    wqn02h, first thing I would do is use Disk utility to repair permissions. Once this is done. Make sure you have the latest versions of the software you use. Also, check the manufacter of your printer/scanner for updated software. If they don't have updated software there are 3rd party alternatives that will work.

  • Need to re work project saved in Adobe Premiere 5.1 (PC) on CS6 (MAC)

    I need to re work project saved in Adobe Premiere 5.1 (PC) on CS6 (MAC). Thanks for any advice

    You will probably need a PC version of Premiere Pro newer than CS3 in order to open the file, and then save it again as the newer version.  From there you could possibly open that new version in CS6 on the Mac.

    Hi there @HpNepal , welcome to the forums
    I understand your printer is not detected over your wireless network from your computer. Although you mentioned you have done some troubleshooting, I would also suggest trying the steps from the guide I have found and posted for you below. The printer should be found if all steps are completed in order. Good luck!

  • Printer works for ipad but not laptop

    My printer works fine with my ipad but stopped working with my laptop. I have windows seven. I put the IP address in the search bar and went to the hp site. I tried to print a page from there and it worked fine. But I can't get it to work on any other site or for WORD.

    Hi Beckyls45,
    Welcome to the HP forums!
    I'm sorry to hear you haven't been able to print from your laptop recently, but I'd be happy to have a further look into things and see if I can help
    Which model HP printer do you have?
    Since you can get to the printer's Embedded Web Server (with the IP address in the address bar) you're still connected, but something seems to be blocking communication. I will suggest that you start with downloading and running the HP Print and Scan Doctor, and follow any diagnosis it may have to offer. If that says everything is fine or isn't able to resolve the issue for you, please just let me know.

  • HELP!!! need to print to video ASAP. NOT WORKING

    Hey,
    I've been trying to print to video a 3 hour piece, well, it's segments of many movies for a film festival. Anyway, i've used like 4 decks now, trying to capture on dvcam, and everytime i record something to tape, it just records like pink fuzz. i've tried using different firewire ports, and messed around with the settings. so does anyone know a sure fire way of allowing me to print to video?
    Thanks,
    Jared

    I had this happen to me a couple of days ago, and this is what I changed:
    I opened the Audio/Video Settings, then selected the A/V devices tab. Then I selected the Different Output for Edit to Tape/Print to Video check box and set the video to Apple FireWire NTSC and the audio to Firewire DV.
    After doing changing these things the video signal was sent to the camera and I was good to go. Hopefully that's what you need to change.
    Hope that helps.
    jesse.

  • [SOLVED]Printer working in Ubuntu, and not in Arch

    Hello,
    Well, it's a little bit weird I bought a new printer, it's a Epson SX415.
    Cups detects it as a Epson SX410, I tried to make it work with the following drivers:
    So, with the CUPS+gutenprint drivers, it seems to work (cups says job sent) but the printer doesn't make a move. With the foomatic drivers, cups says:
    stopped
    "/usr/lib/cups/filter/foomatic-rip failed"
    If it works with Ubuntu 10.10, I guess I'll be able to make it work under Arch, but currently I don't know how to do that :s
    Thanks

  • Image Adjustments Not Saved with DNG?

    It appears that the adjustments (i.e. all of the work you do to "develop" your pictures) are not saved with the image file. They appear to be saved in the LR Library. So if anything happens to your library, your developing work is gone. I thought my adjustments were saved with the DNG, but this does not appear to be the case.
    So, to be sure that my work is saved with the image, it appears that the processed files must be saved to a different format like JPG, TIFF, or PSD. With JPG quality is lost, and your ability to edit is severely compromised. With PSD and TIFF, you have another copy of extremely large files to deal with.
    Is my understanding correct?
    What are your suggestions to deal with this?
    Thank you.

    Geoff and John,
    Thank you very much.
    You confirm the critical point that your work is saved in the Library, and the Library must be closely supervised and backed up.
    Beside my on-site backups, I set up a Stuffit schedule to back up a daily version of my library. My current library is 57.6MB and Stuffit compresses it to 8.7MB and automatically FTPs it to my web site for archiving.
    I found that my 2GB file of previews is unnecessary, since my computer creates new previews almost as quickly as it reads the preview file, at least on a folder basis. So, I removed my preview files, and I have them saved for only one day in prefrences.
    For my DNGs, beside my on-site backups, I create a DNG with the RAW (NEF) file embedded and back them up on my web site. Then I create DNGs with Adobe DNG converter, without embedded RAWs (LR embeds the RAWs)to use for my working files.
    One of the reasons I decided to use DNGs is to avoid having separate XMP files. However, it sounds like you can export the XMP to the DNG without creating separate XMPs. I'll look in to that. I assume that exporting the XMPs to the DNGs will allow me to open them directly in CS2 (not by exporting from LR) or other programs with my adjustments intact. This would solve the problem of losing adjustments if the Library becomes dysfunctional.
    Thanks again.

  • Worked hours code

    Hello everyone,
    I need some help with an ABAP code:
    I have records coming in with Employee ID, Date and Worked hours along with some other fields.
    I need to look up the employee id against another table to figure out if the employee depends to a particular region or not and the date is holiday or not from different table.
    Also I would like to see if worked hours are more than 8 and put the extra hours into a differemt field for calculating if the total hours in a week exceed 40.
    Can you please help with this code?

    Sorry. here the Post again (complete )
    Hi Raj Coppar,
    try this code:
    this should be implemented in the End-Routine if you're working with BI 7.0.
    first you need to define the internal tables that have same structure as table where comparing information is stored.
    Code:
    Data: it_table TYPE TABLE OF /n42/YOURTABLE,
             li_table  LIKE LINE OF it_table.
    DATA:
               KALENDER      LIKE SCAL-FCALID,
               with_ATTRIBUTE LIKE SCAL-INDICATOR,
               lc_holiday_found    LIKE SCAL-INDICATOR.
    DATA: BEGIN OF FEIERTAGE OCCURS 5.
                INCLUDE STRUCTURE THOL.
              DATA: END OF FEIERTAGE.
    *Store needed information for comparison
    select * from /n42/YOURTABLE into table it_table.
    sort it_table by /n42/employeeID.
    Loop in the Data_PAckage
    LOOP AT SOURCE_PACKAGE ASSIGNING <source_fields>.
    *Check if Date is a Holiday
          CALL FUNCTION 'HOLIDAY_CHECK_AND_GET_INFO'
               EXPORTING  DATE                 = <source_fields>-Date.
                           HOLIDAY_CALENDAR_ID  = KALENDER
               IMPORTING  HOLIDAY_FOUND        = lc_holiday_found
               TABLES     HOLIDAY_ATTRIBUTES   = FEIERTAGE
               EXCEPTIONS HOLIDAY_CALENDAR_ID_MISSING       = 1
                            DATE_AFTER_RANGE                  = 2
                           DATE_BEFORE_RANGE                 = 3
                           DATE_INVALID                       = 4
                           HOLIDAY_CALENDAR_NOT_FOUND        = 5.
    *read internal table and make your checks
    READ TABLE it_table BINARY SEARCH INTO  li_table
          WITH KEY /n42/employeeID = <source_fields>-/n42/employeeID.
    if record was found.
          IF sy-subrc EQ 0.
    *if region is.....
             if li_table-/n42/REGION = "Whatever" and
    *Date is a Public Holiday
             lc_holiday_found = 'X' .
    *Claculate Overtime
                 if <source_fields>-Hours > 8.
    *write overtime to Overtime Field
                  <source_fields>-overtime = <source_fields>-Hours - 8.
                 endif.
          ENDIF.
    modify Result_Package.
    endloop.

  • Need help printing tiff files

    I have written some code that prints any file that can be opened using JAI and the ImageIO Tools. The code works good for me but I have some special cases where I am having some difficulty. Some files I need to print are TIFF files with many pages. Some are compressed using Fax Group 4 encoding and others are compressed using OLD jpeg-in-tiff. I can read and print the files just fine, but it takes about 2 seconds to print each page. Also the spooling data for 88 pages is 900 MB in size. Printing the same files using IrfanView takes <1 seconds and the spool file is much smaller (equivalent to the size of the uncompressed tiff) The speed and size issues are problems for me because I am working on a print web service. My code to render each page is below. So far I have tried rendering hints and such to increase speed, but I think the problem is that when I read the image it takes up a lot of space in memory.
    Here is the overall requirements for what I am doing: A use will request that the server print a set of files (mixed image formats, restricted to TIFF, JPEG, and GIF) be printed to specific printer as a single print job. They can specify copies and collation only. The service will open each file in order and send its data to the printer. I have created a custom class that implements the Printable interface to handle the multiple files. The class below is created for each file and handles the printing of the image file.
    I am using JDK 1.4.2 and WebSphere. I am stuck with these options b/c I have to use some IBM API's (IBM Content Manager 8.3) that are not compatible with 1.5 or higher.
    Is there any way to speed up my code. Possibly load the image differently?

    I found a couple of issues. One was related to code the other to IBM. AS for the code I found an article about drawing scaled images here: http://today.java.net/pub/a/today/2007/04/03/perils-of-image-getscaledinstance.html which was quite useful. My updated code is below. The second issues is that the JRE I am using is the IBM Websphere 5.1 JRE which pretty much sicks. I tested using a Sun statndard 1.4.2 JRE and the print was 5 times faster. Now I am looking to find a way around that issue, but it is not a questions for this form.
