  • Adobe Reader Extension: no .pfx nor .p12 file on Adobe portal

For full disclosure: I'm asking as reseller for one of my customers.
This customer purchased Adobe Reader Extension, has installed it, and now needs a .pfx or .p12 file to configure its credentials. They claim there's nothing on the Adobe customer portal.
It should be available as ESD on there, right? If so, where exactly would they be able to see it (I would presume under the Reader Extension tab)?
How can I help the customer obtain its .pfx or .p12 files as soon as possible?
    Thanks!

  • Questions regarding Adobe Reader Extensions for Adobe Livecycle.

    Hi,
I'm relatively new to Adobe products, having just started to use Adobe Livecycle over the last couple of weeks. I've produced a set of interactive forms for field engineers to use. When completed, they will submit the xml data via email. However, there will be numerous occasions where they will need to stop in the middle of data collection and come back at a later point to finish, hence the need to locally save the information before submission.
I understand this is where Adobe reader extensions would come in, unlocking this functionality.
At the moment, i'm a bit of a loss on several points regarding how reader extensions work and i was wondering if anybody could fill in the gaps:
    1. Are they seperate modules that bolt in into the main Livecycle application?
    2. As these forms will be used off line, i would like to set the permissions to the pdf locally. From what i read, Reader Extensions is a server product. Is this correct, or can i use Reader Extensions to set these permissions before publishing the adobe form?
    3. Where can i get hold of Reader Extensions and how much do they cost? I have been reading information on similar topics on this forum (dating 3-4 years ago) that say reader extensions are comparitavely expensive to a Adobe Pro/Livecycle licence. ($50,000 upwards) Is this correct? If so, is there a cheaper alternative to achieve the same outcome?
I hope someone can shed some light on these points!
    Thanks in advance.
    Rob

Reader Extensions can be bought as a module in LiveCycle. There is a subset of RE functionality that exists in Acrobat. The ability to save locally is part of Acrobat. In both cases you woudl RE the form before distributing it, hence when the user gets your form they are ready to go. You can download a trial version of the server product. As far as pricing goes you woudl be better to talk to an Adobe salesrep as there are discounts for certain situations as well as different pricing options. If you decide tp gp the Acrobat route you ar limited, by licence, to distribute your form to a max of 500 users.
    Hope that helps

  • Adobe Reader Extension Software 7

From where can I get / download the Adobe Reader Extension Server 7.0
I tried on "http://www.adobe.com/products/server/readerextensions/main.html" link also, but there it does not give any link for download.

    Tejraj:
You cannot download a trial version of LiveCycle Reader Extensions.
The easiest way to get started with LC Reader Extensions is to join the Adobe Enterprise Developer Program. When you join the program, you get access to LiveCycle software, including Reader Extensions, as well as developer support (via email) for 1 year.
For more information about the program, head to http://partners.adobe.com/public/asn/developer/detail_edp.html To join the program, purchase it through the online store at http://store.adobe.com/store/products/master.jhtml?id=catEnterpriseDeveloper
If you have questions about the program, I'm more than happy to answer them.

  • Do we need to purchase Adobe Acrobat before we purchase FormsCentral Plus to get its full capabilit?

Do we need to purchase Adobe Acrobat before we purchase FormsCentral Plus to get its full capability?

Acrobat lets you created PDF forms that can be used with FormsCentral, and Acrobat 11 comes with the desktop version of the FormsCentral designer application, which can create PDF forms. Acrobat does not include a subscription to the FormsCentral service, so that is separate, but it does come with Acrobat Plus: https://www.acrobat.com/acrobatplus/en/home.html
Acrobat is not included with a FormsCentral subscription and you do not need it for the full capabilities of FormsCentral.

Are you expected to download files from the course to look at on your computer or will all of the course be done completely online? If the course takes place entirely online, what may be needed is the Adobe Reader plugins getting installed properly in Safari. Since you're posting this in the Yosemite forum we can assume your using Yosemite, not Snow Leopard (10.6.8), so the plugins may not automatically be working. Assuming Reader has actually been installed, take a look at the instructions Adobe gives for activating the plugins.
BTW, do you have "Adobe Reader" in your Applications folder?

  • What version of Adobe Reader Extension  ?

    hi,
I am running Adobe Reader Extension v7.0 to certify form.
We have a couple of issues of form which behave differently when forms are openning in browser and form operates on Windows. Basically, the checkbox is not checked etc..
Does anybody know if there is an issue of form certify on Reader extension 7.0 and forms is open in Adobe Reader 7.0.5 or above ?
is there any service pack for Adobe Reader Extension 7.0 ?

I'm not aware of any issues there Edward - we did just release Reader 7.0.8 and while the change notes don't mention anything specific to ARES it might be worth giving it a try with the latest version.

  • Purchased Adobe Reader - Each time I try to convert doc pop up wants me to buy again

I purchased Adobe Reader a few weeks back and downloaded program on line. Each time I try to convert a doc to PDF, I get the pop up asking me to purchase Adobe Reader again?  I'm not sure what to do.

Ok, good. PDF Pack works as an add on to Reader. What is supposed to happen is that you go to the Tools box and Sign In. Be sure to use the same Adobe ID you used to subscribe. Then the Create and Export buttons should just work. Does that happen?

  • Need to install Adobe Reader to a 64 bit folder and not (x86) default 32 bit folder

    Hi
We have a program on our system which searches on local machines for their Adobe Reader in able to open up a pdf. Only one pc on our network is 64 bit and of course when installing Reader will default install to C:\Program Files (x86).
We need to be able to install AR to C:\Program Files to allow the databse to work on this 64 bit pc.
I have tried using the cmd feature and also adobe customisation wizard but to no avail.
Is there any way to change folder location on install?
    Many thanks

The software is wrong? How do you mean?  The software by default tells the users computers to use Adobe Reader to open up the created pdf files by this program. This program has been designed for a specialist purpose and cost thousands. Unfortunately the default location is under the 32 bit directory which is Program Files on all the 32 bit machines which is just fine. Now we need the 64 bit pc to be able to run this software but changing the default location of where to find adobe reader would mean the 32 bit pc's would not work. To add another location would mean the designer of the program charging another huge amount (approx £300).
All I am asking is there anyway installing AR can override the default location in a 64 bit pc and put adobe in C:\Program Files as if it were a 32 bit pc?
Many thanks for replies so far
