosing the session files I would really appreciate the info.

Thanks for the link I will give it a try.
The problem I have is when I try to open a session file in AA1.5 it opens a window that reads: Some waveform clips were not loaded in the session because they were higher track numbers not supported by this version of audition.
Really hope I can get these loaded or get them transformed back to a file that will open again. Really don't like AA3 at all.

Installing version 3 won't automatically change your AA1.5 sessions to v3.  The only way they will change is if you open your AA1.5 sessions in AA3 and then save them again.
Most applications will not allow earlier versions to open later versions as things will have changed that the earlier version is unaware of.
Audition is the same and AA1.5 cannot successfully open AA3 sessions.  The only product which may be of assistance is http://www.aatranslator.com.au
Download the demo and see if it suits your needs but be aware that many things such as fx, plug-ins, midi, eq etc are not candidates for conversion.

How export to csv work in safari browser?
In my application export to csv open like a raw data in new tab.
    But other browsers working great!.
Need to open in a csv file or save it as a csv file.
Please suggest me. Thank you in advance!.

    Hi Adrian,
Why don't you try any another software for opening CSV files then Notepad ? According to my experience, you can use these softwares to open an CSV files and they are:-
    Microsoft Excel
    Open Office Calc
    Google Docs
Also there is an additional tool available known as CSV viewer. You may try this, download it from here http://www.csvviewer.com/
I've never used Notepad for opening CSV files, because sometimes it contains some symbols which are not not at all compatibile with Notepad.

  • Need help opening really old FreeHand files

I have some very old FreeHand files, I'm not sure what
version but probably around v.5 or so. I have all the source files
and fonts and I'd like to reconstruct FreeHand files in version 10
or even 9 if possible. Problem is I can't open the old FreeHand
files through the menu options or by dragging the files onto the
    app icons.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I downloaded FreeHand BNDL
Resources from FreeHandSource.com a while back but they didn't seem
to do anything. Any help is appreciated.

Are you on a Mac? If your version of Freehand can open the
    version the
file was saved as you can open the file by dragging it to the
application icon while holding down the option and apple
    keys.

I use a PC - I need to open ai and eps files - what adobe program do I need to purchase?

You need Illustrator to open .ai files. That is, if you want to edit them.
If you just need to place them, then tell us what you want to do with the files.

    Bad news...
Although your answer gave me hope...and so said the Apple website...that i can buy the iWork 09 package in any Apple store, it is not true...
I live in China...170 km from the closest Apple store...so, i took the train and flew to Apple's Pudong Store...where they told me they don't sell the actual DVD software...just by Appstore...
So here i am...trying to figure out how to translate my Keynotes from my Tiger OS MBP, to my iPad...
Is Aple responsible enough to offer software that is not on their stores?...or...not giving me any solution, since i don't own a credir card?...
    So ****** off...
    Anyway..thanks for your reply...as i said...it gave some hope....for a while

  • Need To Open An Encrypted PDF File That I Created.  No Password.

I have Acrobat 8.  I created a document and then tried to put security on it.  Now I cannot even open the document.  It gives me the message:  "You do not have access rights to the encrypted document."  I never entered a password or anything.  I need to get this document reopened.  Also, I pasted some JPEG signatures into the document.  My reason for security measures was to make sure nobody could edit the document and right click and save as the signature JPEG.  First thing first- getting the document opened.  Then let me know how to just make it so that someone can only read and print the document and not be able to edit any typewriter insertions.  PLEASE HELP!!!!

    Hi Dom,
Let's start with Certificate Security is not the same as Password Security. If you had encrypted the PDF file using Password Security, then whatever password you used to lock the document you would use to unlock the document. It's pretty straight forward, and in the cryptography world it would be know as symmetrical security in that you use the same key (password) to lock and unlock the file. Think of it as using a key to lock your front door to your house when you leave and the exact same key to unlock the door when you return, that's what symmetrical security is.
Certificate security is a totally different beast. Certificate Security uses asymmetrical encryption meaning there are two different keys involved, a public key and its corresponding private key. When these keys are generated there is a voodoo that goes on that gives these two keys a symbiotic relationship in that (and this is the basic tenet of asymmetrical encryption) what one key locks only its corresponding other key can unlock. Either key can lock (really encrypt) something and only its corresponding other key can unlock (decrypt) it once it's been locked. Of these two seemingly magical keys one is designated as a private key that only the key owner has access to, and the other is designated as a public key that the whole world has access to. If you lock something with your private key then only its corresponding public key can unlock it, and yes that means that not even the private key can unlock it. You can also lock something using the public key in which case only the corresponding private key can successfully unlock it.
When you encrypt (think of that as "lock") a PDF file using Certificate Security you are encrypting the file using one or more public keys. That is, you encrypt the file for a list of recipients where each recipient has provided you with their public key and they in turn will decrypt the document using their private key. The number of recipients is theoretically limitless, but practically there is a limit in that each recipient you include will cause the file size to grow a little and at some point you'd make the file size too large for the computer to handle, but for the sake of our discussion think unlimited number of recipients. When you encrypted the file you were asked to select a recipient. If you don't also select yourself as a recipient then you end up locking yourself out of the file, and that's exactly what happened in your case. I see from above that you are using version 8, but I believe it was version 9 where we added the warning to make sure to add yourself as a recipient so as to not lock yourself out of the file (I can't remember if it was version 8 or 9, but since you didn't mention that warning I'll assume that we didn't add the warning until 9).
Unless you added yourself at the time you encrypted the file there is no going back to add yourself later because if you can't open the file you can't edit the file. You are locked out forever. You could ask the person that you included as a recipient to see if they can open the file and remove security, but you would have had to make them a document owner when you encrypted the file. If you restricted their editing capabilities then they won't be able to remove security, but at least you could see the contents of the file.
I know this has all been a bit geeky, and I haven't gone into how to procure a public/private key pair, but I don't want to dump too much data on you in one post. If you need more information let me know and I'll be glad to provide it.

  • New Mac User Needs help opening Microsoft office 2007 files on a Mac!!!

I just got a used ibook G4. I had an old Pentium upgrade IBM before. I love my Mac, but I need my old school files form my IBM. I have OpenOffice.org 2.2 for Mac OS X 10.4.11 and I have a file converter program called X 11 that opens with a huge list of options for converting files, but it dose not say Microsoft offices 2007 it says the version numbers. I tryed the latest version and It wouldn't open in OpenOffice.org. Should I use Apple Script instead? I don't have Apple Works do I need it? I just want to look at the files. Why is there not a office viewer for Mac?

    You have Tiger. Tiger=10.4.x; Panther=10.3.x; Leopard=10.5.x.
If you are trying with OpenOffice 2.2, it might be worth updating. I have version 2.4, which is the latest. Since 2.4 fixes a security issue, you should update if you plan to use the application anyway.
NeoOffice, as a previous poster pointed out, should be able to open Office 2007 documents.
See the discussion at http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=4542 for the main OpenOffice thread discussing this issue. It discusses the ODF converter at sourceforge which NeoOffice uses to open Office 2007 documents. Apparently, you can use it with regular OpenOffice, too, but if 2.4 doesn't come with it (and maybe it does - I haven't checked), it might be easier to use NeoOffice for now.
X11 is not a file converter, by the way. It is the traditional unix GUI. Apple provides a version of this for OS X which enables you to run applications which haven't been ported to the native OS X environment. OpenOffice for Mac OS X uses X11 as do some other applications, such as GIMP, which you may have heard of/used. NeoOffice is a version of OpenOffice ported to the native OS X environment (i.e. it doesn't have to use X11). I haven't used it in a long time - I always use OpenOffice on X11 - but it is supposed to be very good now and should seem very familiar if you're used to OpenOffice. If you can't get OpenOffice to work with your files, you should definitely try NeoOffice before buying MS Office - unless, of course, you especially want to send MS a few hundred of your preferred currency.
The other thing you can try, if you've still got Office on your IBM machine is converting the files there by opening them and choosing "save as...". That should allow you to select an earlier version of Word/Excel/... which OpenOffice should have fewer problems with. Since you may lose formatting this way, try the other options first. (Also, if you have a lot of files, this option will be very annoying to implement.)
I do not think AppleWorks is likely to help. (I'm not sure if AppleWorks is even still available... somebody?) There are some suggestions Pages might help, but I would personally try the other solutions first. (On the other hand, I have a very old version of Pages.)
AppleScript is almost certainly not what you want. It has nothing to do with AppleWorks. It is a scripting language.
    Good luck,
    cfr

  • Opening oldere version EPS files thro CS2

    Hi there,
I have a bunch of Photoshop EPS files created thro Photoshop version 4.0.1. When i tried to open the same thro Photoshop version CS2, image gets distorted. Can soem one help to fix this issue.
Note: I am not sure if the files are prepared thro Mac or Windows.
    Thanking in advance,

Check your Aspect Ratio correction in the view settings. Quite possible that your alleged EPS files are merely anamorphic TIFFs wrapped inside an EPS container. If that happens for vector content, then something is definitely wrong, but from your description I gather that this doesn't seem to be the case.

  • Excel won't open computer version of file

I just loaded Office 365.  My excel files are on C:\OneDrive on my desktop.  When I click on the file in Explorer, Excel opens but no file appears.  When I have excel open, and hit Open, I have to go to "Computer" to open the file
saved on my desktop.  When a cell references a cell in another Excel file, all the references have been changed to the OneDrive version on the internet, not the version that is on my computer.  It appears that excel wants to operate based on my OneDrive
versions on the internet, not the ones on my computer.  In the case of a Word document, this does not happen.  So there must be some option in Excel that wants to operate via the internet versions rather than my computer versions.

Maybe a shot in the dark but have you tried renaming your local file folder to something else then OneDrive. Make it MyOneDrive open the Excelfile and choose file save as in your 'new' filefolder and see if the problem still exists at that point.

  • Unable to open a session file.

    Hello everyone.
I'm having a few problems with my adobe and i urgently need help because i have a very important file i need to edit but it doesn't seem to open.
The problem is that whenever i try to open that specific session file, it says: "Audition has encountered an error. [|Monk|main|common|PremiereShell|Src|PlayerFactory.cpp-379]"
    "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
    Runtime Error!
    Programme: C:\Programme Files\Adobe\Adobe Audition 3.0\Audition.exe

    - pure virtual function call"
Sometimes it tells me to restart adobe. Do i have to reinstall it again? Or is it because the session file is corrupted ?

If you post the session file I can take a look at it for you - you can also email it to me via the aatranslator web site (if you want a quick reply)

You don't need an app, if your keyboard is supported, you can pair it with your phone:
